I have been a lifelong fan of David Bowie (through all of his incarnations), and was sadden (as everyone was) at his passing. Having seen him in concert 5 times (and once on Broadway as The Elephant Man), it was then end of an era for me.
Or so I thought, until I came across the David Brighton tribute show on Ticketmaster! I decided to go with my wife (not a fan of Bowie, but hold that thought) - so off we went to the Valley Forge Casino last Saturday. In short, the entire experience was amazing. Had I not known it was a tribute band, I would have sworn David had faked his death and was on tour once again! He had the look, the sound, the band, the mannerisms - all down pat. I was floored and amazed. He made this show a replay of all of the best hits of Bowie, taking us through all the years of his amazing career.
Even my wife loved the show, and again she was never a fan. She came away truly impressed by Bowies' catalog of songs and how amazing David Brighton was able to capture the essence of him.
I will keep my eyes peeled for whenever this show passes by again - I will be there!
