About

STAIND IN CONCERT:

With three consecutive No. 1 albums of anthemic nu metal in the '00s, Staind became one of the most successful alt-rock groups of the decade.  Blending muscular guitar shredding and singer Aaron Lewis's emotional, melodic lyrics, the band's impressive live shows span their entire discography, treating fans to studio-perfect renditions of their biggest hits alongside alternative, countrified versions of songs like "Mudshovel."

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed in Massachusetts in 1994, Staind started out playing hard rock covers in local clubs before self-releasing their 1996 debut Tormented. While they only pressed four thousand copies, the album garnered enough attention to land them a deal with Flip Records and the production assistance of Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst for their 1999 follow-up Dysfunction. The album received favorable reviews and drew comparisons to nu metal legends like Korn, but its reception paled in comparison to 2001's Break the Cycle, an international No. 1 and multi-platinum smash. The band's next four albums would all land in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200, establishing an impressive catalog of hits and building anticipation for the band's rumored return to the studio in 2014.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Staind was unbelievable. The band sounded amazing. Aaron's voice gives you chills live. They played everything...They even played quite a few new songs which they totally killed on."

"Staind dug deeply into their classics to get the crowd going. Aaron Lewis was great and seemed to be having fun during an audience participation sequence. Staind played every song I wanted to hear plus more so I left very satisfied."

"I expected a top flight show from Staind and got it...they exceeded my expectations. They had a great mix of hard and soft music; all Staind."

    Fan

by Staind on 5/12/24Van Andel Arena - Grand Rapids

The music was great but the band and lead singer was hard to see even sitting in the lower bowl of the arena. The big screen was lacking close up of the band and really couldn’t see the concert. The light show was good but would rather see the lead singer. Not a great experience.

Great concert, not enough restroom accessibility.

by Terrible restroom situation. on 5/12/24The Santander Arena - Reading

Love both bands. Not sure what was up with Staind as the mix was way too bass and drum heavy, which resulted in drowning out the subtleties and vocals of their music. I love my music loud, but it was just muddled up. Not sure if they were just tuned in for a larger arena, but they definitely need to adjust for one on the smaller size. Also this arena needs way more restroom facilities. They would def sell more drinks if I knew I would not miss so much of the show waiting to use the bathroom.

    Awesome concert

by Bobbyb on 5/12/24Van Andel Arena - Grand Rapids

Great lineup! 4 unexpectedly great bands. Loved that the floor tickets were not over $100(I’m so tired of overpaying for concerts, it’s gotten out of hand). The only downfalls were: The concert started at 6pm and they should have made the whole main floor general admission. All in all we had a great time and it was worth the 3 hour drive.

    A better view

by Urmy on 5/12/24Van Andel Arena - Grand Rapids

We bought pricey tickets with a good view and the whole show people stood up and blocked our view. This happens a lot ! My boyfriend is handicapped and can’t stand the whole concert. I would love to see Van Andel sell tickets that restrict people from standing in certain sections. The groups were great but the view was horrible!

Left 1/2 way through due to too many openers

by Bnov25 on 5/12/24Van Andel Arena - Grand Rapids

I went to concert for Seether 1st & for Staind 2nd. Wanted to see them both. But at last minute was informed of 2 additional openers. This was too much unexpected and by time Staind began was “done”. Sadly left Staind early - not because they were not awesome but because we were “done”.

Great show with great sounds and visuals

by Seb on 5/12/24Van Andel Arena - Grand Rapids

After watching Seether in complete darkness and bad/poor lighting. Staind blew it out of the water. Great visuals, sounds and entertaining. The songs were mostly classics with a few mewer songs. Wonderful crowd interaction and entertainment

This venue is simply awesome. Very well organized. No long lines because they had plenty of employees. Everyone is kind and willing to help. I'll be back.

    Great venue,, great concert

by LS on 5/10/24Vibrant Music Hall - Waukee

Loved this venue, lines are small and clean place. Multiple bars , lots of bathroom stalls so no lines there. Coat check for coats and other personal items(small fee)and a cash to card machine. Only issue I see is they pour your beer from a can to a cup , not sure if there is a reason for this but seems like a waste- no reason for the cup. Otherwise everything was great!

    Stained rocks!

by GG on 5/10/24Vibrant Music Hall - Waukee

Stained killed as expected. Played everything you would have wanted to hear. These guys rock! Vibrant music hall is very nice as well. Large drink selection and the venue doesn't have a bad spot in the whole house. Looking forward to many more shows there.

    Great Performance!

by Ritch on 5/10/24Vibrant Music Hall - Waukee

Staind covered songs from each album in their set; every song was performed to perfection and sounded great! Aaron Lewis is a living legend and is bonified with his songwriting and longevity with Staind and his work in the country music industry. Highly recommend to see them live while you can…

This was the second time I saw them this year. I loved the first concert so I had to see them again. The second concert was even better than the first. They just keep getting better.

This performance from Tim Montana, Saint Asonia, Seether and Staind exceeded expectations. By far one of the best performances I've been to in a long time, sound was on point.

    Amazing time despite the showtime

by Jeremy on 5/8/24Pinnacle Bank Arena - Lincoln

I was really apprehensive about attending a show on a Sunday night. I figured I would end up staying for a little bit and leaving before the headliners performed. I ended up staying for the majority of the show and loving every minute.
