About

SOMMORE ON TOUR:

Ever since her debut in the early '90s, comedy queen Sommore has had audiences falling out of their seats with her witty skits on the female perspective. Dubbed "a force to be reckoned with in the new millennium” by Oprah Winfrey, Sommore delivers her often-controversial jokes in a lighthearted manner and is never afraid to push the boundaries with her animated shows. Oozing with sass and style, her skits are as funny as ever as she hosts the 2014 Standing Ovation Tour, where she'll perform alongside a number of highly acclaimed comedians.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Atlanta-based comedian Sommore has been performing stand-up comedy for over 20 years, earning her first recognition in 1994 as host of BET's "Comic View." Since then, she's exploded onto the scene with a number of hit comedy performances, including the Guinness World Record-breaking "Queens of Comedy" tour alongside Laura Hayes, Mo'Nique, and Adele Givens. Not only has Sommore had a widely successful career as a female comedian, but she's also appeared on numerous talk shows and acted in many films and television series, proving she's an entertainer at heart. Back on the road for a string of highly anticipated shows, Sommore will have fans rolling on the floor with her latest stand-up routine.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"I had a great time... This was comedy at its best! Not a dull moment..."

"She was hilarious. We laughed so hard 'til our stomachs hurt. Sommore was the best host ever!"

"Sommore was the star and funny as hell! It was a real treat, the queen reigned!!"

    Not good

by ccain512 on 3/14/10Atlanta Civic Center - Atlanta

Was led to believe D.L. Hugley would be a bigger part of the show...he was almost non-existant. DC Curry was the best. Short show. Wouldn't recommend.

    Royal Comedy Tour was hillarious!

by tlwillis on 3/14/10Atlanta Civic Center - Atlanta

I thought the show was well organized and the comics were great! I would have like to have had more DL Hugley, but I understand the others had to have their opportunity for showcasing as well. J Anthony Brown was a great opening act.

The Royal Comedy Tour was Disappointing

by Anonymous on 3/14/10Atlanta Civic Center - Atlanta

The Royal Comedy Tour was disappointing. I expected D.L. Hudley to be the funniest , but Sommore was the funniest. DC Curry was OK. But Hudley had no new jokes and J Anthony was not funny.

This was one of the best comedy shows I have been to in Atlanta. All of the comedians were on top of there game. J Anthony Brown is crazy and Don DC Curry is a true old School comic. I was in stitched all night. DL is DL one of the best in the business.

Royal Comedy Tour was slightly better than average

by LindaLou57 on 3/8/10Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

Overall the entire play was slightly better than average. The host did a good job. I could not hear much of Bruce Bruce's comedy. He seem to talk lower or fade out at the end of his jokes, so both my husband and I missed the punch lines. Sommore was loud, clear, and animated, and she did a great job.

    A night to remember

by turqois on 3/7/10Stranahan Theater - Toledo

The show overall was a good show, every comdeian did a good job. I love Sommore but I have seen her on several occasions and I feel like she need some new material I pretty much knew almost every joke from seeing her at previous events. Besides Sommore needing new material I thought the show was awesome. I hope they come back and give Toledo more love

    Good but could've been better

by farrahs15 on 3/7/10Jackson Convention Center - Jackson

Me and my fiance drove from baton rouge, la to see this show. This was a first for both of us. The facility was not whatwe expected...folding chairs and the stage looked as if it was thrown together. But the comedians were great. Would have been funnier with jay anthony brown. But they ALL did their thing. The opening act was mediocre and the announcer sucked. I would still recommend it for a good laugh!!!!

I was sooo glad when they extended this even to 2 shows instead of 1. I was really sorry that I missed purchasing tickets, and elated when I found out that they created another show. It was GREAT fun. Hilarious comics and great atmosphere!
