  • David Brighton's Bowie tribute

by Wayne on 2/5/20Valley Forge Casino Resort - King of PrussiaRating: 3 out of 5

The band was great and the vocals sounded like Bowie. The venue was small and personal. But unfortunately the sound was not up to par. High frequency was non existent and everything sounded muffled, muddled, and dull. At some points I could barely hear the vocals. I heard several people make the same comment so I know it wasn't only me. Light show was minimal and could have used a little more flare. For a small investment in some laser lighting, stage effects, and a better sound system, or at least the addition of some high frequency speakers, this show would have been MUCH better. A great band with mediocre sound system will always be just a mediocre band. Too bad, much potential here.

  • Venue at the Valley

by Casz on 2/5/20Valley Forge Casino Resort - King of PrussiaRating: 4 out of 5

Started out with problems getting a reservation (not the fault of the Casino) . Once there hung out pre -Concert, at the Tavern . Not knowing what to expect, was surprised at a Tribute Band and how good they were, total professionals, got to meet the members after the show , great people who were grateful for the support . David does a spot on job of capturing the feel and excitement of a Bowie Concert .

Love this venue!! It’s small, my seat are the only sits I would want every time I go there!! Prefect no one in front & only 1 behind !!! Thanks!!

  • Wonderful time...you need to see this show!

by Michele on 2/4/20Valley Forge Casino Resort - King of PrussiaRating: 5 out of 5

I was so happy to see this show. David Brighton has Bowie’s moves down! He & the band sounded great. Loved it! Definitely recommend this show. Would definitely see again when they are back this way. We saw the show at Valley Forge Casino in Pennsylvania. Come back soon!!!

  • great music poor venue

by Rick on 2/4/20Valley Forge Casino Resort - King of PrussiaRating: 4 out of 5

Love David Bright and his band. If you love Bowie's music, this is a great show. David transformed himself a few times during the show to match the music and decade of Bowie's best songs. Loved their performance of "under pressure" and "heroes". The venue at the VF casino had problems labelling the seats, and the seats in each of the two levels were not stadium seating. So you had a body directly in front of your view if you were not in the first row. Otherwise, a terrific show!

  • Great show, venue was lacking

by Tommy on 2/4/20Valley Forge Casino Resort - King of PrussiaRating: 3 out of 5

The show was amazing. Yet the tickets we were sold, did not exist when we arrived at the venue. Not one person in the venue could explain why the seating was not correct. There was well over a dozen people that had the same issue.

  • So much fun. great to hear thise classic songs sung live.

by Hi larious on 2/4/20Valley Forge Casino Resort - King of PrussiaRating: 5 out of 5

Singer had Bowie's mannerisms down. Sound at venue was weak and would have been better if had dedicated dance space but band was good. Great set list!

  • Great Great Experience

by Bob A. on 8/17/19OC Fair & Event Center - Costa MesaRating: 4 out of 5

David Brighton and his group puts on a show that's so spot on in both music and performance. The musicianship is outstanding and Brighton's ability to capture The essence of what it was like to have attended a Bowie concert is absolutely the best ever!

  • Space Oddity-OUT OF THIS WORLD

by Native John on 8/13/19OC Fair & Event Center - Costa MesaRating: 4 out of 5

Fantastic treat seeing Diamond Dogs album performed in its entirety PLUS a couple of handfuls of other hits!!! Jean Genie, Fame, Ziggy, Suffragette, Modern Love, Lets Dance, Heroes, Under Pressure!!! David and company sounded great, had excellent energy and synergy, and were a wonderful tribute to the man himself. The crowd was all ages and all loving to dance and groove the night away!!! I look forward to experiencing DB and Co again in the near future!!! Truly a must see!!!

  • Another fine show

by Krondo on 8/12/19OC Fair & Event Center - Costa MesaRating: 4 out of 5

We've seen this band several times and they always do a great show. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the lead vocal was a little muted at the beginning. If you're a Bowie fan this is as close as you can get to the real thing.

  • Always a Great Show

by Dave G. on 8/12/19OC Fair & Event Center - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5

I became aware of David Brighton and Space Oddity from an appearance on an AXS TV show about tribute bands. They were certainly the best of the bunch and being an old Bowie fan I sought them out to see a live show. Space Oddity did not disappoint. David Brighton is a real pro and the entire band is super talented. They are each great players and singers. One of the two guitarists even duets on Bowie & Freddie Mercury's "Under Pressure" and he's amazing. Ms. Brooke, the keyboard player, fills in all the horn parts on her synthesizers and she's a great singer too. David Brighton's voice is not quite as dynamic as Bowie's, but his technique is very, very good. And he certainly looks the part in his beautiful costumes and wigs. I've seen SO a half-dozen times now and I always drag along some friends. I tell them you might not close your eyes and be fooled into thinking that you're actually at a Bowie concert, but this is the next best thing. And besides, SO are gonna play you two hours of Bowie hits - not 20 minutes of hits, then the entire new album, then another ten minutes of hits, and then the extended encores. I love these guys (and gal) and will see them whenever they visit SoCal.

The venue is not for a concert. For a small venue not impressed.

  • Loved the band, seats were great but ....

by Bernirose on 2/12/19Valley Forge Casino Resort - King of PrussiaRating: 5 out of 5

Everything was great, band was fabulous but the sound had a lot to be desired. When he talked into the mike you could not understand what he was saying, it was all very muffled, at least from out seats. I would absolutely go to see this David Bowie tribute band again and encourage my friends to also go.

  • Truly a Tribute

by Onlyonebeth on 2/12/19Valley Forge Casino Resort - King of PrussiaRating: 5 out of 5

We loved the show! So well done. The use of video clips in between sets to help tell David Bowie’s musical story by other music icons worked beautifully to weave the importance and rarity of the very talented David Bowie. David Brighton and his band really gives a fantastic performance. I think David Bowie would be proud!

by Buddy on 2/12/19Valley Forge Casino Resort - King of PrussiaRating: 5 out of 5

The Bowie experience was very well done, very energetic. His mike volume could have been a little more pronounced. Played everything I wanted to hear. The band was dead on tune and energy. Thanks..

  • David Bowie Lives.

by KenRun on 2/12/19Valley Forge Casino Resort - King of PrussiaRating: 5 out of 5

I have been a lifelong fan of David Bowie (through all of his incarnations), and was sadden (as everyone was) at his passing. Having seen him in concert 5 times (and once on Broadway as The Elephant Man), it was then end of an era for me. Or so I thought, until I came across the David Brighton tribute show on Ticketmaster! I decided to go with my wife (not a fan of Bowie, but hold that thought) - so off we went to the Valley Forge Casino last Saturday. In short, the entire experience was amazing. Had I not known it was a tribute band, I would have sworn David had faked his death and was on tour once again! He had the look, the sound, the band, the mannerisms - all down pat. I was floored and amazed. He made this show a replay of all of the best hits of Bowie, taking us through all the years of his amazing career. Even my wife loved the show, and again she was never a fan. She came away truly impressed by Bowies' catalog of songs and how amazing David Brighton was able to capture the essence of him. I will keep my eyes peeled for whenever this show passes by again - I will be there!
