St. Louis Blues History

Named for the famous W.C. Handy song "Saint Louis Blues," the Blues is one of the most storied franchises in the NHL. They entered the league in 1967, making the Stanley Cup Final in each of their first three seasons. They reached the Playoffs in 25 consecutive seasons from 1980 to 2005, including in 1999-2000, when right wing Pavol Demitra and defensemen Al MacInnis led the way to a league-best 114 points, only to be upset by the San Jose Sharks in the first round of the Playoffs.

Recent history has provided its share of fireworks. Most memorable: Troy Brouwer's deciding goal in Game 7 of the 2016 Western Conference quarterfinals against the rival Blackhawks, which sent the Blues to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in 15 years.

In 2018-2019, the Blues went on an impressive Playoff run to meet the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup Final, where St. Louis won in seven games for the team's first Cup in franchise history.

The 12-story glass and concrete structure officially opened its doors on October 8, 1994, and has been the home ice for the Blues ever since. In 2018, the venue underwent renovations, including additions to the food and beverage options, new gathering spaces for fans to enjoy during pregame, intermissions and postgame, and a better shopping experience for fans to take home all their new Blues gear. Enterprise Center is located on the former site of Kiel Auditorium, which was built in 1932 as a municipal auditorium for the citizens of St. Louis.

  • Blues VS Penguins

by Anonymous on 3/6/17Scottrade Center - St LouisRating: 2 out of 5

I purchased tickets to this game specifically because of the Mystery puck series. A few days before the game I find out they wont be doing them. There has yet to be any more information released on when they will do them. I believe that fans who had tickets to this game should still get the opportunity to purchase a signed puck.

Another fantastic time at a St. Louis Blues game! From the action on the ice to the fan inter-action, you can't beat the overall experience of a Blues game!

  • Scottrade Center Was Great

    by MRSA621 on 2/9/17Scottrade Center - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

As Penguins fans we were a little nervous about going to an event at another venue. However, we had a FABULOUS time in St. Louis. Our seats were great. We were able to visit the Blue Note Club for both food and drinks which were included in the ticket price. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. It was great. We are going to make this a yearly trip!

  • Crosby is the man!!

    by vizquel13 on 2/7/17Scottrade Center - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

I only get to see the Penguins at St. Louis once each season, so I was hoping for something special. Sidney Crosby delivered for the Penguins, scoring two goals and an assist to lead the Pens to a 4-1 victory.

Game was good. I wouldn't purchase seats for another give away. Entered the building @ 6:18 PM & jerseys where already gone. Was told to go to Atrium Gate by worker who was giving them out which still had many of jerseys. Works wouldn't give us any. Jerseys were gone by 6:23 PM. Not worth spend about $156.00 to not receive my 2 jerseys. Seen other Season Ticket holder who only owns 1 seat; & he had 4 jerseys because he knew coworkers. Plus your 2 in house PA people, Angela, & who the other guy with glasses is had their own giveaway jerseys on. Angela had it on when advertising the discount Blues t-shirt on sale that night , Taping was done before the game; she didn't have it on during the game. The guy with glasses did. I understand on 10,000 jerseys where given out, & I was in line @ 5:30 PM, scanned my tickets @ 6:18 PM. I would've thought I would receive my 2 jerseys. Vey disappointing.

  • THEY WON!

    by esn1311 on 2/5/17Scottrade Center - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

This was the game they retired long time Blues Bob Plager's jersey. I am old enough to have seen him play. We had season tickets in the early 70's! This was a wonderful tribute to a great person. We enjoyed the whole evening!

  • Glass Seats-Great Perspective of Game

    by Jerry13 on 2/4/17Scottrade Center - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

The glass seats with the buffet dinner before/during the game are a great view of the game. Friendly, personable dinner/beverage service with closeness to the play is a great combination.

  • Blues game on Family Pack

by Spgroth on 1/2/17Scottrade Center - St LouisRating: 4 out of 5

3rd year in a row that we have purchased Blues tickets over the holidays using the Family Pack. Ticket price included meal ( hot dog, sofa, popcorn). Great time at the game..... would have been better if the Blues actually showed up to play!

Love the ease of ordering tix from Ticketmaster on eve of event date. Reasonable special promotion ticket pricing is so very appreciated! A win in overtime was so very exciting. Can't wait to get back to see these boys again!

  • STL vs. MTL

by ProfessorMike on 12/9/16Scottrade Center - St LouisRating: 4 out of 5

This was a great game with no fights and just good clean (and hard) checks supported by great skating. I have three comments though. I was very disappointed to find out that Carey Price--the best goalie in the league--was not playing because he was "tired from the long road trip". We pay good money to see the "stars" and if they are not hurt, they should play. Second, the horn that sounds after a STL goal is ear-shattering. It could be half as loud and just as effective. You don't have to make your fans deaf. And finally, the "shovel crew" just drives me crazy. The game is constantly interrupted for media commercials and it hurts the flow of the game.

  • Blues v Jets

by BCParent on 12/6/16Scottrade Center - St LouisRating: 4 out of 5

Good environment for a game. Was able to get these tickets online and able to weight cost versus location in the rink. Received a hoodie upon entering the arena. This hoodie isn't heavy duty and doesn't feel like it will last long but it is great looking.

Awesome game. I wish I lived in town to get to more games. It was a loss in OT, but we still get one point. It's always worth going to see the Blues play, win or loss.

  • A great Blues game!!!

They won in a shootout. Definitely got my money's worth from this game.

  • Awesome game.

Awesome game with a 4-3 sudden death shoot out victory for the Blues against a conference rival.

  • Blues @ Scottrade

    by Inspector100 on 11/9/16Scottrade Center - St LouisRating: 4 out of 5

The arena has issues lead by age. The concourses are too small, there aren't enough men's rooms, the acoustics are terrible, the seats are old and beginning to show wear There is more use of the organ during the game over pre-recorded music. Too much use of the video board. Nice ceremony for a veteran and a current player. The team is in transition as they try to change the style of play. It will take a few changes in the high end part of the roster. Leadership is quiet and appears lacking. The media and team spokesmen tend to overrate some of the players. But watching them play can be frustrating. I would recommend friends to attend if they like hockey. The local crowd is a little passive. And some of the season tickets don't get used. More cheering for the fight than the game tying goal. The winning goal was well cheered.
