About
"To be honest my vibe gets killed the most when I'm concentrating too much on what is around me and thinking too much about it all," Moore states. "I have the most fun when I let my inhibitions check out, right at that point things just start to happen."
It started to go well for Sonny when he filtered out the noise and distraction of his world as a solo artist and started mining the ephemeral moments he had been sharing with friends in clubs and parties across the city he calls home since his mid-teen years. The restless, urgent and kaleidoscopic sounds of EDM and bass music had spoken to him for the best part of a decade, one day he just started talking back.
"Making music is the same as DJing," he offers. "You continue along the path that leaves you most inspired. When you think too much you put limits on what is possible, the best parts are always instinctual rather than something too considered or planned out."

SKRILLEX is AMAAAAAAAAAAZING LIVE!!
by Beancurd on 2/6/12Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5The show was awesome, incredible, everything I hoped it would be! I can't wait to see him again!
Skrillex was awesome!
by Anonymous on 2/5/12L.A. LIVE Event Deck - Los AngelesRating: 4 out of 5The venue was awesome. I totally LOVE the revolving stage. they should do that for all concerts. Overall the feel, music, and the experience was great. First concert with the boyfriend and it was one for the books. =)

Another great Skrillex show, seen him twice and both times were amazing.

Although the wait seemed to be ridiculously long to get it I ended up front and center and had an amazing time.
Biggest Disappointment!
by drhiroshi on 2/2/12L.A. LIVE Event Deck - Los AngelesRating: 1 out of 5We knew the event started at 6:30PM and nowhere did it say what time it ended. We assumed at least till 12AM or 2AM. We got there at 8:30PM and finally got through the security and lines at 9:30PM. We caught Skrillex (the only good thing about this review) =) and an hour and a half later the lights came on and everyone was told to leave??? We were like, It's over? No way! That's impossible! NOOOOO!!! As we were walking out with the crowd we asked a dozen of groups and they all said the same thing, "We thought it was going to end later than that!"
Great concert but sound was problematic
by cannej on 2/1/12L.A. LIVE Event Deck - Los AngelesRating: 4 out of 5While the crowd wasn't as into Dada Life and Benga as they would have been in some other cities in the world, they went pretty crazy for Skrillex, who was great. At first I was close to the stage, but then I realized the sound was TERRIBLE as there were no speakers on or near the stage and the ones hanging faced away from the stage so that those under them couldn't hear any treble at all. I moved back about 30 feet and then it was much better and I danced my face off. LA Live Event Deck needs to remedy this sound issue for future concerts. Otherwise things were well managed, though the security was intense. The spinning stage was good. Great show love you Skrill!
Sick

