    Really good experience

by El Príncipe on 4/22/24Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

I love to visit The Parker. I'm an artist to and really appreciate the organization, acoustic and the facilities of the theatre. Also I'm glad to find parking space with the help of the staff.

    Absolutely Wonderful

by David Francis on 4/20/24Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

We just love going to the Symphony. It is always a fantastic experience. I do have one complaint that I must state. The performance was amazing as usual. However, The couple that was sitting behind us felt is was completely accessible to bring a infant and a toddler to the performance. This is just not the place for a crying baby and a toddler that is not well behaved. But what was worse, were the parents that thought it was fine to continually "shush"the children. They parents were more disruptive than the children. I know we want to expose our kids to the finer things. But use some common sense. If your baby is coughing and sneezing and you keep talking to them throughout the entire performance, next time please stay home.

    Great regional Symphony Orchestra

by Snow Bird on 4/20/24Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

The SFSO keeps getting better and better. Recent crowd pleasing programs were delightful. I recently purchased the last ticket to a sold out performance at The Parker, a wonderful venue. Performance was exquisite.

    Half & half

by Jand on 3/31/24Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

The clarinet concerto by Ellen Zwilich idid nothing for me. First off it was ear piercing! Perhaps because of this or perhaps on its own merits, I personally did not enjoy it at all. The second half of the entire program was excellent making the whole performance a partial disappointment. Can you just stick to the old beloved master composers?

    Brilliant

by David Francis on 3/30/24Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

I have no idea why I waited so long to attend the South Florida Symphony. They were absolutely brilliant. We all left completely invigorated. Such an amazing performance. I see season tickets in my future. Run don't walk to attend a performance.

Great musicianship paired with a great venue!

by TerrysMusic on 3/13/24Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

The venue is dynamite. The orchestra is top notch. The singers were up to the task. The soloists put it all out there. The result is a concert of classical works that left no room for improvement. All the people involved with this performance deserve the highest accolades.

    Extraordinary evening!

by Ed on 3/8/24Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

Although not an operaphile, I was thankful the symphony chose familiar arias and grateful for the brief explanations of the scenes to maximize the experience for me. The sold out theater erupted enthusiastically at the conclusion of Beethoven’s 9th capping off a truly wonderful evening. Thank you South Florida Symphony!

    Great music, ride audience

by Cookie on 3/7/24Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

The chorus decorum is lacking Sopranos in the last row talking continuously, men mansplaning and leaning back in chairs and women in sleeveless dresses. Appearance is part of the experience.

    Symphonic Bliss

by Karen Cupid on 3/6/24Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

What a totally blissful evening with the South Florida Orchestra! The music of Beethoven was joyous and beautiful. The conductor is interesting to watch! Our seats in the center balcony were wonderful. We could see the entire program without a problem and the acoustics were "spot on."The ushers were very helpful but that parking deck needs some assistant s to get traffic in and out. That being said my husband and I enjoyed another beautiful evening of blissful music.

    SFS strikes gold!

by Kandy H. on 3/6/24Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

Sitting in the balcony, I missed most of the chit-chat from the soloists and the Maestro. However, I was there for the music, not the chit-chat. SFS didn't disappoint. Beethoven's Ninth left me breathless! Bravo! My only complaint about the evening was my seat. I sat in row E, center balcony. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO LEG ROOM! I'm six feet tall and had the sit sideways with my knees jammed under the rail. The night was dold out, so there was no chance of being relocated. MOST uncomfortable!! (but what did i expect for twenty dollars?) I'll remember this for next time!
