Slipknot in Concert

Theatrical nu-metal act Slipknot approaches live concerts in a different fashion than most touring acts. Rather than being acknowledged by name, each member of the nine-piece act is referred to by a number and each dons an industrial jumpsuit and his own unique mask. The concept serves dual purposes: to entertain fans and keep the musicians focused on performing.

Since their 1995 debut, the Iowa-based heavy metal outfit has had an easy time selling albums and tickets, with their 1999 eponymous debut making it onto The Billboard 200 and earning double-platinum status. Three full-length releases have followed, with a 2014 collection rumored to be in the works.

Slipknot, a regular on the Ozzfest tour circuit along with their own headlining runs, earned a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance in 2006 for the single "Before I Forget" from 2004's "Vol. 3 (The Subliminal Verses)." The band worked with iconic producer Rick Rubin on the collection, which marks the group's only profanity-free effort.

Slipknot on Tour

Following the enormous success of 2019's inaugural Knotfest Roadshow tour, the multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning hard rock band, Slipknot announced they will headline the Knotfest Roadshow 2020. Joining them to showcase the best the world of heavy music has to offer are special guests A Day To Remember, Underoath and Code Orange.

  • Slipknot Concert

by Jaz on 9/20/24Moody Center ATX - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

It's was an amazing concert. I had amazing seats Section. 113 roll B 7,8,9 right in the middle the view & sounds were great..it was my sons 15th birthday & his first concert .I wanted everything to be perfect and it was. Slipknot sounds great live, over all a great concert. My only wish is that we would've heard more songs from there new music and all hope is gone was my favorite album& my sons was the end so far ..they played all the songs from the first album its their 25th anniversary all songs were from the year 1999 but we had a great time and the show was amazing. The venue was clean and the parking was a 3-5 minute walk from the parking garage around the corner. We arrived around 5pm for good parking over all great experience ..

  • Another great show

by Rich on 9/20/24Moody Center ATX - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

As always Slipknot never fails to impress me with the show I know it was the 25th anniversary and they killed it. I have followed them since Ozzfest and they keep putting a hell of a show

  • Classic concert

by Hall on 9/20/24Moody Center ATX - AustinRating: 3 out of 5

They should have a couple of new songs. I understand it was a 25th anniversary but it wouldn’t have hurt to play a couple of new ones.

Slipknot show was amazing!!! Venue needs looking in to. Parking sucks! Seats are to close and tight. Very uncomfortable! I had to walk close to 2 miles to get to the venue and I have a bad back!!!!

Slipknot and Knocked Loose were amazing. The fact that Slipknot played a lot of the old stuff which was awesome.

  • Did People Forget How to Mosh? Amazing Band, Lame Audience

by Underwhelmed Maggot on 9/19/24Intuit Dome - InglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

Slipknot was MIGHTY. Incredible heavy energy & sound we all know and love from the very first second, they opened with SIC. Total treat to see them do just the pre-1999 songs. My gripe: the majority of the crowd seemed dead. Just zombies holding their phones up to record not just a moment here and there, but the majority of the time. This is Slipknot doing the classics FFS, and maybe two people were even trying to mosh. Why would you spend over $500 to be in the pit or VIP to not move a muscle? The lack of energy was extremely weird.

Overall great experience listening to Slipknot live for their 25th anniversary!

  • good show

by i’m on 9/19/24Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre - PhoenixRating: 4 out of 5

decent concert. venue was a little bit under budget. the venue seems to be a little dilapidated

  • Such a great performance

by Clmbna on 9/19/24Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

I was happy to see Vended for the 1st time, even happier to see Slipknot & Knocked Loose again!

  • Song Selection

by Teddy on 9/19/24Rating: 3 out of 5

I’ve been to Slipknot twice before and loved every bit of their performances, however tonight that changed. Slipknot played only songs before 1999 which I think is a cool idea if they had also played their more popular on top of their tribute to their first album. I would not have paid $200 for my friends and I to see Slipknot knowing they were not going to play my favorite songs. They put on a great performance nontheless, but I wish they’d appealed more to their audience as a whole.

  • Worth The Wait!

    by shellv77 on 9/18/24Intuit Dome - InglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

Took my son and his friend to see the show and it was awesome. Slipknot did not disappoint. The energy and awesomeness this bad brought was amazing. We had such a good time.

  • Slipknot

by Jprice130 on 9/18/24Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

They were awesome. Still killing it 25 years later. So badass. And the opening band Vended is my new favourite.

  • Best show ever

    by Sasha_Nightmare on 9/18/24Rating: 5 out of 5

Had planned it for months and didn’t disappoint. Couldn’t see Joey but at least I got a taste of 99 Knot!

  • Disappointed

by Cj on 9/18/24Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre - PhoenixRating: 1 out of 5

Slipknot did not play any of their hit songs. They only played songs from 1999. First album. No others. Wish they had said this beforehand which they did not. Such a waste of my hard earned money.

  • 25th Anniversary Show in Phoenix

by Suz on 9/18/24Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre - PhoenixRating: 4 out of 5

Slipknot sounded great as usual (This was my 18th time seeing them) but because it was the 25th anniversary of the first time they played Phoenix, they opted to only play their stuff from 1999. I'm sure this disappointed many people who were hoping to hear their newer stuff. I happened to be at their first show here 25 years ago, so I was okay with it. It was a little short but overall They still kick ass!

  • Amazing

by Jen on 9/18/24Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

My first time seeing Slipknot and easily one of my favorite performances I’ve experienced so far. Venue was packed but vibes were immaculate. Had so much fun. Vended and Knocked Loose brought the energy as well, can’t wait to see them again.

  • Stunning

by Kota on 9/18/24Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre - PhoenixRating: 4 out of 5

Security was straight to the point making sure the venue's/patrons safety is in their hands. Staff was very polite, but food was slightly expensive. The weather was great for being an outdoor show and the show overall was awesome

  • TOO AWESOME !!!

by Bruh on 9/18/24Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

Best concert I’ve seen them perform ! All songs from 1st album. I was astounded and overwhelmed.
