About

Originating from Gainesville, FL, Sister Hazel is comprised of five gifted, seasoned musicians whose well-spring of natural talent has been called "one of the Top 100 Most Influential Independent Performers of the last 15 years" by Performing Songwriter Magazine. Song "All for You" topped the adult alternative charts during the summer of 1997 and the success propelled their album to platinum status.

In their first showing on the country music charts they made a strong debut with "Lighter In The Dark" at #4 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, #6 on Billboard's Independent Albums chart, #30 on Billboard's Top Current Albums chart.

The band landed on Billboard's Top Country Albums Chart again in 2018 and 2019 with Volumes I, II, III, and IV of a clever EP compilation series titled "Elements."   In February 2018, "Water," landed on the Billboard Country Albums chart at #9 and at #2 on Billboard's Independent Albums chart along with making their debut on the most revered stage in country music, the Grand Ole Opry. In September of 2018, "Wind" landed at #1 on iTunes country page and #11 on Billboard's Independent Albums chart. In February 2019, Vol. III "Fire" landed at #5 on Billboard's Independent Albums chart and #46 Billboard's Top Country Albums Chart. The collectible compilation series ended with "Earth" which again landed at on the charts at #15 on Billboard's Americana/Folk Album chart.

Living up to their fan-centered reputation, the band hosts annual events like "Hazelnut Hang," that focuses on fan involvement and was a pioneer in themed cruise experiences by co-founding "The Rock Boat," a cruise featuring nonstop opportunities for fan/artist interaction. Sister Hazel has been equally attentive to connecting with their audience through social media. They have since made their Grand Ole Opry debut and shared the stages with country music superstars at The CMA Festival, Tortuga Music Festival, among others. In addition to the events and touring, the band also gives back with "Lyrics For Life." Founded by singer Ken Block and the Band, the charity unites musicians and celebrities for concerts and auctions to benefit cancer research and patient-care charities.

The event was not marketed well at all

by MikeB on 10/23/22Harang Auditorium formerly Thibodaux Civic Center - Thibodaux

No one was there. Everyone was front row. Most people I’ve talked to had no idea there was a major band (Spin Doctors) playing in town. Only that there was an event called Save The 90’s, but had little details describing what it meant. The marketing looked like Hannah Montana was coming yo town. Sister Hazel should rehearse, they were decent cover band level entertainment at best. Hope they didn’t spend too much money on them. Spin Doctors, on the other hand, put on one hell of a show. That let us in the Green Room to meet the band and take photos. They were amazing. Next time a major act is coming to a small town, ADVERTISE AGGRESSIVELY. This is a college town and you can fill the place if you let us know. Do better.

by Salena on 10/17/22The Amp at Dant Crossing - Gethsemane

This is the 8th time we’ve seen Sister Hazel. The sound quality and harmonizing wasn’t as good as previous shows but we still had a great time! Ken sounded like he might have bee sick?

    Sister Hazel in Savannah

by Sassue on 5/15/22District Live - Savannah

The venue was just large enough to fit everyone, but small enough to have an intimate experience. The lights and sound systems were amazing. The opening band, Individually Twisted, did a fantastic job of getting the crowd ready for the main event. Their vocals and performance of some classic rock songs had everyone at least tapping and clapping. Sister Hazel was phenomenal. Their lyrics reach depths that mere words can't express. Their banter is always enjoyable and the way they perform as a unit is remarkable. Great show, great venue...and I was fortunate enough to run into Ken Block at a local restaurant. He was pleasant, gracious, and patient (thanks for helping me taking a pic). Can't wait to experience Sister Hazel again soon.

    Surprised by catalog depth

by Walter on 5/15/22District Live - Savannah

I'm 30 years late to Sister Hazel. I remember "All for You" but confess that was it. Having just moved to Savannah, I was looking for a live music experience and the District Live theater, part of the new power plant development on River Street was hosting Sister Hazel for a very affordable general admission price. I played some of their music from Apple Music to get familiar with the rest of the catalog and found they had a great sound to them. The venue is easy to get to and near much of the tourist area. It is relatively small. It was configured as standing only but in talking to the bartender, he said they do put in seats for other shows. It was a small, but enthusiastic crowd of maybe 200 our

Sister Hazel was amazing! They sounded as good as they ever did! Venue was ok but it would have been better if they would have had some seating vs. standing only.

by Cameron Lackey on 5/10/22Avondale Brewing Co. - Birmingham

Sister Hazel put on an excellent show. I have seen them many times, but this was my first time at Avondale Brewing. Beautiful venue for a show like this...only second to the times I have seen Sister Hazel at Lake Martin Amphitheater.

Sister Hazel Rocked the Queen Theater!

by Sara Pinsky on 3/1/22The Queen - Wilmington

The Sister Hazel concert at the Queen Theater in Wilmington, DE was awesome! They did so many of my favorite songs, and their energy was infectious. It was my first time using my phone for digital tickets, and it worked out very well. The folks working there were very helpful. We had excellent seats on the second row, and had a great view of the stage. We couldn't find parking on the street, but discovered a parking garage right around the corner from the venue, so that was very convenient. If I could go see Sister Hazel again tomorrow, I would! They put on a fantastic show, and I highly recommend everyone to go see them if you have the opportunity.

    HOB Concert and Brunch

by Scott on 2/23/22House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

Great weekend once again with Sister Hazel. They never disappoint when they play. The concert Saturday night was great playing all of their hits. Sunday was the HOB brunch with the guys doing an informal acoustic show with plenty of interaction with the crowd. Would definitely attend this event again!

    Too much chatting

by Margo on 2/23/22House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

My first time seeing this band and it was an odd experience. They sat on stage and mostly chatted about what they should play. When they weren’t chatting, they sat in silence mulling over their song options. I felt like I paid to be at a rehearsal. They have quite a following so their die-hard fans did not seem to mind the banter but for me I came to hear their music. Maybe they played 10 songs in two hours.

by Mike on 2/22/22House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

Great venue and an amazing Band. Outside of the fact that House of Blues up charges for any view point, it was a nice place to watch this band. Sister Hazel killed it as always!!! Amazing band and amazing energy!

    Clown World Rules

by Not happy on 10/25/21House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

I was fine with providing my vaccination card for entry. Safety precautions. I get it. Then I buy a beer and head down to the floor. I am then denied entry to the floor because I had an open drink. There was no mask requirement on the floor and no one had a mask on, just no open containers allowed. Everyone ended up crowded around the bar talking. Halfway through the show I left out of frustration. I will not be back to House of Blues until this pointless rule is lifted and I wish the venue would have notified me of this rule. I would have asked for refund and skipped this event.

Faboulous show as always with Sister Hazel!

by C Gallina on 10/25/21House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

The venue was perfect and I was so thankful for all the covid safety precautions they had in place. The opening band DNA did an outstanding job. Sister Hazel had amazing stage presence and kept the energy high. Perfect performance with all the fabulous songs I love by Sister Hazel. A true class act and I look forward to seeing them again at the House of Blues Orlando.
