About

Squeeze, led by the songwriting duo of Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, produced some of the catchiest songs from the ‘70s British new wave scene. The band’s 1978 self-titled debut and follow-up albums Cool for Cats (1979) and Argybargy (1980) produced a number of hits in the U.K., with a few receiving airplay on U.S. college radio, including “Take Me I'm Yours,” “Up the Junction” and the bouncy “Pulling Mussels (From the Shell).” In 1981, Squeeze released their fourth studio album East Side Story, featuring “Tempted.” The song went on to become one of the band’s most famous songs. It has been featured in movies, TV shows, video games and commercials.

  • Drove up from Portland!

by Matt P on 8/18/24Marymoor Live - Presented By Toyota - RedmondRating: 5 out of 5

Boy George was so good and Marymoor was worth the drive from Portland. We paid for the meet and greet and he could not have been more friendly and cooperative. The venue was amazing. About 5K people, Great views, vendors, Bring your chair or blanket. Easy parking, great fans.

  • Squeeze was fantastic!

by emmie on 8/18/24Marymoor Live - Presented By Toyota - RedmondRating: 5 out of 5

Boy George, as the opening act, was interesting. His voice & band sounded good, but I wasn't familiar with his solo music and was expecting to hear some hits. When he finally played some Culture Club, the crowd came alive. Squeeze was stellar! They played all their popular songs and had some fun remixes of a few faves. I'd never seen them before and would love to go again--this band has withstood the test of time and sounded amazing!!

by DMAC on 8/18/24Marymoor Live - Presented By Toyota - RedmondRating: 5 out of 5

I enjoy the show. I hope the Squeeze will return for more concerts. They kept up the energy that Boy George ended on. I want to hear more music from London.

  • Boy George

by Attentive on 8/18/24Marymoor Live - Presented By Toyota - RedmondRating: 2 out of 5

Not impressed, but at least entertainung. Boy George sounded great. But DO NOT GO if you want to hear any of his hits. Only hit he played was Karma…. The only one. Sang one remake rendition of Do you really want to hurt me. But only played his non Culture Club stuff. Did play one other Culture Club Song but skipped everything else. Severely disappointing concert night. ABC, Howard Jones, Haircut 100 were a 1000000 times better the night before. They played old and new stuff unlike Boy George. Love that they all are still out there. It’s great for us 80’s kids.

  • Boy George = ICON

by J. De León on 8/18/24Marymoor Live - Presented By Toyota - RedmondRating: 5 out of 5

I went to this show for Boy George. He did not disappoint. Such an amazing performer. Truly connected with the audience. Voice of an angel. Incredible showmanship. Outfit changes did not disappoint. Band was outstanding!! Vibed together in the pocket the whole show. Back up singers had my jaw on the ground with their talent. Boy George what a beautiful soul and gift you are. I’m so grateful I had the chance to be front row (thanks to arriving early and planning accordingly, did not purchase VIP) and see your dazzling smile. Thank you for being unabashedly YOU!!

  • Always a fantasitc show

by Music lover on 3/4/24Rating: 5 out of 5

I have been a fan for a long time and am always so happy when they tour the East Coast. I try to see them at least once, and if I can, I will check out a different venue. Squeeze has the best fans, and there are many of us! Fun, talented, excellent audience engagement, and all around a good time. I have taken everyone I know to a Squeeze concert, and they loved the show. Truly talented musicians doing what they do best!!!!!

  • Rockin good time

    by MK77 on 10/31/23Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Squeeze had such high energy and I absolutely LOVED their show. They played all their hits with a full backup band. They were clearly having fun and so was I. My husband thought they did not sound like them - ex-squeeze me?? The sound was big but a live show is not supposed to be like the recording. Such a great show! Thank you Squeeze for making my dream come true. And you had the Furs open for you. The best choice EVER!

  • Squeeze was SMASHING, SUPERB & SPECTACULAR!

by Alex from the 80's on 10/9/23Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

This was the 3rd time I have seen Squeeze in concert but this time I was blessed to be in the 9th row at Chastain Park Ampitheatre. I was transported back to my happy memories of the 1980's and sang every single word to every single song! SIMPLY AMAZING!!!!

  • Exceptional

by MDG_Fan on 10/4/23DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - DurhamRating: 5 out of 5

Seeing SQUEEZE was a "bucket list"item, and it was worth it. They performed everything I wanted to hear, and they sounded GREAT.

  • Simply Excellent

by ComDocH on 10/1/23Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Squeeze war absolutely spectacular. They played an awesome hit-filled set. The song list was unadulterated joy. They sound was impeccably beautiful. And you know what? I can say the same thing about the opener: The Psychedelic Furs. They were tremendous as well.

  • A fun show!!

by Buck on 9/30/23Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 4 out of 5

I was really impressed. Tons of energy throughout every song and you could tell all the band members were truly enjoying themselves and having fun. Very talented musicians indeed!

  • The furs were excellent

  • Squeeze and psychedelic furs were awesom

by Jsk on 9/30/23Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Both bands did an exceptional set of fantastic music at an incredible pace. Just awesome. And the venue was fantastic. Couldn’t have been better.

  • Squeeze - Fantastic!

by Jmpm on 9/30/23Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5

The venue was great. It was our first time at the Theater and we were very pleased with it. Our seats were comfortable and we were able to see the stage just fine. Squeeze was amazing. They are so good, musically and rhythmically, and we were amazed, again. We have seen them, in concert, before, and were very happy to be able to enjoy their live music, once again.

  • Not what I expected

by Itchy on 9/30/23The Fillmore Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Loved a few squeeze songs in the day on the radio from years back. In concert last week at the Fillmore, even aged as we all are. They’re one I’d prefer to see in concert again. Great set list, theatrics from the band, and all together a fantastic show. And my wife never really heard the song “Annie Get Your Gun”. Now she can’t stop playing it.

  • Great Show!

    by Jea1517 on 9/29/23Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5

I was anticipating this concert for months and was not disappointed! Wonderful performances from both bands. Bravo!

  • More of the same, fantastic.

by Smacky Brat on 9/29/23Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5

We have seen Squeeze at least six times over the years and they continue to impress. The show was fantastic. The members of the band seem to be enjoying themselves as much as everyone in the audience. This collection of musicians is as good as it gets. I feel sorry for people that are unfamiliar with this band. They have no idea what they have been missing.

  • Squeeze DELIVERED!

    by CrudeJude68 on 9/29/23Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5

I have been a fan of Squeeze since junior high, and have always wanted to see them live, but never had the opportunity until now. This show totally exceeded my expectations! They sounded SO GREAT, I was honestly floored. I'm so glad I went!
