About

"To be honest my vibe gets killed the most when I'm concentrating too much on what is around me and thinking too much about it all," Moore states. "I have the most fun when I let my inhibitions check out, right at that point things just start to happen."

It started to go well for Sonny when he filtered out the noise and distraction of his world as a solo artist and started mining the ephemeral moments he had been sharing with friends in clubs and parties across the city he calls home since his mid-teen years. The restless, urgent and kaleidoscopic sounds of EDM and bass music had spoken to him for the best part of a decade, one day he just started talking back.

"Making music is the same as DJing," he offers. "You continue along the path that leaves you most inspired. When you think too much you put limits on what is possible, the best parts are always instinctual rather than something too considered or planned out."

I have seen skrillex about 4 times prior to this event and I have to say, this was the best one yet. Every song was amazing and the venue was great.

  • It was beautiful

by ahgodighops5134134 on 10/30/11The Regency Ballroom - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Between the mothership show at the war field and the after party at the regency, I had the best night of my life, straight up and honest, not just saying it.

  • Unbelievable

    by MarkieMark1111 on 10/30/11WaMu Theater - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

This event was one of the best music events I've ever seen.. This dubstep has got to be coolest new style of electronic music out there. I was very impressed with the energy of Skrillex as he was playing and I love the green suit that reflected every movement to the alien on the projector screen. That was very captivating. I am definitely excited to see Skrillex again. Top notch performance

  • dream come true

so amazing, it really was a dream come true. Skrillex dropped the bass, I could feel it in my whole body. Never been so happy with a performance in my life. Thank you skrillex <3

  • THE BEST AFTERPARTY I'VE EVER BEEN TO

by WallyPerez1 on 10/30/11The Regency Ballroom - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Best show i have ever been to. All it took was his art. Skrillex and 12th planet killed it! Go if you can! He is way different than any artist i have ever seen!

  • Crazy good time

by Nejad on 10/30/11The Warfield - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Skrillex was amazing! He's a great performer, and his visuals are unmatched by anyone I've ever seen. The Warfield was a bit crowded, but I would recommend this event to any fan of dubstep.

  • BOMB

    by Sophie420 on 10/30/11The Warfield - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

this show was so nuts. I want to relive it over and over

  • MY NAME ISN'T SKRILLEX! But... I wish it was...

by wallybucko on 10/30/11The Warfield - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Skrillex dominated. Plain and simple. He artfully mixed old work with new content, making the entire experience something new. The Halloweenie Remix of Reptile metaphorically made me shit my pants, and literally made me fall over from dancing too hard in the Warfield nosebleeds. Well done sir. My only complaint? Bro... come to SF more often.

  • Cathargic 2nd Time

    by B33R on 10/30/11WaMu Theater - SeattleRating: 2 out of 5

Get tickets at the door, because they were cheaper than online. Besides the no bag check in, water bottles, and no filming on my iphone. It was pretty amazing. Saw Skillex in Atlanta, but on the west coast with the talanted glovers and ravers I met at WaMu, it was cathargic completely. livin P.L.U.R

  • Nothing short of amazing-ness!!!!!

    by ak1984 on 10/29/11Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

Skrillex gave a show that I will NEVER forget! From start to finish, he threw it down and tore it up. Womp womp womp :)

This show was amazing. Skrillex set design and visuals were sick. Of course the music was great too.

  • Great Show!

    by Someoldguy2 on 10/28/11WaMu Theater - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Great energy, and all around fun time. The bass rumbled right through you. It was awesome!

  • Super sick

by jofus on 10/28/11WaMu Theater - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

He put on a great show. One of the best that i've seen in a while

  • too much fun

by tylur on 10/28/11Showbox SODO - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

I think he might have messed up once, but i couldn't do any better, so no judgement here. He did a great job of throwing in a bunch of different genres of music. It wasn't just the hard dub step style he made you fall in love with but a giant mix of the entire electronic genre... but there was plenty of filthy, neck breaking, dub step beats!

  • hands down

by skrillexismusic on 10/28/11WaMu Theater - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

The best concert I've ever been to. Opening was great but skrillex took it. The lights, audio, atmosphere, was all AMAZING definitely will see him again.
