About

Squeeze, led by the songwriting duo of Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, produced some of the catchiest songs from the ‘70s British new wave scene. The band’s 1978 self-titled debut and follow-up albums Cool for Cats (1979) and Argybargy (1980) produced a number of hits in the U.K., with a few receiving airplay on U.S. college radio, including “Take Me I'm Yours,” “Up the Junction” and the bouncy “Pulling Mussels (From the Shell).” In 1981, Squeeze released their fourth studio album East Side Story, featuring “Tempted.” The song went on to become one of the band’s most famous songs. It has been featured in movies, TV shows, video games and commercials.

  • hate to say anything critical

by luli1 on 9/15/23Boch Center Wang Theatre - BostonRating: 3 out of 5

I am a huge fan and have been since high school so I hate to say anything critical but the Boston show was very strange. The show was rushed, sped up, timing was off, they didn’t have time to stop and speak or catch their breath. I think the Pfurs went long putting Squeeze in a bad place with curfew maybe? That being said they are so talented and fun and the show was still excellent. Steve Smith is the one man party in the percussions and is so talented. Overall excellent just not the best I’ve seen them.

  • Squeeze / PFurs at the Boch Center (Wang)

by IamFarmer81 on 9/15/23Boch Center Wang Theatre - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

First off, the Boch / Wang Center is a place where you feel good simply being there. It is a Sistine Chapelesq beautiful faculty. The Psychedelic Furs opened and they sounded terrific. The voice of the band, Richard Butler, was as good and unique and ever. Their set certainly had the audience up and ready. Squeeze simply slayed the entire night. Dressed to the nines and colorful, they played hit after hit and had the place on their feet all night (not as easy as you think with the crowd being “older). It was a great nite of music spent at a beautiful place that use to be called the Music Hall. Well named

  • Pop goes rock and roll. And then some!

by Eddie on 9/15/23Boch Center Wang Theatre - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

New Wave pop band SQUEEZE came to play! Following the PSYCHEDELIC FURS can't be easy, but SQUEEZE did an admirable job. Glen Tilbrook had the Wang Center stomping. And I met my ex wife's 30 year younger doppelganger! Wow.

  • Great Show!

by Jack D on 9/15/23Boch Center Wang Theatre - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Exceeded my expectations! Loved the two drum sets.

  • Awesome stage and sound at Radio City Music Hall.

by SonnyCP on 9/15/23Radio City Music Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The Band loved performing and danced across the stage with the most genuine synchronicity of playing music and songs with dramatic broadway acted renditions for a full show that was as sweet sounding as any sound system could match if they were the best but live music expression is the zenith of attending the concert in person and thrilling beyond compare. What can I say there was no one seated in front of me, andI got sung to and rock and roll guitar dazzled to euphoric ecstasy.

  • Holy Squezze!

by DW on 9/14/23Stone Pony Summer Stage - Asbury ParkRating: 5 out of 5

Wow! They were great! Listened to them a lot in the 80s but never got to see them. Wish I had and glad I go to see them! They were REALLY good!

  • Great time at Squeeze!!!

by Rangermoed on 9/14/23Stone Pony Summer Stage - Asbury ParkRating: 4 out of 5

Squeeze sounded great! Stone Pony Summer Stage was an okay venue. Easy to get to the bars.

  • Great Show!!

by BBB on 9/14/23Radio City Music Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Attended the show because love Radio City as a venue and always enjoyed Squeeze / Psychedelic Furs music. Would not say before the show I was a big fan of either band. Well left the show loving both bands. The sound and energy was incredible. Still on high! If you have the opportunity I highly recommend seeing them

  • Squeeze stinks

by Pico pat on 9/13/23Stone Pony Summer Stage - Asbury ParkRating: 1 out of 5

My wife and I went to see the Furs who we thought had top billing. Our bad I guess. We arrived later thinking squeeze would be just about finished. Nope! It was the Furs. We heard 3 songs and the Furs left the stage, no encore. We left. We didn’t want to hear Black coffee in bed for an hour. Sorry. How the heck can you put Squeeze on the top bill? Just because they are from Philly? They have about a half hour of music; the Furs have so much material it takes 2.5 hours to play it all and it still leaves fans wanting more. Squeeze? No thanks. What a disaster after looking to park for a half hour, then paying $50 bucks, to leave a half hour later. You can have your black coffee in bed. Pppffftttt! Ps only reason I gave one star is because I had to choose

  • There are no words

by Joe De on 9/13/23Stone Pony Summer Stage - Asbury ParkRating: 5 out of 5

The true testament is to say a group is better in person than on their albums, which they were. It was an amazing concert. Both Squeeze and The Psychedelic Furs were great!!

  • Still great

by Prender on 9/13/23Stone Pony Summer Stage - Asbury ParkRating: 5 out of 5

Squeeze was awesome. They rocked it just like 30 years ago!!

  • Not enough Squeeze…

by Dion on 9/13/23Stone Pony Summer Stage - Asbury ParkRating: 3 out of 5

This venue was standing room only and we came to see the headliner ~ Squeeze. The opening band played for two hours or more. By the time Squeeze came on it was after 8pm and the concert started at 5:30. They only played an hour or so. Don’t get me wrong…Squeeze was fabulous!!!!! But we would have liked more Squeeze, less Psychedelic Furs. Rock & Roll on…..

  • Squeeze was HOT!! ❤️‍🔥

by Jeanie on 9/13/23Premier Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino - MashantucketRating: 5 out of 5

Fabulous show! Nearly all the favorites! Great musicianship. Damn the vocals are still great after all these years. Tight, tight band! Well worth the ticket. Had a blast.

  • A Must see Show!!

Outstanding show, the Psychedelic furs and Squeeze were on top of their game. A spectacular imaginable event

  • Squeeze/Furs Tour

by thelafster on 9/13/23Stone Pony Summer Stage - Asbury ParkRating: 5 out of 5

Summer Stage @ The Stone Pony did not disappoint when these two bands came to town. With both complementing each other’s music and style so well, it was the perfect billing for a great end of summer Jersey Shore evening. If they’re still out there together, do yourself a huge favor and don’t miss them!

  • Unbelievably Good

by Maryann on 9/13/23Stone Pony Summer Stage - Asbury ParkRating: 5 out of 5

We’re amazed that after all these years, they sounded so good. We had a great time.

  • Disappointed

by Flap on 9/13/23Radio City Music Hall - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5

Songs seemed rushed. Very little communication with the audience. Opening act was way too long.

  • Too short

by Squeezed on 9/13/23Radio City Music Hall - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5

This was my third time seeing Squeeze in the last 5 years and it was the worst of the three. They still sound great, but the show was way too short. The Psychedelic Furs went on first and played for 75 minutes. I was not expecting them to play that long and it was awful. Then Squeeze came on and they played for 75 minutes as well. I thought they would at least play for longer than the opener. The other times I saw them they played for at least 90 minutes. The show ended by 10:30 so they could have played for longer. If I had known this was the way the show was split up I would not have wasted the money.

  • Squeeze at Foxwoods

by Luna on 9/13/23Premier Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino - MashantucketRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing as always! Wish they would play album cuts along with their hits.

  • Awesome!

by Matt on 9/13/23Premier Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino - MashantucketRating: 5 out of 5

Squeeze was great, but The Psychedelic Furs really stole the show! We are so lucky that these 80s Bands are still kickin’ it!!
