SIR SLY IN CONCERT:

Sir Sly is an emerging indie rock band that's shaking up the alternative charts with their luminous 2013 breakout EP Gold. The band combines dark lyrics, dreamy guitars, and rhythmic beats with frontman Landon Jacobs' sincere vocals to create a unique synth-rock sound all their own. Whether they're hammering out fan favorites like "Gold" or performing an acoustic rendition of the striking track "Easy Now", Sir Sly knows how to captivate audiences during their arresting live shows. Although they're a three-piece, the rockers possess a full sound that demands attention, and ticket buyers can hear it come to life on their power-packed tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Indie newcomers Sir Sly were a mystery when they first released their material on Hype Machine in 2012, but after their songs launched to No. 1 on the popular site the band revealed their identity to their eager fans. They debuted their 2013 EP Gold to much acclaim and earned a devoted following on tours alongside St. Lucia and the 1975. They’ve showcased their killer tunes at SXSW, sold out headlining dates around the world, and quickly proven to be a promising new act with a knack for connecting with audiences. With a sound that’s as polished as their performances, Sir Sly have fans coming in droves to their thrilling live shows.

Great experience with Sir Sly and Joywave

by JoeCalifornia on 11/6/18Varsity Theater - Minneapolis

The mix for the opener band was far too heavy on bass, but when Sir Sly came on they were both performers and skilled stage technicians. The lead singer adjusted his own mix and we could hear him better. Sir Sly had a high energy stage show that echoed the humor of their videos and the lead vocialist/musician told his story about what music and performing has meant for him personally. Joywave followed suit with a fine stage show with super high energy, although the mix was off for the venue - sometimes the lead vocals were completely lost. If you like either of these bands you must see this concert and support these bands. Joywave wrapped up their hour with the crowd pleasing Destruction, twice through as usual. We love the Varsity Theater, though the drinks were pretty watered down for ten bucks.

Sir Sly Kills it Every Time!!

by Kt410 on 6/27/18Newport Music Hall - Columbus

This was my 6th time seeing Sir Sly live. The first time, I had no idea who they were as an opener and left that concert wanting to come to another one of THEIR shows. If it’s even possible, they get better every time! Not only is their music honest, emotional, and well performed/produced, but it’s so refreshing to see musicians that genuinely seem to love what they do and are truly appreciative of the opportunity and their fans. Their/the crowd energy is always “high” at every show. If you can go see them, DO IT!! I promise you won’t regret it, and this band deserves so much success!

Sir Sly Is on Their Way

by TeacherGal95 on 6/26/18Delmar Hall - Saint Louis

I first saw Sir Sly open for Cold War Kids at The Pageant, and really enjoyed their performance. Seeing them perform their own show was something I’m glad I got to experience. It was very high energy, and these guys really appreciate their fans and their success. Luckily, I was able to witness their performance at such an intimate venue like Delmar Hall before they get really big and are selling out shows at Hollywood Amphitheater.
