About

Slightly Stoopid was discovered by Sublime’s Bradley Nowell in 1995. Co-founders Miles Doughty and Kyle McDonald were still in high school in San Diego when they inked a deal with Nowell’s indie label Skunk Records. Fusing rock, reggae, and blues with hip-hop, funk, American folk, metal, and punk, Slightly Stoopid forged their sonic legacy on the road, selling out venues across the world and bringing their SoCal vibes to festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, New Orleans Jazz Fest, Austin City Limits and more. Albums like Everything You Need (2003), Closer to the Sun (2005) and Chronchitis (2007) feature summertime classics “2am” and “Closer to the Sun.”

by Hauvette on 7/15/09Santa Barbara Bowl - Santa Barbara

Just an amazing show I never sat once, smoked my herb with no problems and had a great night. I HIGHly recommend seeing a show from this tour, Stephen Marley, Snoop, and Slightly Stoopid..best line up ever! Amazing summer show!

Snoop Doggy Dog rocked da house!

by Misslioness on 7/15/09Santa Barbara Bowl - Santa Barbara

Third time I have seen Snoop Dog perform and I always have a blast from the past. His energy is so fun and happy. Snoop never skips a beat and has me dancing from beginning to end and cant get enough. Slightly Stoopid has very cool fun songs that keep me grooving. Definitely a great time.

    blazed but not confused

by nicodemus on 7/14/09Santa Barbara Bowl - Santa Barbara

Awesome show. Good call on the lineup order. Both snoop and slightly are equally good artists in my opinion, snoop having the elder edge but slightly with a newer sound. But slightly really closed the show out with some mellow jams. Wished I could have seen Snoop rip some slightly stupid instrumentals

Mickey Avalon & Snoop Dogg were ridiculous! :)

by LO5683 on 7/13/09Santa Barbara Bowl - Santa Barbara

Loved the entire show. Mickey Avalon rocks in concert, great guy to meet too. Snoop Dogg always knows how to pump up the crowd and always puts on an awesome show. I like Slightly Stoopid's old music better tho....

"This is my message to you, hooo, hooo..."

by GBerz on 7/13/09Santa Barbara Bowl - Santa Barbara

This concert was my first st the SB Bowl and I couldn't have picked a better line up! Mickey Avalon did his thang, Steven Marley is the true air-apparent to his father's throne, Snoop got everyone up on their feet, and Slightly Stoopid brought it home with their smooth herbal melodies. Marley's musical style and voice resemble the timeless yet politically relevant sounds of his Father. Between the lovely ladies singing with him and his son(?) dancing on stage I could have listened to Marley all night!! Snoop gave us some of those classic jams most of us have grown up knowing which are as gangster as ever...would we expect anything else? I have never seen Stoopid in person and was only familiar with ther bigger hits... I was very pleasantly suprised with the length of their performance and the quality of their sound in person!! DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND GO UP IN SMOKE!!! Peace & Love!

Blazed & Confused Concert in Santa Barbara

by Hunny13 on 7/13/09Santa Barbara Bowl - Santa Barbara

My husband & I had a blast! The music & atmosphere were exactly how we imagined it! Snoop's performance was awesome & Slightly Stoopid was a great way to end the nite! One problem that we had, we waited in line to get our alcohol bracelets the entire stephen marley section... Very sad to have missed it, but sounded great anyways!

    Awesome show!

by beachgirlsb on 7/13/09Santa Barbara Bowl - Santa Barbara

I had so much fun at the Blazed & Confused concert last night...Although we got there at the very end of Mickey Avalon's set, we got to hear "Jane Fonda" which was a winner, as always. Stephen Marley was awesome!!...and being at the SB Bowl outside made it even better. Snoop was so much fun to watch, and he performed some of his best songs. He had the whole audience on their feet! Slightly Stoopid was a great way to finish the concert, especially since it had gotten dark and their music is so chill :-)

    Babylon is Falling Down

by burtonsnow8 on 7/13/09Santa Barbara Bowl - Santa Barbara

Even though I missed Marley, Snoop and Stoopid were off the hook. I just wish they would have done a colabo of some sort...possibly 'the otherside'.
