Slipknot in Concert
Theatrical nu-metal act Slipknot approaches live concerts in a different fashion than most touring acts. Rather than being acknowledged by name, each member of the nine-piece act is referred to by a number and each dons an industrial jumpsuit and his own unique mask. The concept serves dual purposes: to entertain fans and keep the musicians focused on performing.
Since their 1995 debut, the Iowa-based heavy metal outfit has had an easy time selling albums and tickets, with their 1999 eponymous debut making it onto The Billboard 200 and earning double-platinum status. Three full-length releases have followed, with a 2014 collection rumored to be in the works.
Slipknot, a regular on the Ozzfest tour circuit along with their own headlining runs, earned a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance in 2006 for the single "Before I Forget" from 2004's "Vol. 3 (The Subliminal Verses)." The band worked with iconic producer Rick Rubin on the collection, which marks the group's only profanity-free effort.
Slipknot on Tour
Following the enormous success of 2019's inaugural Knotfest Roadshow tour, the multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning hard rock band, Slipknot announced they will headline the Knotfest Roadshow 2020. Joining them to showcase the best the world of heavy music has to offer are special guests A Day To Remember, Underoath and Code Orange.

It was a good show. Place was very clean. Easy to get in an out
All the bands absolutely killed their sets. Excellent energy, musicianship, and crowd interaction. I will definitely see any of these guys again when they come back around Indiana.
This was my first slipknot show, and it was really good. They had a great mix of old and new. I didn’t see much of the openers because i came in late. But Saw a little bit of volbeat, always really good from the past 2 shows ive seen them in. Highly recommend
Volbeat was a great opener for the show. Sliptknot had a great show visually as well as sound. Wish I could see it again tomorrow.
Never saw behemoth before and the surprised me with how well they performed. Gojira never saw them perform and they were great! Volbeat was absolutely on point! And Slipknot I mean what can I say they slayed their performance!! I last saw them in 2015 and they were even better now! Overall it was a badass concert!
It Rocked ....i enjoyed the other bands of which i have seen at coa 2016 and 2017 but i enjoyed vol beat and slipknot the most...
Let's put it to you this way. I thought the Knotfest Road was fantastic and if I can pull it off? I will be going to Bristow Virginia to see Behmoth, Gojira and two of my faves Volbeat and Slipknot once again!!! OFF THE CHAIN
It was amazing show. Great lineup. Even I didn’t like volbeat much, I think it was great. The interaction with the public was amazing. Needless to say slipknot was amazing. Sound was good but not great for slipknot.
Only problem was they shut down the lawn and tried to push us all into the seats due to the storm. This created issues with those who spent the extra funds to purchase seats. I had the VIP and ended up hiding out and there and watching most of the show on the monitors. Although the main bar kept blowing a fuse and losing power which made it aggravating to wait for them to get the TVs back up and running. As far as sound and performance as always Slipknot was incredible and overall the experience was awesome.
The show was absolutely amazing everything from venue set up to stage show and set changes. This was by far the best show I’ve been to yet. All of the bands were amazing and sounded great one of the best sounding shows I’ve been to in a long time. All four bands put on incredible shows especially slipknot. Their new stage set up is absolutely amazing one of the best I’ve seen. All bands had wonderful St. Louis if I could I would’ve seen every tour date they had for this event.
Overall, the experience was enjoyable. Having worked in concert venues before, I would say that from the parking to the concessions to the ushers and security, I didn't have any issues. I do however think that weather contingency plans could be a little more thought out. The lawn patrons had to clear the lawn due to lightning in the area for quite a while which led to congestion in the seating and concourse areas. I asked myself what might have happened had this been a sold out show, which Slipknot clearly was not. Understandingly, there are outdoor areas that may be suceptible to inclement weather, bit I think the process for managing that in the moment could be better thought out. Some sort of temporary refuge areas on the lawn for days where weather might be an issue possibly. At any rate, the experience was decent and the bands we're great.
The venue was great. The show was great. It took me 20 years to finally be able to see Slipknot and I did it. Volbeat was fantastic as well. I've been a fan of them for a while and live they were great. Gojira was good and I liked them live. I have become a new fan. Go see them all and enjoy a great live show. We are Virginia Beach Strong
Awesome venue. Helpful staff. Pretty neat how you can orders drinks right to your seat... every band on this tour gave an amazing performance! Behemoth! Gojira! Volbeat! Slipknot!
I've gone to see Slipknot three years in a row and I've never been unhappy with the time I spent there
Slipknot has amazing energy. Every member is a showman, they run around the stage and gesture to the audience. Sid is so entertaining! He was moonwalking forwards, looked like he was on a moving belt. Clown is always doing some type of crazy, almost choreographed move. Corey is always flawless and keeps the crowd energy high. Jay bangs on the drums like a man possessed. Their set lasts at least 90 minutes, I always leave a Slipknot show spent and satisfied. Best metal shows I have ever been to and I am a concert junkie.
Gojira, Volbeat, and Slipknot definitely killed it. It was the best concert for my first Slipknot show and I couldn’t be more impressed. I was also very appreciative of the service I received.
Best live band ever! It’s a must see concert if you love metal. Corey Taylor is amazing!
The main reason for buying tickets was to see Volbeat but enjoyed all of the bands. I had listened to a few Slipknot songs but not familiar with all of them. They put on an amazing show and the energy of the crowd made it so much better. The show was definitely better than I expected and would pay to see again.
I’ve been to a LOT of concerts over my 13 years. But this was probably one of the best concerts I’ve ever been too, slipknot is tied to be my favorite band (along with Shinedown) and they both put on an amazing show, but slipknot has the power of mine members and it just can’t be beat
