Everyone including the boss was funny!

It was an incredible event. It was wonderful to see the kind of appreciation people have for those that served.

    Great show

by Pucky52 on 11/13/15The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

Very funny. Pleasantly surprised with all of the celebrities. Never new Bruce was a comedian too! No surprise guest! The auction went on longer than it should have but after all it was a benefit Also the theater at MSG is a great place to see a show, not a bad seat in the house

    Another Amazing Show

by Jetlag4 on 11/13/15The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

This was our second year at this great event. We enjoyed it even more than last year's show. Great performances by all of the comedians, and of course, the highlight was Bruce Springsteen. And, let's not forget the real stars of the show, all of the veterans who served our country so bravely. We'll be there again next year.

Great Event for a Great Cause

by Jetlag4 on 11/10/14The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

My wife and I attended the Stand Up for Heroes comedy show, with musical guest Bruce Springsteen. It was funny and inspirational at the same time. The tributes to our military heroes was awesome. Bruce is the highlight of the show. I give Bob and his wife a lot of credit for pulling this together. Also, my first visit to the theater at MSG - what a great venue!

John Oliver hilarious. Springsteen can crack too.

by Ustaman on 11/8/14The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

A fundraiser as it was, quite some time was devoted to boring auction. Comics were great. No female comic at all though. Springsteen can still sing. But wished he had a band too instead of just a guitar. .. Which was auctioned off for $300k!

    Where was John Mulaney?

by Ching2000 on 11/8/14The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

The event was inspiring and funny, and major props to the organizers. Just wondering: Where was John Mulaney? He was one of the headliners and the reason I bought my ticket and flew from San Francisco.

    Inspiring night

by Waltinridgefield on 11/8/14The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

Great night of comedy and music. John Oliver was brilliant - had me laughing so hard I was in tears. Springsteen played a short acoustic set and interacted with the audience. It was great to see all the artists and watch the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff belt out "New York, New York". But the true highlight was when a young Marine Captain, paralyzed by a bullet from the chest down, walked out on stage in a mechanical exoskeleton that allows him to walk. The crowd rose to its feet and gave a long standing ovation as he slowly walked to the microphone and remained standing while this impressive young man bravely recounted his story and encouraged everyone to rise to the occasion when confronted with adversity. As he turned to walk away, it appeared he was having trouble making it work properly. Out of the awkwardness of watching him struggle, the difficulties he faces and the true depth of his sacrifice were evident. The applause got louder and the audience encouraged him. I cannot believe that there was anyone there not moved by him.

Such an amazing show. Honoring our veterans with amazing talent made for an incredible evening. The comedians were hilarious and seeing Bruce play acoustic in such a small venue was better than any concert of his I've been to. Hoping to go back to this event every year

    Bruce is the boss

by norle on 11/8/14The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

The acts were excellent. Funny but a little bit too crude in some spots. The entire evening well orchestrated. Putting the spotlight on 'the course' and the true heroes for whose benefit it happened. Thanks to all the performers for shining a light on our men and women who gave so much. Bruce was the Boss! Humble and brilliant and generous.

Stand Up for Heroes Benefit completely Awesome!!!!

by RHyoga on 11/8/14The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

The line-up of performers both top-notch comedians and BRUCE were thoroughly entertaining as well as humble in their thoughts and actions. The event makes you want to reach out and hug every uniformed military personnel that protects our country. We both laughed and cried and felt extreme pride for supporting this magnificent cause.

Show was excellent. I wish each performance was longer, but it kept the show moving. After all it is a charity event. I can't believe people have hundreds of thousands of dollars to give away.

It's all in the timing...leave more room for Bruce

by AbnerMB on 11/12/13The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

The performances were tremendous and it was a real treat to have Bill Cosby lead off the show. But for my money, and I wasn't in the cheap seats, there was way too much self-congratulatory preamble constraining Springsteen to three songs. I was happy to support such a good cause and was moved by the stories and performances by the Heroes we all came to support. But let's face it, for many in attendance Bruce was the draw and frankly we got cheated.

    It was a privilege

by GoVets on 11/11/13The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

...to be in the same building with so many vets who were gracious, funny, and humble. I'm disappointed I did not get a program - they were out. Out of all of the comedians, Jim Gaffigan was the funniest by far - he had me laughing so much I cried. Waters' humility and graciousness to the vets was very touching, and RW singing "Imagine" was an excellent choice. Springsteen's set was great.

    The most uplifting event ever!!!!!!!!!!

by Rickshaw1 on 11/10/13The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

Having flown from UK day before show to see The Boss do three songs then go home the next day I was also blown away by Roger Waters and his band of Wounded Warriors - the version of Hallelujah was probably the most moving thing I have ever had the privilege of watching live and the rest of his band were an inspiration to everybody who were lucky enough to get a ticket. I left Madison Square Gardens a much better and much more humble man than I ever thought could be possible! Thank you Bob Woodruff and team for making my world a much better place.

It was disappointing that Roger Waters and Bruce Springsteen chose to both do 3 obscure songs. With the exception of Comfortably Numb, neither artist performed songs you wanted to hear. Bill Cosby and Jerry Seinfeld were funny and did not feel the need to use curse words. It nice to know that there are still comedians that can keep it clean and be funny.
