About

ST. VINCENT IN CONCERT:

Possessing a rare combination of art-school appeal and mainstream accessibility, St. Vincent's Annie Clark is well on her way to full blown pop stardom. From her collaborations with David Byrne and Sufjan Stevens to her acclaimed work as St. Vincent, Clark has demonstrated an unbridled creativity and commitment to pop experimentation, making her a favorite with fans and critics alike. Her recordings may be stunning, but it's her talents as a performer that really make Clark stand out — taking the stage in an architectural gown, Clark's otherworldly movements and ethereal vocals are the stuff of legend, making her 2014 tour dates a must for any fan of true avant-pop spectacle.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in Oklahoma, Annie Clark, a.k.a. St. Vincent, took up the guitar at age 12, going on to play in her high school's jazz band as a teenager. After spending three years at Boston's Berklee College of Music in the early '00s, Clark dropped out to pursue real-world musical experience, joining the Polyphonic Spree for their European tour. In 2006, she left the band to join Sufjan Steven's touring band, beginning to record as St. Vincent the same year. Her 2007 debut album  Marry Me received praise for its intricate arrangements and unexpected compositional twists, paving the way for the success of 2009 sophomore effort Actor, a Top 10 hit on Billboard's Independent Albums Chart. With the early-2014 release of her fifth album, Clark once again drew unilateral praise from critics, cracking the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 and embarking on an international headlining tour.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

" Even better live than on her albums, St. Vincent lit up the Fox. It was an awesome mashup reminiscent of Bowie, Mercury and Gaga. I loved it, and will be back for more."

"Gorgeous songs, surprising choreography, enchanted excitement. I urge anyone who loves sophisticated pop to see this show."

"Yes, yes, yes, and yes! Great playing, awesome sound, killer production aesthetics and an overall great SHOW. St. Vincent and her band are kicking butt and taking names."

The performance was amazing. The venue and seats couldve been better. The seats aren't at an incline so everyone in front of you obstructs your view of the stage. Aside from that the show was great.

  • The concert of my life

by ZosoGl on 4/14/25Tabernacle - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

I arrived at the Tabernacle four hours before the doors opened, so I was in the front row. I had already seen their show in Basel in October, but the reserved Swiss didn't go, so the fans in Atlanta were a guarantee for an uncredible great show. While „NewYorkNewYork“ she made her crowdsurfing - directly in my arms. I couldn‘t believe it, tears run down my face, totally overwhelmed. I return to Germany with the best memory for a rockconcert e v e r !

  • Phenomenal!

by Myers on 4/14/25Tabernacle - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

St. Vincent put on such a phenomenal show! It was my first time seeing her, and will not be my last. She had a live band and some lights - no screens, no props - so the concert was based on her live vocals, and they were incredible and the band all seemed to have such a great time performing with her! She opened with her song Reckless, closing the set with Candy Darling. Even played her own Music Man guitars for the majority of the show. She crowd surfed not once but twice during the performance of New York which was super cool to get that close to her (even being really close on the floor to begin with)! Opening act Wallice was also extremely fun and gained a new fan after the concert this past Friday night!

  • Kinda A Bummer

by AMS on 4/14/25Tabernacle - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

As far as I could surmise, St. Vincent put on a good show, but we couldn't see it. Despite tracking down a Preorder code and purchasing Row A seats the moment the presale went live, my wife and I arrived at the venue to discover that we'd been relocated to the back row because of a - somehow unanticipated? - spotlight installation blocking our original seats. We went from having a completely clear view to not really being able to see at all. Definitely not what we were expecting or hoping for out of the evening. The staff at the Tabernacle were very nice about it, and obviously it's not what anyone would consider a REAL problem at anything but the smallest of scales, but it's still a bummer to drive six hours and end up with a compromised experience.

  • St vincent

by Smithsfan on 4/14/25Tabernacle - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

I thought the concert was awesome except the vocals were overpowered by the band.

  • Top notch performance

by Lulah on 4/14/25Orpheum Theater - New OrleansRating: 5 out of 5

Sr. Vincent is a performance artist who has surrounded herself with incredibly capable talent from her musicians to her tech crew. From her intimate presence to sound and lighting to climate control this show delivered on every level.

  • A beautiful evening with St. Vincent at WOMH on the lawn

by JoeP - WorldsGreatestMusicFan on 4/11/25White Oak Music Hall Lawn - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

I had been wanting to see Annie Clark / St. Vincent for at least five years and was thrilled when the show was scheduled for White Oak Music Hall on the lawn in April as a full headliner set, not an abbreviated set on a festival bill. The weather was beautiful and the WOMH lawn with the sun going down behind the stage was a perfect setting. My oldest daughter came to the show with me which just made it a wonderful evening. I am SO fortunate! Annie and her band were absolutely fantastic! I was hoping she would play a lot of guitar and she did, primarily her signature black and white Ernie Ball Music Mans and she used a Theramin to add some tortured effects. Her singing ranged from ferocious to delicate. So impassioned, energized, and endearingly eccentric! What an incredible guitar player and performer! They played a broad selection from her catalogue including Broken Man, Digital Witness, Los Ageless, and New York where she came out into the crowd and took some selfies with peoples' phones. So nice! Loved her energy and smile! Sweet girl. 😍😍 Bonus that I am now one degree of separation away from Kristen Stewart 😁🤣 LOL! My only disappointment was that she did not play Slow Disco, my favorite St. Vincent song. We met Theresa from Corpus at the show and she was A+ sweet and friendly. Unbelievably generous too as she bought my daughter and I each a St. Vincent tee shirt! That was a first. Thank you again and praying you crushed your interview and got the job offer Love! I cannot wait to see Annie perform again live. I will be there for her and whatever assembly of super talented musicians she chooses to bring out - Awesome performance! 👍👍👍👍👍☮️❤️☮️🤘

  • Amazing Show! Blown away

  • Somewhat disappointed

by Wahoo on 4/10/25Moody Amphitheater - AustinRating: 3 out of 5

According to ticket show was supposed to start. Arrived in time to hear part of a song and their closing song. That was first disappointment. Second disappointment was more related to preference. I wished St Vincent would have played more guitar. She is amazing guitarist and her set only had a couple of songs that she let loose on her guitar.
