The band combines dark lyrics, dreamy guitars, and rhythmic beats with frontman Landon Jacobs' sincere vocals to create a unique synth-rock sound all their own. Whether they're hammering out fan favorites like "Gold" or performing an acoustic rendition of the striking track "Easy Now", Sir Sly knows how to captivate audiences during their arresting live shows. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Indie newcomers Sir Sly were a mystery when they first released their material on Hype Machine in 2012, but after their songs launched to No. 1 on the popular site the band revealed their identity to their eager fans. They debuted their 2013 EP Gold to much acclaim and earned a devoted following on tours alongside St. Lucia and the 1975. Amazing! The band is so into it and gives off such a great vibe it’s infectious! Great performers! Hope they are back soon and everyone should go!
These guys are talented and I'm surprised more people don't know about them. The show in Houston was sold out, so things are probably on the move up now. Their songs have a sonic, emotional aspect to them and they put all their energy into performing. You just mind find yourself crying during the show.
Sir Sly at the Shelter was a great show! Sounded great, played all the hits, great atmosphere. The opening band In the valley below was also a great surprise as I didn't even know them before. The Shelter is always a good place to see a concert. Intimate, great sounding venue. Highly recommend all of the above.
Amazing venue. Amazing show. Sir Sly was very high energy and all music played was incredible.
Blown away by the headliner, and by how much soul was put into the show by Sir Sly. I laughed, cried and had the time of my life.
Went to sir sly at the shelter. Space was great. Cozy. Sir sly rocked the place.
We got to the Shelter before the doors opened, and we ended up being 5th in line. Get there on time or early and you will get a great spot as it has small capacity. Sir Sly sold out the venue, but it was as comfortable and fun as being in general admission in a small bar could be.
Sir sly was even better than the first time - great new album, and smaller venues are the way to see these guys.
Great opening act, setlist, and venue!! Amazing live show for all ages!
I would dare say Sir Sly is better live. Landon was very friendly and approachable and despite having a bad day, put on an amazing show. To anyone who likes rock, indie, and alternative music, I recommend Sir Sly wholeheartedly.
This was the second time I've seen Sir Sly and they always put on amazing show. Their energy is amazing and everything they play sounds great live. Looking forward to the next time they'll be in town!
2nd time seeing Sir Sly and they were awesome! They always do an excellent job and sound great. Highly recommend checking them out!
I waited for a couple hours before the show in line and was front row. The opener was a band called Shaed that I never heard of before. They were really good too, they had a lot of energy and the lead singer had an amazing voice, they really got the crowd pumped up. Sir sly was absolutely amazing. The lead singer, Landon, has so much energy and emotion when he performs, even when he's playing an instrument. During their song Ghost he even climbed up into the rafters above the crowd and was singing from up there. An amazing night, please see sir sly if they come in your area. Also check out their new album, Don't You Worry Honey. I recommend High or Austronout.
Nice venue - convenient to get to and laid back atmosphere.
They blew me out of the water. Such a great stage presence and sound as well! Their music is dark and mysterious followed by a bit of pop almost every other song. Also ran into Landon, Hayden, Jason, Chase & Philippe several times around the pavilion. My second time seeing them and hopefully not my last. This band is worth your time, trust me.
the concert was great but when we met the lead singer of sir sly he was rude and made us disappointed
While the entire show was great, and secret someone's as well as Wolf Gang put on great sets, to me personally, nothin can compare to the show that Sir Sly puts on. They put so much into their performance, and They all have an unbelievable talent. They're going to be huge one day, and they deserve every last bit if it.
This show was amazing! It was a small venue, so it felt really intimate and personal. I participated in the meet and greet before the show, and it was really nice to be able to mingle with all of the band members. I had never heard of the opening band, Secret Someones, but they were really good. Overall, this concert was 10/10! I would see it again.
The Secret Someones, a new quartet out of Brooklyn, NY opened the show and blew the house away. Their unique blend of synth, power chords, dirty guitar effects, power pop and beautiful harmony were the perfect mix. This is definately a bland worth following. Sir Sly and Wolf Gang were ok too.
We saw Wolf Gang in June when they opened for Bastille. It's very rare to like the opening act as much as the headliner but we went away from this event talking more about Wolf Gang and started listening to their music. We were so excited when we found out they were coming back in September & bought tickets as soon as they were available!! Fast forward to Sept. 15th. Wolf Gang is on tour with Sir Sly and had Secret Someones opening. Not familiar at all with Secret Someones and slightly with Sir Sly we liked what we heard. They are pretty good. Then,Wolf Gang took the stage!!! By now, we know their music pretty well. Max & the guys sounded fantastic!!! They had so much energy and you can tell they love what they do. So, even if you've never heard of Wolf Gang, give them a listen! You will be so glad you did. It is three days later & we have listened to nobody but them and their songs are constantly in my head!
