    Top-notch show!!!!

by Rachel on 6/23/19Anthology - Rochester - Rochester

1st time I've seen this band as well as 1st time to Anthology where their show was held due to weather. I was super impressed with both!!! I had VIP tickets, so my friend and could walk right up to the stage. Start Making Sense sounded and looked sensational!!! So glad we went!!! If you are a Talking Heads fan you will love them, if you are unfamiliar with Talking Heads, you will STILL love them!!! We had a wonderful time and the staff and felliw fans were friendly and kind. It was a very positive atmosphere and this band deserve huge accolades!!!!!

Jon Braun looks, moves, dances, and sings like David Byrne. If you’re a Talking Heads fan Start Making Sense is a must see band! Go see and enjoy them!

Start Making Sense 5 Star Performance Venue 3

by armdanger on 10/9/18The Stone Pony - Asbury Park

I’m not a big fan of tribute bands but this one is special. If you like the Talking Heads go see them you will have a blast. The three star rating is the venue rating, if you have ever been to the Pony you know what I mean.

Fantastic shows in a classic venue

by WWTraveler on 10/9/18The Stone Pony - Asbury Park

Both Start Making Sense and Arlan Feiles were fantastic. The shows, performances and vocals from the leads and backup singers were brilliant. I highly recommend seeing either or both when you can.

by Fan159 on 12/11/17Port City Music Hall - Portland

Saw two years ago, same venue. Impressed with this tribute band then, and even more impressed now. Glad they enjoy playing in Portland, Maine. Hoping to catch them every time they stop by Port City Music Hall.

    Such a Great Time!

by Mastah on 6/19/17Port City Music Hall - Portland

Start making sense performed Talking Heads songs with such enthusiasm and musical precision, it was hard to tell them from the real band! the stage presence and mannerisms, not to mention the stellar vocals, of the David Byrne front man was impeccable! We danced all night - and the Port City venue was fantastic as well.

Not enough hits from Talking Heads

    by Eli1967 on 12/27/16The Wilbur - Boston

It is our second time of coming to see the group. We really like them!! We felt it was too long and not enough famous hits from Talking Heads. So... if you are a die hard fan of Talking Heads, you probably would not notice... but... we are very much fans but we don't know ALL their songs and we felt there were not enough hits. I would enjoy it much more if there were more hits and less of the non-hits songs.

It's not...yesterday...anymore.... And it shouldn't be. Yes Start Making Sense is a tribute band but their own personalities shine through. Talented musicians, great stage presence, and a fun diverse crowd. Highly recommended!

    Wild Wild Night!!!

by year100 on 12/29/15Paradise Rock Club - Boston

This was the most fun I've had since the Stop Making Sense tour back in the 80s. First they came out with a Hall and Oates tribute band which was great. Then, amazingly, the same band came out to do the TH tribute and they were spot on. Like the SMS tour it was like watching a cardio workout at s gym. Constant motion, dancing , including all the DB mannerisms and even The Big Suit!! They played for over 2 hours and hit every great TH song. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will go again next time they're in town.

    Fantastic show and venue

by KazN on 12/16/14Port City Music Hall - Portland

Went to see Start Making Sense and to my surprise HMFO (Hall and Oats) cover band was the opening act. A very pleasant surprise and great talent. When Start Making Sense played they worked so hard and truly earned me as a new fan. I travel to see bands/shows often and the venue and the performance was top notch. I look forward to seeing them again in the Boston area.
