Soulja Boy on Tour
When Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em released his 2007 debut single, “Crank That (Soulja Boy),” the 17-year-old rapper became an instant hit - and something of a viral pioneer. With its booming bass, slick snaps and steelpan loop, the song began blowing up flip phones (remember ringtones?) and its music video inspired millions to learn the Soulja Boy dance. But he’s proven to be far more than a flash-in-the-pan internet sensation. The Grammy-nominated artist still brings that infectious energy to the stage. In his early years, he learned from the best, touring alongside some of the biggest rappers in the biz, including Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross and Drake. Even after a stint in jail and the transition back to being an independent artist - releasing material on his own record label, Stacks on Deck Entertainment (SODMG) - Soulja Boy continues to bring in the crowds with appearances at major hip-hop events including The Millennium Tour 2021.
About Soulja Boy
Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em has been magnetic from the start, creating one of the 21st century’s biggest rap hits and funnest dance fads at age 17. It’s not easy to eclipse such a massive debut hit at such a young age, but the Chicago-born rapper has gone on to show he has far more snappy moves up his sleeve. Born DeAndre Cortez Way in 1990, the future star bounced from Chicago to Atlanta to Batesville, Mississippi, where he began making music and posting songs online. Within a few months of recording “Crank That” and releasing his first album, the aptly titled Unsigned & Still Major: Da Album Before Da Album, Way signed to Interscope Records and saw his self-produced song fly up to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. His major label debut, 2007’s Souljaboytellem.com, came out just over six months after “Crank That” first hit the web. Soulja Boy was nominated for Best Rap Song, but had plenty to live up to after that rapid rise to the top. He came through with a number of successful singles, including “Kiss Me Thru the Phone,” and “Pretty Boy Swag.” But he’s made just as much a name for himself as a producer, actor, fashion designer, video game console creator and prolific mixtape maker. He’s still a powerful force on social media, too, racking up well over a billion YouTube views.

I love HotJam and my favorite part of it was seeing Drake come out of nowhere an preform that was incredible
THE CONCERT WAS GOOD.. SOULJA BOY WAS ABSOLUTLEY TERRIBLE, WHY WOULD HE GO LAST.WHERE THE F**K WAS KID CUDII?????? HES A FEATURED ARTIST AND HES NOT THERE... JERAMIH KILLED IT AS WELL AS FAB TRY SONGZ AND BOW WOW.. OVERALL IT WAS IIGHT
I brought my daughter and her friend to the concert. They seemed to have a great time - enjoying much of the show. However, considering my age and expectations, the show was OK. The best part of the show for me was Bow Wows performance. He is, in my opinion, a true performer. For much of the show the sound system was crappy or it over powered the performers. It seemed for the most part that many of them simply danced to their music, on stage. Soulja Boy's performance was good as well. While I am a fan of Day 26, their performance was disappointing - again - due to the loud music and poor sound system.
Hot Jam was alriqhtt .. they hadd a lot of tech difficulty's withh thee speakerss andd FAb wuszentt too happy boutt datt .... the worstt part mostly was how loud && annyoyinqq Day 26 was ; dontt gett me wronqq theyy couldd sinqq andd dancee butt theyy neededd too turn dey speakerss downn a lil ... kusz dey messed dhaa restt of thee showw up ! ii lovedd jeremih , bowwow, sexxy trey songs , fab, red cafe . there was so manyy mavado , serani !! ii hadd mad fun with thee hubbie , bro , andd sisterr !! iim lookinqq forwardd to qoinq next year && qettinqq better seatss .
like it was what i thought it was gonna be... i love special guess drake was a plus
i thought the whole concert was veryy good. day 26 and bow wow was my favorite performances and would love to see them again ! All the singers did a great job !
I thought that it was great. I just thought that one of the people who came out took way to long to just do their set and it went a half hour to long. overall I would recommend all who are hip-hop/R&B fans to make time to go to this show when it comes around next year and to make tie to go jingle jam if it happens this year. you won't be dissapointed
DAy 26 was drowned out by the music. Bow Wow and Soulja Boy didn't do enough. As for Bow Wow dissing Ciara, it's time for him to grown up and get over it. the diss was unnecessary.
I could not wait for Day26 to come out, i Mean they killed the stage its like a re-run in my mind. Also Trey songz is so adorable and when Drake came Overall everyone did their thangthizzle and loved hot 93.7 they always get the crowd moving. An d when jeremih sun g live owee he had the girls screaming.
Very disappointing that the headliner was cut off during his performance. One artist never made the stage & all the audio problems put a huge damper on the show. Day 26 was great, Drake was awesome, Trey Songs, jeremiah & Bow wow were amazing, but we only herad 1/2 of what soulja boy tel em was going to perform. With the money these tickets cost I expected more
Bow Wow put on a great performance and so did Trey Songz. I'd definitley go see them again!
All I have to say is Day 26 did the damn thing!!! I was very happy to see them, I went for the whole show but Day 26 did better then anyone there
i haven't been to one of these since hot jam 5... let me tell you... it was amazing. i really wanted to see DAY 26 and they did a great job. the whole show good too even though the sound equiment was going out in some performances but the artists keep their cool. can't wait for jingle jam..lol
My overall opinion of the concert is that it was a good show. I don't feel like I over paid for my tickets at all but I do think because of the number of acts they scheduled to perform, the performances were often sped up and lacked an audience connection. I can't blame it on the artists because several of the performers stated that they were being told they only had 5 minutes or 10 minutes left. I think they had enough quality artists on the schedule to carry the show without adding the few #1 hit wonders that they added. It is very true that quality is much more important than quantity in this case.
At least 10 more security guard should have been on duty. I purchased front row seat but could barely see because of the crowd rushing to the front during the preformance, especially when Sammy and Souja Boy performed. The crowd was out of control and someone could have gotten trampled in the mist of the excitement. Overall my daughter had a good time.
Too many acts before Soulja Boy & Sammy that were on the stage longer than the stars we came to hear. There should have been more focus on the headline acts -- that's who we paid to see!
My children loved it! It was everything I hoped for my 7 yr old exclaimed. This was his first concert and he couldn't wait. Little did I know that my 16 yr old was more excited than him. What was i thinking! I was very pleased with the outcome of the concert, My children being happy makes me happy.
I purchased these tickets 4 my daughter and her friends. My daughter loves Arab and was very disappointed that he was not there. They were invited to go backstage after the concert was over, but were redirected very forcefully by the rented security guards at the Regal, because others were trying to do so without invitations. They enjoyed the concert.
