About

SILVERSTEIN IN CONCERT:

Since bursting onto the scene in 2000, Canadian post-hardcore outfit Silverstein has consistently wowed audiences with their energetic, adrenaline-filled concerts. Their setlists pull from all seven of their studio albums and feature longtime favorites "Vices", "Bleeds No More", and "Smile In Your Sleep" alongside recent singles like "Stand Amid The Roar" and "Massachusetts". Frontman Shane Told pours his heart out onstage, alternating between soft melodic croons and thunderous screamo yells. The rest of the band radiates passion, from Paul Koehler's relentless drumming to bassist Billy Hamilton's guttural growling. Silverstein’s emotionally charged renditions of their aggressive, melodic songs are sure to leave their ravenous fans begging for more.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Silverstein formed in Ontario, Canada in 2000 and released their first EP, Summer's Stellar Gaze, later that year. Since 2001 the five-piece's lineup has consisted of lead singer and keyboardist Shane Told, guitarists Paul Marc Rousseau and Josh Bradford, bassist Billy Hamilton, and drummer Paul Koehler. In 2002 the band penned a deal with Victory Records and released their debut album, When Broke Is Easily Fixed, the following year. Their sophomore release, 2005's Discovering The Waterfront, introduced faster punk rock influences and cracked the Top 40 on the Billboard 200 chart. Over the next decade they released five more studio albums, including 2013's This Is How The Wind Shifts. Silverstein excels in live performance and is known for their extensive touring -- having played in more than 40 countries at venues like The Depot and Marquee Theatre, alongside bands like Rise Against, Hawthorne Heights, The Devil Wears Prada, Blessthefall, and A Day To Remember. In 2014 they announced plans for a world tour to mark the 10th anniversary of Discovering The Waterfront, as well as a brand new studio album, I Am Alive In Everything I Touch.

    DO NOT CLIMB ON PILLARS!

by Rocknrollaholic on 8/5/10Rams Head Live! - Baltimore

First time ive been to the Rams Head and it was nice inside when we finally found the entrance. We missed Close to home but I know they would've put on a good show. next was Ivoryline who did an awesome performance after then we saw sky eats airplane who amazed me for never hearing them before. NExt was I Set My friends on fire who rocked the mic with matts awesome screaming skills despite one fan saying "they sucked" he replied Shut up f*g!!! Awesome. Next was dance gavin dance who i dont like and after taht was the Legendary WCAR! Right around the time they said we want 150 ppl in the air in less tahn 5 minutes I climbed a pillar to be seen above the crowd ensuring id be in the video which resulted in an early dismissal. I missed the bands emery and silverstien the first being the one i wanted to see more. Overall awesome show just a real dumb venue who cant just let ppl have fun....

    Silverstein was amazing!

by Timmyk08 on 8/4/10Rams Head Live! - Baltimore

This visit to Rams Head Live was my second and by far my most memorable one of the two. We Came As Romans was great, but Silverstein really made the whole night. They came back out after everyone started chanting "One more song!" They ended up playing two more songs and it was just great. Can't explain it any better than that. Just great.

    excellent show

by buconine on 4/23/10Sokol Underground - Omaha

what dwells within was pretty meh, gravecandy vampire had tons of energy and really got the crowd moving. For a new band, they were really good. Will go see them again. Kakarot was musical vomit. It was like all the band members were playing different songs. Sucks, sounds like they had some talented musicians. Macree was excellent. A little lite for my tastes but still very good. Silverstein absolutely tore the house down. The crowd never stopped moving and the band was over the top thru the entire show. Hope they come back again soon...

    Silverstein... enough said

by sirelderly on 4/22/10Sokol Underground - Omaha

Started the show early and they played amazing songs from their 4 latest albums. the opening with A Great Fire and the transition to Vices was incredible. sounded just like their albums. Shane Todd never disappointed a crowd that he won with his persona and ways of entertainment. Very generous of them to break tour with A Day to Remember for a couple days to come to Omaha and play for us at the Sokol. played ten songs, left and then did 4 requests for an encore. being able to meet them made the night that much better

    Silverstein put on great show

by Justdanielle on 4/22/10Sokol Underground - Omaha

They were awesome and so were the bands that opened for them. Sokol undergroud is one of the worst venues that I've been to, but the sound guy is pretty good so it almost makes up for the heat and cobwebs. If you like Silverstein check out Machree, they put on a show of the same caliber with a similar sound and a keyboard player :)

    Canada's Finest!

    by Shanelover6 on 4/22/10Sokol Underground - Omaha

Silverstein ALWAYS puts on a great show. This was the third time I have seen them and the second time in a smaller venue. I must say it was amazing to be in such a small venue with a lot of people who wanted to be there. The show had overall amazing quality and the crowd was awesome as well making it a night to remember!!
