About

Sophie Ellis-Bextor is an English singer/songwriter known for her disco-pop hits. She gained fame in the late 1990s as the lead singer of the indie music group theaudience before embarking on a successful solo career. In January 2024, her song "Murder on the Dancefloor," which was released on her more than two decades prior on her 2001 album Read My Lips, made its debut on the Billboard Hot 100. The track's resurgence in popularity was fueled by a viral TikTok trend. • She filled the venue with music and charm

by CJGP on 11/6/25The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Charming as ever, timeless as ever… Sophie Ellis-Bextor filled the Danforth Music Hall with music, dance and love. I’ve dreamt to see her on stage since she broke out in the early 2000’s and when I finally saw her live my younger self and my today self had a blast. Couldn’t stop dancing or singing along. She was perfection and radiant!

  • I had the best time seeing this artist for the first time.

by Zak on 11/1/25The Regent Theater - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Sound was amazing. Up front wasn't too loud at all given the disco bounce was right. However I could have used some more sauce vocally from the vocals back up and main. The show was absolutely sensational with high energy and disco grooves for days. I enjoyed the night it was the best start to the week. Absolutely loved hearing the new songs from the artist's new album. ❤️ Looking forward to seeing the group again.

  • Discotheque night

by Araminta on 10/31/25August Hall - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first Sophie concert. It was the best! She was energetic, engaging and enthusiastic! She played new music, well known hits and not so well known hits. It was a blast. The venue was the perfect size. I hope she tours again.

  • A Most Wonderful Evening

by Talent and Beauty on 10/30/25The Regent Theater - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Loved this venue, I had never been to it before. I liked the sound and the fact that there are two easily accessible bars and parking lots at somewhat decent prices. For the show itself, Sophie was as always ON FIRE and gave us a great show with boundless energy, nonstop dancing and her wonderful voice. If anything, it was too short and barely a two song encore., it felt like they were under a real time pressure.

This was my first time at the Regent Theatre and it was an awesome experience! The venue is such a great place for a show, and gave a very personal and intimate feel. Always love seeing Sophie and can't wait to dance to disco again!
