About

A major punk band for over two decades, Social Distortion came out of Los Angeles's active hardcore scene of the late '70s and early '80s. Their first album, Mommy's Little Monster, appeared in 1983 and featured the song "Another State of Mind," which aired as one of a few punk videos on mid-'80s MTV. Since then, Social Distortion have further developed their mix of punk and rockabilly with such songs as "Ball and Chain," "Bad Luck" and "Reach for the Sky." To this day, Social Distortion remain one of punk's most exciting and vital bands. Over the course of their career, Social Distortion have brought many venues to capacity, like Observatory North Park and the Mission Ballroom.

    A parking lot isn’t a venue!

by Dean on 4/30/24Revolution Live Outdoors - Fort Lauderdale

Great show in a terrible venue that once was a great venue. For some reason this show was held in the parking lot on a terrible stage. The inside stage has always been a great place for an intimate experience. Not sure why they did this, but I will not go to another show there unless I am assured it won’t be in that parking lot.

    bad venue

by jay on 4/30/24Revolution Live Outdoors - Fort Lauderdale

both bands played very well. The venue was way oversold don’t think they were prepared for the crowd they get received, and it was total pain to get a drink go to the bathroom and so forth.

    200mph nonstop

by wild bill on 4/30/24Revolution Live Outdoors - Fort Lauderdale

Bad religion came out and kicked me in the teeth and was relentless for an hour plus non stop. One of the best performances I have ever seen. Social D was as good as ever. Worth every penny!

    Underwhelming

by Nicky Freebird on 4/30/24Revolution Live Outdoors - Fort Lauderdale

I believe Mike Ness was drunk. Slurring the lyrics and babbling between songs. The tempo of the songs were slowed to accommodate his poor performance. I gave two stars for the effort. Thank you for not skipping South Florida, as most tours do.

    Social D

by Bman on 4/30/24Revolution Live Outdoors - Fort Lauderdale

Social Distortion is a great band. The venue was garbage. Who wants to go see a band in a parking lot. Surrounded by parking garages. If you needed to get a soft drink or beer the lines were outrageously long. Or even worse if you had to use the rest room in this venue’s case it was a disgusting port o podie. That venue was a waste of time and money.

Don’t waste your $$$ on VIP

by Feeling ripped off! on 4/30/24Revolution Live Outdoors - Fort Lauderdale

VIP was a complete waste of extra money. The viewing area was terrible. If you wanted to see the stage, in the super VIP area, they forced you to purchase a bottle of liquor for $250. Lame! Never again!!

    Great bands, worst venue ever!

by mambobeetle on 4/30/24Revolution Live Outdoors - Fort Lauderdale

The bands were absolutely amazing, but the venue was a disaster. When I bought my ticket, it said it was in “The Backyard” which has bars and bathrooms. They moved the event to the parking lot and had port-o-potties. To make things worse, they packed us in so tight that we could not tell where a line for anything started. There were no trash cans, garbage everywhere, people tripping over parking blocks and curbs. I will not go back to the venue again. It appears Revolution Live is on borrowed time and it shows. There is a sign for a high rise to be built in its current location.

Revolution did not hold it together!

by Kegger on 4/30/24Revolution Live Outdoors - Fort Lauderdale

The music was fantastic- the venue was overwhelmed! Bad drinks situation - not enough staff - spent all night in a line….so disappointed Revolution didn’t come thru for Social D and Bad Religion:-(
