St. Louis Blues History

Named for the famous W.C. Handy song "Saint Louis Blues," the Blues is one of the most storied franchises in the NHL. They entered the league in 1967, making the Stanley Cup Final in each of their first three seasons. They reached the Playoffs in 25 consecutive seasons from 1980 to 2005, including in 1999-2000, when right wing Pavol Demitra and defensemen Al MacInnis led the way to a league-best 114 points, only to be upset by the San Jose Sharks in the first round of the Playoffs.

Recent history has provided its share of fireworks. Most memorable: Troy Brouwer's deciding goal in Game 7 of the 2016 Western Conference quarterfinals against the rival Blackhawks, which sent the Blues to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in 15 years.

In 2018-2019, the Blues went on an impressive Playoff run to meet the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup Final, where St. Louis won in seven games for the team's first Cup in franchise history.

  • ROUND 1

by jkgc on 4/20/14Scottrade Center - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

WOW what a game, now this was the best game I have ever been to. Emotions up and down referees calling everything against the Blues not call two obvious penalties against the Blackhawks in the third. The longest game i have ever been to the three of us stood the the entire two and 27 second of over times. There is no word the describe the feeling we all got when Steen made that winning goal the crowd erupted in such a loud roar it was hard to hear your self yelling. And yes we could not talk the next day.

I bought tickets here not knowing the seating chart in another state. I lucked out! Really close seats & not too much money. I was in Sec 123, Row L Seats 7, 8, 9. It's a really nice events center. Great game even though we lost. I would highly recommend purchasing tickets from here. I will defiantly order them again when in town.

  • Too bad the Blues lost

by RBKS on 4/17/14Scottrade Center - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

My husband, son, grand-daughter and I went to Scottrade Center to watch the St Louis Blues vs Detroit Red Wings. We love watching hockey at that arena. Looking forward to going back next season!

  • Very Disappointed

by HSPGC on 4/17/14Scottrade Center - St LouisRating: 1 out of 5

The tickets were the most expensive seats available and the Blues and Ticketmaster did not include on the ticket, the invoice or the ticket selection chart that they included the Blue Note Club. We had to find out from another fan after the game was 1/2 over. Then when we went to get the bracelet and I mentioned to the employee outside the Blue Note, he said he has heard that from other people too. for $400 a ticket the patrons should be well advised what is included.

  • Fan appreciation day was disappointing

    by bluesfan68 on 4/16/14Scottrade Center - St LouisRating: 3 out of 5

Although I enjoyed the game despite the fact that the Blues lost, I was extremely disappointed in the manner in which the fan appreciation day was conducted. We were told to stay in our seats until the end of the game because the players' jerseys were to be randomly given to the fans who remained in the stadium. Instead, as soon as the game ended, the jerseys were given to fans who must have been previously picked and brought down before the end of the game. That's fine, but if we knew that was the procedure, we would have left 10 minutes before to avoid the chaotic traffic.

The staff at Scottrade center were amazing. My son is afraid of escalators so we were able to take the V.I.P elevator and parking is also pretty good.
