Steve MIller band was as good as always

by pkfalways on 7/3/10DTE Energy Music Theatre - Clarkston

Their sound was full, of voice and instrument. The acoustics at DTE were especially good with this band, for some reason. I don't remember the sound being that goood in the past

Steve Miller & Peter Frampton - Great Combo!

by npm006529 on 7/3/10DTE Energy Music Theatre - Clarkston

I gotta tell ya...Mr. Frampton & Mr. Miller rocked "Pine Knob" last night. Awesome crowd. Awesome weather. Awesome music. A lot of the old standards plus some new takes on traditional Chicago blues. Great concert for guitar fans. Metro Detroit music fans showed themselves very well once again! Well done gentlemen!!! BTW...Frampton's "Thank You Mr. Churchill" and Miller's "Bingo" are great new offerings from these legends.

I've seen Steve Miller every year for the last 15 years at DTE. Last year was a little disappointing and this year was the same. He didn't play enough of his hits and he spent too much time talking about his Rock Free program he was supporting. This will be the last time I see him.

My wife and I had a good time at the show however the stage was so,so and Steve Miller talking about is point of views needs to be for TV talk show not for this were I paid $145.00 to hear his music not his views on the USA. Also he needs a better stage show to go with thier music kind of borning.Peter Frampton was also great but again borning stage show.

    Steve Miller was AMAZING!!!

by SMillerfan on 8/24/09The MGM Grand at Foxwoods - Mashantucket

Steve Miller was amazing!!! He played an awesome set with the band and also a few solo acoustic songs. The best was the encore when he broke out his Gibson double neck. He also dedicated a song to his late guitar mentor Les Paul!!! AWESOME!

The Steve Miller Band Concert at the MGM Grand was incredible! Each band member was jammin'! The lighting and sound was quite impressive. The crowd was so into it and a few people even danced in front of the stage. What a fun atmosphere! Steve Miller was very cool and gracious. It was an unforgettable show. Steve Miller Band did not miss a beat.

    Steve Miller was spectacular!!!

by LMF57 on 8/23/09The MGM Grand at Foxwoods - Mashantucket

The last time I saw The steve Miller Band was in1976 in NY. I thought his and the bands performance was fantastic.I love his new band member, Sonny Charles.....What a voice and really cool dancer!! He was very entertaining. I loved hearing Steve Miller's stories of the old days. His new songs with Sonny are awesome. I would say this was one of the best concerts I have seen all year. (And, I have seen at 7 this year alone). Keep on Rocking Steve Rocking me baby .......baby baby baby..................

    Steve Miller

by bobcaff41 on 8/23/09The MGM Grand at Foxwoods - Mashantucket

The show was great! Steve is showing his age a bit, but aren't we all. Can't understand with all the hit songs and music that he has made, why did the band have to play a couple of songs twice. They were his best hits and brought the crowd alive anyway. Foxwoods MGM for being new looked like a dump. They definetly missed the mark with this theater

Steve Miller Band brought back many memories

by Scal on 8/23/09The MGM Grand at Foxwoods - Mashantucket

He played all his hits and some new material. The vocals were strong and the band he assembled was really good. If you enjoy his music, the show is worth seeing.

    Steve Miller was a blast!!!

by Licilu on 8/23/09The MGM Grand at Foxwoods - Mashantucket

This show was amazing! It was great seeing people of different generations singing along and having a great time. The sound quality was fantastic, not distorted at all, but could have been a little louder. His acoustic set was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended!! So glad I went.

    Anazing Guitar

by ItalianIce on 8/23/09The MGM Grand at Foxwoods - Mashantucket

Steve Miller played his greatest hits and all were the familiar tunes and sounds that we love with some great solo's and rifts added to spice things up. Stevie Guitar didn't dissapoint - he hasn't lost a step and electrified the audiance with his amazing talent. A smattering of blues tributes Les Paul and others fit in with the bands traditional songs and helped to accentuate Steve Miller's mastery of the guitar. If there was a weekness to the event it is the addition of a blues singer to the band - his on stage dancing and the songs he sang were the weakest part of the concernt.

    Steve Miller hasn't lost anything

by Locust on 8/23/09The MGM Grand at Foxwoods - Mashantucket

Steve Miller concert was very good. His singing and guitar work remain superb. Sound quality of the band and venue were excellent. Harmonmica and other guitarist were also really good. New member of the band Mr. Charles was a distraction dancing around, not playing any instruments, and most of the songs he sung were the least memorable of the show. Band could do without him. Rest of the band was tight and on target. The Bo Diddley tribute "new song" was a poorer version of "Who Dd You Love," and thus it would have been better to just cover the original. Paul Paul tribute worked well. Song selection was generally quite good but could have been even better by adding "Living in the USA" and "Space Cowboy" rather than some of the songs Charles sung. Steve Miller acoustic songs by himself were superb. Without Charles and some different song selections the concert would definately be a 5. I definately would go see Steve Miller again.

    Steve Miller Band

by Davysparks on 8/23/09The MGM Grand at Foxwoods - Mashantucket

This was a great show starting with Swing Town. Steves playing and singing were in good form tonight. He played the usual greatest hits mixed in with some new material and a nice acoustic set in the middle of the show. The crowd loved it and he obviously feeds off the crowd. All in all it was a very nice evening.

Steve Miller at MGM Grand, Foxwoods

by Reben on 8/23/09The MGM Grand at Foxwoods - Mashantucket

Show started at 8:15 with a very enthusiastic crowd. While Steve played a number of his past hits he also included a couple of songs from an album that is in the works along with a few songs by other artists. He also payed tribute to Les Paul and told a story about him. The show lasted just under 2 hours and was fantastic. Now it is time to wait for the new album.

Steve Miller put on an Awesome show!! He had the crowd going from the minute he stepped on the stage until the very end and we didn't want it to end either! The audience was made up of every age group, I was surprised at how many young fans he has. There were 2 19 yr old girls behind us rockin out, it was great! Can't wait to see him again!
