About

Slightly Stoopid was discovered by Sublime’s Bradley Nowell in 1995. Co-founders Miles Doughty and Kyle McDonald were still in high school in San Diego when they inked a deal with Nowell’s indie label Skunk Records. Fusing rock, reggae, and blues with hip-hop, funk, American folk, metal, and punk, Slightly Stoopid forged their sonic legacy on the road, selling out venues across the world and bringing their SoCal vibes to festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, New Orleans Jazz Fest, Austin City Limits and more. Albums like Everything You Need (2003), Closer to the Sun (2005) and Chronchitis (2007) feature summertime classics “2am” and “Closer to the Sun.”

Came from far away to feel the vibe!!

by TheEuropean on 7/16/09Red Rocks Amphitheatre - Morrison

I'm from germany and this is my first time in the US. A good friend offered me that opportunity to go and see Slightly Stoopid and Snoop Dogg at Red Rocks. It was amazing. It was the first concert I went to. The whole atmosphere was breathtaking, when everyone was supporting the lyrics. I heard Slightly Stoopid for the first time and they were giving cool vibes. All in all? More than worth going to see them where ever there are next! Enjoy it if you plan to go, I really did!

I have seen Stephen Marley many times, always awesome (nobody can cover Bob like him)...Snoop tore it up ~ not hard to break a sweat dancing...liked his shots out to 2pac. Slightly Stupid? Never seen them before but was a great show since they were the healiners...woulda liked to have seen Snoop headline, but overall totally rockin event!

    Blazed and Amazing!

by xFoos on 7/16/09Red Rocks Amphitheatre - Morrison

This was a phenomenal show, every performer across the board did an amazing job and sounded great. Snoop Dog's performance was flawless and one of the best I've ever seen. Slightly Stoopid also had a great performance and as plumes of smoke rose from the crowd, I couldn’t help but think; what a great show!

    Snoop Only

by smd2003 on 7/16/09Red Rocks Amphitheatre - Morrison

So, my buddies and I just turned 40. We are old for this type of show but we have been listening to Snoop since college. Besides Metallica, Slayer and Pantera playing at our college parties, we always had The Chronic and Doggiestyle playing. Everyone there was in there teen and twenties but everyone was loving Snoop and his stuff. A little too much with the crowd involvement but that would be my only critique. When he had Rage come out the was this shizzznit and my favorite part of the show. If you don't know Rage then download some old snoop stuff and listen to her because she tears it up. God she is good. I like Corrupt as well because he has sick skillz but I wish he had more stage presents. Its like I feel Snoop as he is on stage but with Corrupt I only hear him. We had a friend at the show so he txt us just before snoop came on. Then we headed from the Morrison bar up to Red Rocks and got there just as he started. After he was done we left. So, I dont have a review on any other bands. I can tell you that Snoop was the third of four bands. Last year he opened for 311 and this year was better but when is he going to get his due? He needs to be the headline act.

Snoop and Stoopid Rocked the JOINT!!

by ElSIMON on 7/16/09Red Rocks Amphitheatre - Morrison

The concert was incredible!!!!!! Snoop rocked the house and got every body pumped then Stoopid came out and kept it going. Mickey Avalon was much better than i thought he was going to be. And as usuall Stephan Marley always brings good vibes and good music. One complaint though. The concert was filled will adolescent rude kids. Hard to enjoy a show when u gotta watch out for 18 year olds throwing up and trying to take ur seat.

    Holy shiznit

by SkiBum69 on 7/16/09Red Rocks Amphitheatre - Morrison

mickey avalon sucks...no doubt that the crowd seems to agree with that. When stephen marley came on, it was unbelievable, especially when he brought junior marley up to join him...snoop doggy dogg was cool. played a lot of his older stuff, which i enjoyed. slightly stoopid was unbelievable. they don't have one bad song, so how could they not be?

    Slightly Stoopid is the best!

by snochic48 on 7/16/09Red Rocks Amphitheatre - Morrison

Slightly Stoopid played the best set I've seen in years. Marley was awesome as well. As for Snoop, he just wouldn't get off the stage. He's too full of himself...
