SOJA IN CONCERT:
Tempestuous weather and turbulent waters are no match for the chill vibes of Virginia-based reggae rockers SOJA. In advance of their ninth studio album, the band will embark on the Calm Before The Storm Spring Tour in early 2014, treating fans throughout the Southeastern US to laid-back sets of their smooth grooves and folk-influenced storytelling.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
The members of SOJA, formerly known as Soldiers of Jah Army, have been playing music together since middle and high school, forming an intimate bond that's immediately evident in their tight playing. Following a self-titled EP in 2000, the band released Peace in a Time of War, their first full-length album, in 2002. Influenced by the politics and musical style of reggae legend Bob Marley, the band struck a chord with fans of roots rock reggae, paving the way for the success of 2006's Get Wiser, which debuted in the Top 10 Reggae Albums on iTunes. The bands mesmerizing live show further bolstered their reputation, resulting in several successful live DVDs. Releasing eight albums in just over ten years, the ever-prolific band thrilled fans with the announcement of a ninth album in 2014.

I love this band!!! They are amazing. I had a fantastic time. The horn players are the bomb!! Jacob is the best singer and has a way of making you feel like he is singing to you!! Bobby lee is has the greatest energy and the drummer and the keyboards kick some serious ass!!! I danced all night, had fun inspite of the fact that I am old enough to be their mother!! (I still got it!)..LOL...
extreemme high energy, grate vibes, feet moving, bass pumpin' total overall good time. the spot was sahweet with the galaxy ceiling, trevor young killed it; so fresh & so clean clean...fear nuttin band was as always AMAZING, packed with positive energy, the new cd is real good stuff, got it there..and well we all know SOJA brought it home, to make this any xtra fun-smile packed event. much love <3 bless up & until next time brothas ;)
Another great show as I went back to back nights. Once again never disappointed when you attend a Soja show. Fear Nuttin Band was awesome as well!! And to kick it off the Trevor Young rocked it with his solo sweet performance.
I'm speechless...really! Great show, amazing vibe, and a small venue. Jacob's voice pulls at my heart strings and the music is like fire in my veins! Thanks guys for a sh-AMAZING performance once again!

Fantastic band in every way! Great live performers as well as musicians.
Having never been to a reggae concert, I had no idea what to expect. But I'd listened to the band a few times before and liked what I heard. I thought the event would just be SOJA playing their studio tracks or something. The concert blew what I was expecting out of the water. Not only did the band play some of their bigger hits, but every member had multiple chances to show off their musical abilities. There were solos blazing all over the place; from the sax player to the guy on the bongos and in between the music rang out. Each song had it's own uplifting feeling behind it, and everyone in the crowd was rocking out like mad. Overall, seeing SOJA was a great experience. Definitely something I'd like to do again!

SOJA puts on the best show, the security was a little much.
I was quite upset that the line up had changed because we all attended the event really to see J Boog. The next problem was that they limited the amount if people that could dance n get close to the stage. The only thing that saved the night was that Soja came hard wit it.
Very entertaining; variations on the songs was very good. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute
SOJA was fantastic! Dirty Heads were OKAY.... and I am not sure who the heck the New Politics are, and quite frankly I would prefer never to see them again, but I would do it all over again just to see Jacob and his crew rock the house!
GREAT SHOW AND FLORIDA THEATRE ,JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA IS AN AWESOME PLACE TO SEE SHOWS,, GREAT STAFF THERE ALSO. SHOW WAS FREE FLOWING, ALL CREW I WAS WITH HAD A REALLY GREAT TIME. CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE SOJA AGAIN !!

Soja is one of the best regge bands of our time. They really killed it at the show. It was fun to watch and they had me bumping the album the whole way home.
Both SOJA and Mambo Sauce were AMAZING!! Had a blast! I had always liked SOJA, but Mambo Sauce is one of my new favorite bands! SO original!
Great Venue...SOJA rocked!! Mambo Juice was AWESOME!!! Huge fan of Chris Boomer! When are they coming around again???!!!! Can't wait!!
SOJA and Chris Boomer are the best. These guys rocked the house. I love everything about the venue. The best part is the artist get off stage and go chill with the fans after the show. It is so personal and I would recommend this place and these guys to anyone!
They were amazing. Great sound & great vibe. Jacob is really easy on the eyes too. : )
