Great Dancing - Bad Venue
by VeryDisappointed2 on 9/25/09Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 3 out of 5The dancing was great, but never get floor seats unless they are up front at the Prudential Center. The stage was lower than the seats and as a result anyone average height or below could not see anything done on the stage floor. Had the stage been a foot or two higher it would not have been a problem. When we asked the event staff if we could move to unoccupied cheaper seats they refused to let us and then let other people do it. The person next to us referred to it as the most expensive night of TV ever, since they had to watch it on the screens on either side of the stage. The show is basically the greatest hits of Season 5, with a few new dances thrown in. As the dancers get to speak more as they introduce each number (even if it is scripted) you get to learn a little bit more of their personalities. Bottom line - If your floor seats are not up front you would be better off getting cheaper seats up higher or stay home.
