The Springfield Cardinals are a Minor League Baseball team that plays in the Texas League's North Division and is based in Springfield, Missouri. The team's colors are Cardinal red, midnight navy blue, yellow and white. The team is owned by the St. Louis Cardinals, the Major League Baseball team, and has been their Double-A affiliate since their inception in 2005.

The Springfield Cardinals play their home games at Hammons Field, which is located in Springfield, Missouri. The stadium has a seating capacity of 7,986, with an additional 2,500 general admission spots. Hammons Field is named after John Q. Hammons, a businessman and philanthropist who was instrumental in bringing the team to Springfield. The stadium is also notable for its unique design, which features a double-decker seating arrangement and a large outfield berm.

The Springfield Cardinals have a rich history of success. Since their inception, the team has won three Texas League North First Half Division titles, two Texas League North Second-Half Division titles, two Texas League North division championships, and one Texas League championship in 2012. Many former Springfield Cardinals have gone on to make their major league debut with the St. Louis Cardinals, including Kolten Wong, Trevor Rosenthal, and Oscar Taveras.

Springfield, Missouri, has hosted professional baseball teams since 1905, when the Springfield Highlanders began play. In 1931, the St. Louis Cardinals purchased a minor league team, renamed it the Cardinals, and relocated it to Springfield. With a front office led by future Hall of Famer Branch Rickey, Springfield won several Western Association titles and league championships in the 1930s and 1940s. After a brief hiatus, the current Springfield Cardinals were established in 2005, and have since become a beloved part of the Springfield community.
