STAIND IN CONCERT:

With three consecutive No. 1 albums of anthemic nu metal in the '00s, Staind became one of the most successful alt-rock groups of the decade.  Blending muscular guitar shredding and singer Aaron Lewis's emotional, melodic lyrics, the band's impressive live shows span their entire discography, treating fans to studio-perfect renditions of their biggest hits alongside alternative, countrified versions of songs like "Mudshovel."

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed in Massachusetts in 1994, Staind started out playing hard rock covers in local clubs before self-releasing their 1996 debut Tormented. While they only pressed four thousand copies, the album garnered enough attention to land them a deal with Flip Records and the production assistance of Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst for their 1999 follow-up Dysfunction. The album received favorable reviews and drew comparisons to nu metal legends like Korn, but its reception paled in comparison to 2001's Break the Cycle, an international No. 1 and multi-platinum smash. The band's next four albums would all land in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200, establishing an impressive catalog of hits and building anticipation for the band's rumored return to the studio in 2014.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Staind was unbelievable. The band sounded amazing. Aaron's voice gives you chills live. They played everything...They even played quite a few new songs which they totally killed on."

"Staind dug deeply into their classics to get the crowd going. Aaron Lewis was great and seemed to be having fun during an audience participation sequence. Staind played every song I wanted to hear plus more so I left very satisfied."

"I expected a top flight show from Staind and got it...they exceeded my expectations. They had a great mix of hard and soft music; all Staind."

    Waaaay too loud

by Kami on 4/29/24CFG Bank Arena - Baltimore

I’m gonna start this review by saying that I’ve been to hundreds of concerts in many different venues—including CFG. And this is the first concert where I to make earplugs because it was so loud. It was so loud I couldn’t even enjoy the music, nor could the musicians really show off their talent. I’m a regular metal concert goer—so high volume isn’t new to me. I welcome it. But this was like outdoor festival volume indoors. Completely ruined the show in my opinion. So many people had left by the time Staind showed up because it was so loud. Would’ve been a bangin concert too had it just been a couple notches less ear bleedingly loud.

    Great Concert

by Tracey West on 4/29/24FirstBank Amphitheater - Franklin

I would highly recommend seeing this show. Everything from the sound, lighting, and ALL the bands performances were worth the price of admission.

    Good overall

by Ollie on 4/29/24Prudential Center - Newark

Staind was too loud, did not sound right, otherwise would have given 5 stars instead of 3, Seether 5 stars, the rest 3 and 4

    Mediocre at best

by Staind Remover on 4/29/24CFG Bank Arena - Baltimore

Aaron Lewis first songs on his set were great. I very much disliked when he tried his newer vocals on the older songs. Ruined it for me. Been a Staind fan from the beginning. Stick with what you know and you’re golden. The rest of the band was on point.

    Aaron Lewis' sound was off

by tara on 4/29/24CFG Bank Arena - Baltimore

This was the 3rd time seeing Staind and by far the worst. The music sounded fine, but Aaron Lewis' voice sounded very off.

    Lots to be desired

by Meli on 4/29/24CFG Bank Arena - Baltimore

The marketing for this was deceiving. Thought I was buying tickets for the struts only to then know I bought tickets to 98 rock with a bunch of other bands. We arrived in time to see the struts, who were amazing, and should have been a headliner. Seether was terrible and we left before seeing staind bc it was so bad.

Artists were great; venue was blah

by Mike on 4/29/24CFG Bank Arena - Baltimore

Staind and Seether put on great performances, but the sound was flat. The space between rows at this venue was tight, too. At just under 6’0” tall, my knees were repeatedly touching the back of the seat in front of me. This was our first time here and I traveled from out of state to see the show. I wouldn’t pay to see anyone else here unless I knew the sound system had been upgraded.

    Headliners off key!

by DaveM on 4/29/24CFG Bank Arena - Baltimore

I bought tickets because I wanted to see Seether, and I was disappointed. Dayseeker, however, did an amazing acoustic set and Ayron Jones was spirited and great. But the back up for Seether was way off key ruining the set for me. I'm not a huge fan of Staind and he just seemed to dial in his performance like he did at Jiffy Lube arena last summer. As for the venue, floor seating was a disappointment as I couldn't see the stage. I had a better view in the stands for Disturbed a couple weeks ago. I won't pay extra for floor seats at this venue again.

    A great show

by Charlene on 4/29/24CFG Bank Arena - Baltimore

It was a great show and the bands for opening acts were definitely a good choice not just background fillers until the headliner comes on I definitely went and checked out their music

    Goot Time

by Tony on 4/29/24CFG Bank Arena - Baltimore

It was a great show, we had a good time. Only critique would be our seats were too close to the row in front of us in section 114 row O, literally only 4 inches between our seat and the back of the seat in front of us.

    Another wonderful memory!

by Shellcapri on 4/29/24CFG Bank Arena - Baltimore

Added another great memory to the long list of wonderful moments! Enjoyed the VIP lounge and all the awesome bands that performed acoustic, from Ayron Jones, to Tim Montana, and The Struts! Enjoyed the opportunity to get up close with the guys from Staind, who were all so gracious, and signed our posters! The CFG arena is an awesome venue and the staff is top-notch! The friendliest and most helpful folks around! Seether and Staind (the headliner) kicked ass. All the bands were phenomenal!
