Slipknot in Concert

Theatrical nu-metal act Slipknot approaches live concerts in a different fashion than most touring acts. Rather than being acknowledged by name, each member of the nine-piece act is referred to by a number and each dons an industrial jumpsuit and his own unique mask. The concept serves dual purposes: to entertain fans and keep the musicians focused on performing.

Since their 1995 debut, the Iowa-based heavy metal outfit has had an easy time selling albums and tickets, with their 1999 eponymous debut making it onto The Billboard 200 and earning double-platinum status. Three full-length releases have followed, with a 2014 collection rumored to be in the works.

Slipknot, a regular on the Ozzfest tour circuit along with their own headlining runs, earned a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance in 2006 for the single "Before I Forget" from 2004's "Vol. 3 (The Subliminal Verses)." The band worked with iconic producer Rick Rubin on the collection, which marks the group's only profanity-free effort.

Slipknot on Tour

Following the enormous success of 2019's inaugural Knotfest Roadshow tour, the multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning hard rock band, Slipknot announced they will headline the Knotfest Roadshow 2020. Joining them to showcase the best the world of heavy music has to offer are special guests A Day To Remember, Underoath and Code Orange.

    Awesome night, but horrible venue

by Brefid on 10/6/22Ak-Chin Pavilion - Phoenix

I love seeing my favorite bands at Ak-Chin Pavilion, especially seeing Slipknot there was amazing. Although, the venue itself is not great. I waited in the east side merchandise line for 1 hour & 40 minutes. Ridiculous to say the least. There needs to be a better flow with the merchandise lines or there needs to be more stands. Also, the parking lot after the performance is done is absolutely insane. There’s no direction about what cars go when so it’s just everybody trying to get out. When we were finally able to leave the parking lot after 1 hour & 30 minutes, we saw a man, a nice civilian who attended the slipknot concert, directing traffic. Thank goodness for him. I hope that this venue can make these changes for future performances.

    It good

by Tri on 10/6/22Ak-Chin Pavilion - Phoenix

Everything was good.. except the parking paid for premiere parking and didn't leave till an hour an half later we were stuck in the lot and the event staff were not letting us know why we couldn't leave

    Great time with friends

by Kayla on 10/6/22Ak-Chin Pavilion - Phoenix

The show was a blast, we had an easy time getting to our seats and back and forth to the bar and merch. Our overall experience was great. I really enjoyed the opening bands Crown the Empire and Ice Nine Kills. Now when it came to Slipknot, the provided exactly what i expected. Second time seeing them and they know how to put on a show!

    It was AWESOME!

by Benhead on 10/6/22Ak-Chin Pavilion - Phoenix

This was my 1st timw seeing Slipknot, INK, & Crown the Empire and I loved it! I had great seats in section 303. 1 downside is im short so... lol And the line for merchandise was insane! Waited close to an hour and the shirt i wanted was out. But I just got another. I mean waiting in a long line would've been wasted if I decided to not to get anything. Especially since I missed some of INK song and the beginning of Slipknots intro. I do wish section 300 had some cover also. But ill try for section 200 next time. All in all I am happy I went & will probably see them again. I do like Ak Chin Pavilion it is 1 of my top 3 venues to see performances at. Just wish they had bigger section for merchandise. Although any venue I've been to has the same issue with the merch.

    Another Epic Rock event

by Mysty on 10/6/22Ak-Chin Pavilion - Phoenix

No long lines to enter which is always great, I purposely come an hour or so after show time so I don’t have to wait. Food isn’t so good so I never buy any food there. The drinks are awesome. Performances were great but the slipknot set seemed to have the volume turned up more because I couldn’t make out any of the music, it was almost distorted.

    slipknot 2022

    by c w kloos on 10/6/22Ak-Chin Pavilion - Phoenix

Awesome show . The lighting and sound was top noch. Love all shows at this venue. The parking lot when clearing out a concert should have better help. It was a nightmare leaving and no help directing traffic. Drunk people from the show were directing traffic.

Amazing show and the best venue

by Liam on 10/6/22Ak-Chin Pavilion - Phoenix

Two years in a row I have traveled with friends to go see Slipknot at AK-Chin Pavillion. The venue is absolutely amazing, and I will travel every year to see shows there. The VIP lounge is excellent, the food stalls are great, and the sound is outstanding. It is my favorite outside venue on the west coast. It is easy to get in and out, lots of taxi's and app-based car services. Each time we were out of there in under 10 minutes and on the way to the hotel. Slipknot rules as always. Enough said.

    Phenomenal Concert!

by Marky Mark on 10/5/22Ak-Chin Pavilion - Phoenix

While a bit of a drive, two hours, it was worth it. The first two bands were great, but everyone was hyping up Slipknot. I listened to their music throughout my childhood and always wanted to go to a concert, now, after many years I have. The seats we got were amazing, down the center and in perfect view. The price was expensive for four of us, but worth the admission. This concert was awesome and will be in my memory till the day I die. Simply amazing!

    Too short :/

by Was not as good as last years on 10/5/22Ak-Chin Pavilion - Phoenix

They only sang for approximately 1 hours, how sad is that. Last year and past concerts has always been over 1.5 hours. Disappointed

    BEST SHOW

by Amanda on 10/5/22Ak-Chin Pavilion - Phoenix

OMG Slipknot did not disappoint. This show was my first and I will be seeing them on repeat. My daughter and I rocked out (did not stop moving the entire show), got some great pictures, and enjoyed the evening under the Arizona sky!!! LOVED SLIPKNOT’S PERFORMANCE!!!

    Not to shabby

    by Mr.K on 10/5/22Ak-Chin Pavilion - Phoenix

The concert was a very mellow concert for Slipknot. Usually if there is a lot more marching and moving around and people were too busy video recording then marching it was disappointing but slipknot was bad ass as always.
