St. Louis Blues History

Named for the famous W.C. Handy song "Saint Louis Blues," the Blues is one of the most storied franchises in the NHL. They entered the league in 1967, making the Stanley Cup Final in each of their first three seasons. They reached the Playoffs in 25 consecutive seasons from 1980 to 2005, including in 1999-2000, when right wing Pavol Demitra and defensemen Al MacInnis led the way to a league-best 114 points, only to be upset by the San Jose Sharks in the first round of the Playoffs.

Recent history has provided its share of fireworks. Most memorable: Troy Brouwer's deciding goal in Game 7 of the 2016 Western Conference quarterfinals against the rival Blackhawks, which sent the Blues to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in 15 years.

In 2018-2019, the Blues went on an impressive Playoff run to meet the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup Final, where St. Louis won in seven games for the team's first Cup in franchise history.

The off season upgrades have added something for everybody of all ages. Great venue and I'll definitely be going back to a few more games.

  • Club Seats not worth the price

by BelindaClark on 10/9/18Enterprise Center - St LouisRating: 2 out of 5

My husband and I go at least a few times a year to watch our Blues play. We live 7 hours away, so we always splurge a bit and get the club seats! However, since the renovation, we bought our club seats not knowing that they no longer serve free food and drinks to the club seat ticket holders. The loaded value of $25 will get you one meal and maybe one beer. Major let down. Especially since we didn't know about the changes UNTIL we got to our seats.

Lots of fun, I’m really a Stars fan but was in town for my sons hockey tournament. Went to game with team. Chicago won in overtime with a hat trick by Towes! Pretty awesome!

  • Grudge Game!

Great hockey game between rivals! Maybe because it's the start of the season (??), but the food here wasn't good....overcooked sausage on a cold, hard bun (couldn't eat it after spending $9!). Decided popcorn was a safe bet, so ordered the free refill size of PLAIN popcorn (they don't even have salt!) in the special container (which was a regular paper cup!) and ate that instead. The employees weren't even aware of what was supposed to be served on our sausages and we had to ask them to put on the toppings that were described on the board. My advice---eat before you get there! Aside from that, facility is nice, ample restrooms, and it was clean. Other problem we had was that the parking pass we bought from Ticketmaster was very difficult to find. After we got home (this was a weekend getaway), I saw that info was sent on Saturday for parking. Maybe send it sooner?

I always love going to see the Blues. It seems the volume of the announcing was very very loud and should be turned down a bit. At the pregame rally, they moved it inside because of the weather. I had several friends who were on their way to the rally but did not have tickets to the game, after the outside rally was cancelled, before it started, they were not allowed to go inside because they did not have tickets to the game. The band inside was way too loud and the volume should be turned down. There is just a certain area for the happy hour and even at the furthest away from the band it was too loud to chat with friends. My seats are in the last row of the lower bowl, and the row is not wide at all. it was very difficult to get in and out if you needed to get something at the concession stand or use the restroom.

I am NOT a fan of only having one option to enter events via on your phone. I understand modern times and tickets are now going to be on your phone, however there are some people that maybe do not have cell phones or are not techno savy, my husband being one of those. What if your phone goes dead or something else happens to it during event? My husband smokes and between periods was not able to go outside as he normally did in the past. They need to bring back stamping your hand or something, while there he attempted to go outside as he did in the past, but had issues and no one at the gates could help him with my phone and it was very stressful. I also am NOT happy about the fact that I could not purchase 5 tickets in a row. At the time I purchased our tickets, the enitre row was empty, but it would only allow me to buy even number, yet across the isle same row i was able to buy one lone seat. How can that be?? With prices of tickets it's not an option to buy 6 just to get 5 tickets for my family and especially now that we are forced to use our phones and no longer have paper tickets available as an option. I think we need to come up with a happy medium. Think of those that maybe do not the capabilities as the younger generations do.

  • St. Louis Blues Opening Night

by EKLe on 10/8/18Enterprise Center - St LouisRating: 1 out of 5

I have never been more disappointed in the Enterprise Center and none of it was based on the outcome of the St. Louis Blues. The only positive about the night is that the electronic ticket met expectations. First question, is how do you run out of the free St. Louis Blues Calendar for opening night for paying customers? I have been attending the home opener for the last 5 years in the section that used to be called the Plaza Seats and now those sections have 2 different sides which I wasn't aware of since the cost of the seats seem to be the same price.. So if you sit Clark Avenue Club side of the arena you have access to that club and all inclusive seats vs our seats were located in American Eagle Credit Union Terrace and only receive the $25.00 credit. It would of been nice to advertise the differences and I would of purchased those Clark Avenue Club seats. Furthermore, it took 40 mins the time I sat down at my seats to receive any service from the servers, and when I did, our beverages were warm. So I had enough of our lady server and decide to go to Bud Light Sports Bar to order food and drinks during the first intermission and you could tell they had no clue what they were doing and took another 30 mins to get food and drinks. You expect a certain level of customer service and professionalism when you invest that type of money for an experience that was no different then purchasing regular tickets. Finally, how can you not have the private restrooms completed for the 1st game as well. They were still mudding the walls. Overall, I will never purchase those tickets even again and mostly likely won't purchase any tickets this year and enjoy the games from my home.

  • Changes to the Enterprise Center are awful!

    by Mookinator17 on 10/7/18Enterprise Center - St LouisRating: 1 out of 5

First off, I’ve been attending Blues games for the last 40 years. Let me just say the venue has a TON of kinks to work out before I’ll be back. The mobile ticketing requirement which should make things smoother didn’t. The whole process of getting in was far worse than it has been. The changes to the smoking policy are awful. Several people were not allowed in because they weren’t “scanned” out. The loaded ticket value is a travesty. All in all a horrible experience.

  • Venue was nice team needs some work

  • great NHL arena

    by Mykidsdad458 on 3/23/18Scottrade Center - St LouisRating: 4 out of 5

seats were good for the price, food options were alright. the only issue I had was that I wanted to buy a 50/50 ticket but didn't have any cash and none of the ladies selling them that I talked to could take cards they said that some of them could but after 6-8 tries I gave up. on a side note DO NOT STAY AT THE ST.LOUIS CITY CENTER HOTEL almost late to the game waiting almost 3 hours for a room booked and paid for months ago, never got a room and gave up and got a refund and had to find another hotel

  • Disappointed

    by Enjoythegam31980 on 2/26/18Scottrade Center - St LouisRating: 2 out of 5

Labeling these "club" seats is not a good idea. If you want to use this label, do a better job of setting expectations. We arrived two hours early but couldn't get to the club until after gate opened one hour early. By that time, all season ticket holders were already in the club. Nowhere to sit....or stand, all tables, bar seats, were taken we had to wait 45 mins just to share a standing table. After the game starts you can get a seat but, well, the game has started so you have to miss some. When we finally got a beer it was not cold. The food at the seats runs out, so don't wait for that....and $10 for a 10 oz cocktail?

Awesome game and great seats! Nothing better than a fight 3 seconds into the game. Food and liquor pricey...no diffent than any other sporting event!!! Would highly recommend sitting 111 rows off the ice...perfect view of the entire rink!

  • Great Glass Seats

by Striekers on 1/28/18Scottrade Center - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Purchase tickets for two handicap Brothers and myself. Their assistance with getting both to their seats and back to the car were unmeasurable. The seats up against the glass were the best.
