Squeeze, led by the songwriting duo of Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, produced some of the catchiest songs from the ‘70s British new wave scene. The band’s 1978 self-titled debut and follow-up albums Cool for Cats (1979) and Argybargy (1980) produced a number of hits in the U.K., with a few receiving airplay on U.S. college radio, including “Take Me I'm Yours,” “Up the Junction” and the bouncy “Pulling Mussels (From the Shell).” In 1981, Squeeze released their fourth studio album East Side Story, featuring “Tempted.” The song went on to become one of the band’s most famous songs. It has been featured in movies, TV shows, video games and commercials.

Amazing band what more needs to be said. Pier 17 an Amazing venue with a fantastic view!
Saw Squeeze in the late 80s and I have to say, they still sound exactly the same. It was an awesome show and a beautiful night on top of Pier 17.
I've now seen Squeeze three times and Glen Tilbrook solo once, and it's always a blast. This show had the special edge of being at Pier 17 in New York, a rooftop venue on the East River. So, we had magical views of Manhattan and Brooklyn as the backdrop for a wonderful musical performance.
Squeeze was amazing. If you closed your eyes, you could envision seeing or listening to them in the 80's. The show was great as was the Pier 17 venue. I wish there were more opportunities to sit, however. As we age, standing for 2+ hours is not easy on the back...
Squeeze still sounds awesome. They play all of their biggest hits. I highly recommend seeing a concert at Pier 17. Its a small, intimate space with views of the Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty!
Squeeze was fantastic. The venue is amazing. I would definitely see a show there again.
All around, one of the best bands out there. There songbook is incredible and they still have great voices and are so tight. I’ve seen them 2 years in a row and they do not disappoint!
Squeeze sounded great, was energetic — I danced all night and had a blast! The venue was perfect with an amazing view of the East River and the Brooklyn Bridge. There are also a couple of bars/restaurants downstairs to keep the party going before or after the show. I would definitely recommend seeing a show here!
Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, always the heart of Squeeze, are back touring with a full band and sounding as good as ever. Sprinkling in a few new songs along with the hits of the long career. It looked like they were having a great time dropping in on their past. The Pier 17 venue is stunning. Playing as the sun sets allows for wonderful views of Brooklyn, the bridge and surrounding area.
Squeeze sounded great & the venue was awesome! Drinks were a tad pricey but all in all it was a great time! Can’t wait to see another show at Pier 17 soon!
Squeeze proved their place in history / great 7 piece band in sublime form. Pier 17 was better than expected / great sound system and views. Quibble / no tap beer only can / canned wine selection was grim
I've seen Squeeze since the early '80s, and only in the last few years have they seemed to enjoy performing on stage. Venue was great, set was as well - couldn't have been much better - perhaps a third hour of songs?
2 great bands I had never seen before that dis not disappoint. A high end venue with reasonable ticket prices and the best view in the world!
The concert was amazing and Glenn Tilbrook has maintaned his voice after all these years! I felt like my 20 year old self!
As usual, an amazing performance by a GREAT band !!
I have been a fan of Squeeze forever. I'm so happy to have had the chance to finally see them in concert (I've been waiting 30 years for it). They put on an amazing show, one that I will never forget. Thank you Squeeze for not disappointing this girl.
I've been to see 1979-1980's group concerts this summer so far! Squeeze just moved into the first place spot. They played non-stop! Ever song was a flashback to my college days! Go see them if they are in your area!
One of my favorite bands. I love attending events at this venue.
Squeeze was awesome and nailed it this evening. Band was tight and Yolanda Charles’s bass playing was totally in the pocket. Great concert!
