ST. VINCENT IN CONCERT:
Possessing a rare combination of art-school appeal and mainstream accessibility, St. Vincent's Annie Clark is well on her way to full blown pop stardom. From her collaborations with David Byrne and Sufjan Stevens to her acclaimed work as St. Vincent, Clark has demonstrated an unbridled creativity and commitment to pop experimentation, making her a favorite with fans and critics alike. Her recordings may be stunning, but it's her talents as a performer that really make Clark stand out — taking the stage in an architectural gown, Clark's otherworldly movements and ethereal vocals are the stuff of legend, making her 2014 tour dates a must for any fan of true avant-pop spectacle.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Oklahoma, Annie Clark, a.k.a. St. Vincent, took up the guitar at age 12, going on to play in her high school's jazz band as a teenager. After spending three years at Boston's Berklee College of Music in the early '00s, Clark dropped out to pursue real-world musical experience, joining the Polyphonic Spree for their European tour. In 2006, she left the band to join Sufjan Steven's touring band, beginning to record as St. Vincent the same year. Her 2007 debut album Marry Me received praise for its intricate arrangements and unexpected compositional twists, paving the way for the success of 2009 sophomore effort Actor, a Top 10 hit on Billboard's Independent Albums Chart. With the early-2014 release of her fifth album, Clark once again drew unilateral praise from critics, cracking the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 and embarking on an international headlining tour.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
" Even better live than on her albums, St. Vincent lit up the Fox. It was an awesome mashup reminiscent of Bowie, Mercury and Gaga. I loved it, and will be back for more."
"Gorgeous songs, surprising choreography, enchanted excitement. I urge anyone who loves sophisticated pop to see this show."
"Yes, yes, yes, and yes! Great playing, awesome sound, killer production aesthetics and an overall great SHOW. St. Vincent and her band are kicking butt and taking names."

This was my second outdoor concert and it was amazing! Annie aka St. Vincent is a stellar guitar player. Her new album Daddy's Home was what got me interested in her music. Many of the songs she perdormed were from the new album, which I loved! She also sang her classic singles. The stage props went along with the theme and her background vocalists were also great!
Everything about this show was phenomenal. The set design, the light show, the way the set design interacted with the light show, the music. Not hard to believe, Annie Clark is a true genius.
WOW...what an amazing show! The sound was incredible. St Vincent always surprises me with her performances. This is a highly recommended show! The sound was incredible and her energy was on fire!
Loved this show! It was a well organized event in a beautiful space. The bands started on time and sounded great. Parking was easy and efficient. Staff was nice and very helpful.
St Vincent conducted an outstanding show. Everything was melded together so well, from the lights, outfits, vibes, sound. This was a very unique experience as Annie decomposed all her other songs to fit her current theme of 70s psych rock. Truly one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen
Great show! She is amazing! Spoon was good but for my money went a little long. Glad that proof of vaccination was mandatory. Always love the Greek!
It was scary being around so many people, whether they were vaxed or not. The drink lines were smooth and FAST. THE BATHROOM LINES WERE AMOOTH AND FAST. And the music was good too! Only issue was parking.
St. Vincent only exceeds expectations. Can’t wait to see her again!
I love Spoon so my guess was that the openning band was going to be better that St Vincent. I was WRONG WRONG. This was one of the best concerts of my life. What she does is just amazing. She is a genius and an extremeley talented musician. The stage, his band, the way she treats her fans first class big time.
We had balcony GA seats and rented a private spot on the rail. They took great care of us! St. Vincent put on a great show!
A beautiful performance, energetic and moving. The new ICON Stage in Cincinnati was perfect for her show.
There really are not enough words to describe the quality of this show. St Vincent is hands down one of the best artists to go see live and while I missed her previous tours and cannot compare, I can still say definitively that this album is a front to back listen and the show is THE definition of bringing an album to life of stage! Please please please do yourself a favor and get out to see her and The Down and Out Downtown Band! My nickname is my insta for photos and coming soon video clips if my words are not enough. Would follow the entire tour given the time and money.
St. Vincent is one of the greatest performers anywhere and of any time. Fantastic guitarist, incredible singer and gives everything to her performance. It will be remembered as one of my greatest concert memories, on a par with Jimi Hendrix at his peak.
My first time at the ICON center and I really liked the lay out. We had tickets in the lower balcony, section 107. My only complaint with that is that on the ICON website you can see the section, but they do not designate the rows or chairs. For that you are directed to the Ticketmaster website. It seems that the venue website should have that information on their site. The show itself was great. St. Vincent had a fantastic backing band with three back up singers along with four piece band accompanying her. She is a innovative guitar player and her use of creating a different persona, look and feel, for her tours makes each time seeing her unique. I would definitely see another show at the ICON and I will always try and catch St. Vincent when she tours.
It was amazing I saw St Vincent in Louisville in 2018 with my daughters and I thought it was Bowie reincarnate and could not be topped but this show rocked and brought me back to the 70’s With as always great guitar work and awesome stage presence Wow !!! It’s so sad that mainstream radio doesn’t get it! Nice touch with Ally McClusky! My wife and I are still in awe over the show!
It was a great show. Thompson's Point is a wonderful venue, and the evening was a nice one. St. Vincent was AMAZING. Her set list, the arrangements, the stage show itself all came together to make a Friday night an experience to remember. If she plays near you, go see her.
I will forever be a fan! This show just blew my mind and my 5 friends that attended. Amazing show!!!
Awesome Show!! Even the new venue is a perfect place!
Simply, I loved the show and I loved the venue. Annies' music is brilliant and it moves me!