Skrillex W/ Benga, nadastrom & Dada life
by MissAllison on 2/1/12L.A. LIVE Event Deck - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5This was the best show ever! Skrillex killed it! I would Love to go again and again!
Skrillex was Dope!
by Royalty23 on 1/31/12L.A. LIVE Event Deck - Los AngelesRating: 4 out of 5The show was Amazing, the lights, the sound the atmosphere. The only problem I had the entire night was that the staff was really unfriendly.
Why the hell did Dada Life play first
by Anonymous on 1/31/12L.A. LIVE Event Deck - Los AngelesRating: 3 out of 5I am very pissed that you guys had Dada Life play first when most the people who went wanted to see him or Skrillex so that was very poor planning for the event. I've seen Skrillex a few times now and even though he killed it I am still upset I spent 60 dollars on just Skrillex when I went mostly for Dada Life
Excellent show!
by HeyWasted on 1/31/12L.A. LIVE Event Deck - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5The line to get in was chaotic! Took an hour to get in with tickets in hand. The staging was excellent! Rotated in 360 degrees allowing the crowd to watch from any angle. So it wasn't overly crowded in one area Skrillex's performance was amazing. Definately a show worth going to!
All DJ's were great!
by ticiale on 1/31/12L.A. LIVE Event Deck - Los AngelesRating: 4 out of 5This event was a really good time. Each DJ was great in their unique way. The DJs were in the center on a platform that rotated (which was great) so no matter where you were standing you were going to have a good view. The reason I didn't give this event 5 starts was because people started going up there (DJ's friends? VIPS?) and they were sitting around the DJ. So as the platform rotated in certain areas you were only able to see the backs of these VIPs. Most weren't even paying attention. They were too busy in their conversations with each other. I also didn't like all the super heroes that came out when Skrillex played. They were just in the way too. The dancers were fine. There was a hot tub on the platform. I thought they were going to pull people up to go in. No. Instead one VIP guy was the only one that got in. I have no idea why. Jared Leto was one of these VIPs so that was pretty cool to see him. The LA Live Event Center was a good location for this. They're serious about the items that aren't allowed to be brought in. It also gets hot in that tent so dress cool and buy a water bottle inside.
SUNDAY SHOWS = NO BUENO!!
by AJ2424 on 1/31/12L.A. LIVE Event Deck - Los AngelesRating: 2 out of 5DADA LIFE!!! .... And thats about all. The showed ended at 10:45 pm. By the time it was all over I felt like it just started. Rotating stage wasn't anything amazing as well.
unbelievable!!!
by Dreamtheory on 1/31/12L.A. LIVE Event Deck - Los AngelesRating: 4 out of 5This event was amazing!! BENGA and SKRILLEX absolutely killed it!! Can't wait for both of them to come back to SoCal!! Been following skrillex for 2 years now and is hands down my favorite DJ / artist! BENGA just made it to my top 10 because of this event
yo skrill drop it hard!
by doublejoe on 1/31/12L.A. LIVE Event Deck - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5overall, the event was amazing!!!! Skrillex absolutely killed it. I would have liked to know that it ended at 11 so I could have seen Nadastrom and Dada Life. The line was a bit ridiculous too. I mean even EDC was shorter. But other than that, the venue was sick and the night was amazing!!!!!
Skrillex was entertaining and great live!
by Anonymous on 1/31/12L.A. LIVE Event Deck - Los AngelesRating: 4 out of 5I didn't give 5 stars because I didn't like the fact that it ended so early. The lineup was amazing but I missed dada life because I usually don't get in line until about 7 pm and by the time I got in I only got to see two artists. I also think the water price was way too high and that they should give caps so you don't have to worry about spilling your water while you dance. However because it was skrillex.. This will be an event I'll never forget.
Skrillex was awesome...except for the line
by HerpNDerp on 1/31/12L.A. LIVE Event Deck - Los AngelesRating: 4 out of 5All of the performers were awesome, Skrillex in particular, but it took me about an hour waiting in line to get in, which, for a GA event at a major venue in LA, is patently ridiculous.
Best night ever
by Raineee on 1/31/12L.A. LIVE Event Deck - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5Wow! Every single person who played KILLED IT!!! I was blown away!!! Those were some of the best sets I've ever seen BUT of course skrillex topped them all! The venue was set up great too. The line was long but fast moving. I do think taking our caps to the water bottles off and not letting us have them was a TAD much. They said it was cause we could throw the caps at people... Uhhhh well I could throw the bottle too so it was dumb it just made it harder to have fun worrying about splashing ppl with water. However that's my only complaint the show was out of this world!!!!!!
Epic spinning Skrillex
by Benmer on 1/31/12L.A. LIVE Event Deck - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5Every spot in the venue had a great view of Skrillex atop his rotating stage! it was an amazing time. The other Dj's were a great lead into the main event. Logistics of security need to be better. It took hours of missing the opening acts for the majority of the fans to get into the venue. By no means should the security checkpoints take that long. i was searched and metal detected numerous times... it was a waste of everyones time. The artists want thier fans in the show from when the doors open. the venue needs to facilitate that much better... no exceptions. The lighting and sounds quality were top notch. security was bottom rung.
