    Meh artists

by deedee1412 on 8/13/14Loggers Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields - Squamish

For the price of one day admission it really wasn't worth the lacklustre artists (Eminem was great though), the sloppiness of the festival grounds lay out, the dirtiness of the grounds (seriously where the hell were the trash cans?),

    Great Day

by luxivy on 8/13/14Loggers Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields - Squamish

We spent the day at this festival and it was good times all around. Positive vibe, great music & organization. They only downside is they sold out of the good stuff on day 1 or 2 and didnot have any merchandise to replace. Also 48$ to park over a half hour walk away? Not good. I would go again.

Best time I have ever had!!

by Anonymous on 8/12/14Loggers Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields - Squamish

The Squamish valley music festival was amazing! All the artists sounded great. If anyone has a chance to see arcade fire, do so. You won't be disappointed. At the event it felt very organized and safe. There was a huge police presence given the controversy and about music festivals and drug overdoses the last few weeks. But overall, it was super fun and I would definitely go back next year!

    Overpriced, and understaffed

by atleasttherewasarcadefire on 8/12/14Loggers Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields - Squamish

The most expensive single day pass at a festival I've ever splurged for...so I guess I expected more. $50 shuttle, small cans of Molson Canadian for $7 (??) and food add up quickly. Beer gardens when laws no longer require them. Too few staff and outhouses made for a day full of waiting in line and missing the music. The music acts were amazing. Tokyo Police club, arcade fire, and broken bells were the saving grace of my Saturday pass. But I would have thought this was the fesitval's first year, the way it was organized. I won't be going back.

Festival was Meh, Arcade Fire was HAWT!

by eldude20 on 8/12/14Loggers Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields - Squamish

Squamish was a beautiful setting for this event! The festival itself had light crowds which led to my sense of feeling underwhelmed by most of the acts. Arcade Fire felt off in their tempo but was still the best act on the night. Roots played all the hits! There was plenty of food and as festivals go it was priced to move. I enjoyed that bit. The part of about the festival being completely cashless was wrong. I saw plenty of places that took cash. Was a little dissappointed to find out the kids zone was non existant and the best anyone working the festival could manage to guess was that there was too much wind for the jumpers. Still if the line ups next year are the same or better, I'll probably be back! The venue more than made up for any shortcomings...

it sucked getting anywhere inside and out

by roadtripLiker on 8/11/14Loggers Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields - Squamish

The camping, shuttles and transportation were a disaster. I've never spent this much time waiting and hitchiking at a festival. There are fences everywhere and you cant hear the stages from anywhere, so its very hard to just check out what's going on. It takes a lot of time to go between stages, so you have to be determined to see a set of bands before you even walk in. Every volunteer that i interacted with was less knowledgable than the last. It's really clear they weren't trained at all. The lineup was very top-heavy and left me not feeling excited. I feel like more effort could have been put into finding up and coming acts.

    Decent music, terrible lineups!

by Buglette on 8/11/14Loggers Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields - Squamish

If you like camping in a gravel pit, waiting in hour + line ups for cold showers, food, alcohol, and getting anywhere on a shuffle bus, then this event is for you! Camping parking was miles away and shuttles were few and far btw to take back and forth. Overall good time with friends but a very expensive weekend for what you pay for.

I only ended up seeing Walk Off the Earth, Foster the People and half of Bruno Mars' set. However, I considered it well worth the price. Seeing Foster the People in a festival setting was absolutely mind-blowing.

    Mack-le-e-e-e-e-more!

by engl07 on 8/17/13Loggers Sports Grounds - Squamish

This was a great venue and the lineup was incredible. Drinks were quite pricey as was parking, as expected, but other than that it was definitely worth the money. I got a one day pass for Friday as it had the best lineup, and the stages were well done and a lot of great vendors!

Fun having (with lots of lines)

by skigirl9257 on 8/15/13Loggers Sports Grounds - Squamish

The music was great which is why we were there. Another pluses: Enough space that you could see any act you wanted, lots of restrooms. The downside: you had to put money on an arm band to buy beer and they charged you a "nominal fee" (aka $2.50) every time you put money on the band. And you had to wait in a long line to add money to the band. Once it was my turn, they informed me that they could not swipe my Visa, they could only use the chip reader (which I don't have been from Washington). So they then wanted me to go wait in the ATM line, to wait in the line to add money, to wait in the line to buy beer. So many lines!

    gogol for suuuuuuuhhhhhhhherrrrrr

by chucknorbert on 8/13/13Loggers Sports Grounds - Squamish

I didnt know realy who band of horses were but the one song is in guy Mariano's part in lakai fully flaired. When that came on i was more stoked then any other moment. Longtime gogol fan and they were the best rockin band. Me and lots of people thought the beer was too pricey and the wrist band system was terrible. I had to pay to get money then pay to put money on my wrist and was in for 7 bucks before spending anything. I didnt like seeing that one really fat security guard majorly overreact and punch à kid in the face for nothing. Keep your dogs leashed. Food was amazing. Music was amazing. Would have liked some noon tunes. Something melow earlier.

    Squamish was awesome

by BMcCoyTx on 8/12/13Loggers Sports Grounds - Squamish

The festival itself was incredible!!! Good open venue and an amazing lineup. The biggest problem was the logistics to get your wristband and get to camping and parking the first night (Thurs). I heard from a lot of other concert goers that came up Friday that everything was smooth. So either they figured it out or there was just a lot less people trying to get setup. Regardless, the festival was a blast, they had free water stations and plenty of restrooms and awesome food trucks.

    great festival

by Thong on 8/12/13Loggers Sports Grounds - Squamish

The festival setup was great. Venues weren't too far apart from each other. I was able to see all the artists that I wanted to see.
