    Singing Xmas Tree well rounded.

by RudolfRedNose on 12/16/14Ovens Auditorium - Charlotte

My family really enjoyed the whole production. It gave every age group something to enjoy. From the Tree choir, the kids choir, the orchestra, the host, the dancers, the elves and the comedy from the puppets. My two children, son 16, daughter 14 to say they really enjoyed it outside of the video game realm, meant something. It always brings out the xmas spirit in us. thanks for the wonderful memory that my family will have.

A great way to get into the Christmas Spirit

by jmwvtw on 12/16/14Ovens Auditorium - Charlotte

The singing tree is so unique and entertaining. We absolutely LOVED it when the children's choir was signing with them. They were fantastic! The segment with the light and shadows was not entirely effective, at times, it was just sort of creepy.

Singing Christmas Tree For Kids was awesome!!

by FunnyGP on 12/16/14Ovens Auditorium - Charlotte

We took our three grandchildren to see this show for the first time this year. Our 3 year old granddaughter was a little bored half way through but overall she did great. Our other two grandchildren LOVE IT! The length of the show is perfect for the targeted age group. We are considering making this event a Christmas tradition. If you are looking for an activity to do with the family to kick start your Christmas fun we would recommend Singing Christmas Tree For Kids!!!

    Each year is great

by CLTCCT on 12/23/13Ovens Auditorium - Charlotte

I have attended the Singing Christmas Tree for over 20 years. This year , as always, was great. The variety of supporting acts was remarkable. The singing was beautiful. A great tradition for the Christmas season.

    Singing Christmas Tree for Kids

by Anonymous on 12/17/13Ovens Auditorium - Charlotte

Though it was beautiful and the singing and other additions were great, some of the conversations among the characters (the mice) were more adult oriented - it would have been good to have more "kid" songs, too - ALso, it was about 15 minutes late starting which makes for a long performance with little ones. Overall, lovely - but would have been better with more children's songs.

    Best Christmas Show!

    by Happy2Review on 12/17/13Ovens Auditorium - Charlotte

This was one of the best Christmas shows ever. Very professional, a variety of acts and skits, wonderful orchestra and singing, both the "tree" and the solos/quartets. Excellent! Well worth the price.

better for a 4+ year old

by Kwbarker on 12/15/12Ovens Auditorium - Charlotte

my daughter just turned three when we saw this. she needs a little maturity and the show needs a little more "kid" and fewer mature carols.

    Very nice

by Belloni on 12/13/12Ovens Auditorium - Charlotte

We didn't know what to expect, but it was nice. Thought nit would be too young for my 11 yrs. old but it was fine. Just too short. It was all of 40 min.

    Horrible

by Anonymous on 12/11/12Ovens Auditorium - Charlotte

This was a horrible production. My children ages 11,6 & 7 asked to leave 10 minutes into the show and about a 1/2 hour into it was unbearable we left . For $189 for 5 including the awful breakfast with Santa we expected MUCH more.

    Horrible

by Anonymous on 12/11/12Ovens Auditorium - Charlotte

You enter the building and feel very welcomed but thats were it ends! You get in line to get your breakfast 1 soggy Chic- fil- a sandwich for the adults 2 mini chicken sandwiches for the kids 1/2 a cup of orange juice or 1/2 cup of coffee. Santa comes out and my 6 year old leans over and said to me "Mommy, he's not the real Santa is he"? I could not lie to her because his real mustache is hanging out of the fake one. I informed her that indeed this is one of Santa's helpers! Very disappointed!!

    Disappointing....not worth a repeat

by velovixen on 12/11/12Ovens Auditorium - Charlotte

Very disappointing considering the price of admission ($45). Performance quality was what I would expect from a middle school or church choir. Music selection and arrangement was boring and predictable. Tonal quality of the choir was bland with no recognizable harmony from the male voices. Dance groups were not synchronized, choreography was repetitive and dancers couldn't find center stage. Festival singers were good, with exception of voice projection, which many of the singers were facing stage left or right instead of toward the audience. 'Impromptu' a cappella group was really awful: off pitch, male harmony was absent, and song choices were boring. Probably the most cheesy part of the performance were the 'puppet' polar bears. Polar bears don't hibernate, but apparently in this play they do.
