SHREYA GOSHAL IN CONCERT:
Hailing from West Bengal, India, Shreya Ghoshal is one of her native country's most celebrated pop acts thanks to her pristine vocals and alluring stage presence. Performing among acrobatic dancers and wildly patterned visuals, Ghoshal's tight vibrato thrills on hits like "Bendhechi Beena Gaan Shonabo" and "Nagada Sang Dhol Song" as she dazzles in traditional Indian saris. The young songstress has an impressive vocal range, and she'll showcase her full talent -- along with a variety of Bengali favorites -- for enthused fans on her upcoming tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Indian-born playback singer Shreya Ghoshal got her start at an early age when her mother taught her how to sing and pronunciate in the Bengali style. While continuing her music education Ghoshal released her debut album Bendhechhi Beena at only 14 years old to much acclaim, which sparked her rise within the Indian music community. Since then, the singing beauty has released 16 albums in six languages, won over 70 awards, and lent her voice for countless Bollywood films -- all by the age of 30. The famed songstress is sure to sing with the passion and charisma her audiences have come to know and love as she performs her collection of hits on an upcoming tour.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"The show was awesome and Shreya really knows how to entertain."
"Shreya Ghoshal is an extremely talented singer and has accomplished a lot at a young age. She and her accompanying artists were well-prepared for the show. Her vocal range is outstanding. The accompanying dancers on stage was a good idea and they performed well."
"Shreya was amazing -- what a talented diva. Loved every moment she was on the stage...enjoyed it fully!"
the best and pleasant show i ever have attended. shreya ghoshal u r the best according to me. love u lot!
This was my first Indian music concert i attended. I had a good time with my friends. It was very easy to book the tickets through Ticketmaster and we got decent seats at a decent price.
It was excellent show. Very memorable one. Intermission singer was very good.
Shreya was excellent she gave a unbelievable performance! We also enjoyed singing by Jeffrey Iqbal! Definitely must see! Well worth the money!
Amazing !!! Beautiful voice and songs are for all ages
It could have been better organized..Also the show started late..
The concert was a big success. Success only applies to the performers. The audience was loud and moved around quite a bit, which was insensitive towards the violinist who played amazing classical fusion tunes. I was stunned after his performance! All of the performers including the band were amazing. However I thought the dancers did not match the quality of the others. Shreya I think sounds even better in person than recorded, which says a lot considering she's my favourite Bollywood singer. It is rare that singers these days even sound decent in person, and she went above and beyond that. Singing to her is like talking for people, it comes that easily. From her incredible classical singing to her more dancey singing, she doesn't stop to impress. The whole event was just a lot of fun, and something the Palace Theatre has never seen before. From the dancing audience to the emotional audience, all music lovers could find something there they enjoyed greatly. I'm sure everyone can agree that Shreya's sweet voice was among the things they loved the most.
Great event. Shreya's voice was as sweet as she has always been. The audience was completely enraptured. She made unsuccessful attempts to involve the audience, but how could someone match her versatility. After Shreya, came Atif and it was downhill from there. I had heard that his real voice is very bad, and now I have experienced it first hand. It was not clear and all muffled at times. It seemed there was a reason why Shreya and Atif never came on the stage together. The venue was ok. The seating could have been better. People kept moving from one place to another and had no consideration for others.
One of the best of bests concert I have really enjoyed. Shreya & Aatif did what audience expected. Just one request that Dual song between both ( Shreya & Aatif ) was really missing. They could have sing. Why ?
This show was amazing i love it and would definately go again
Loved Shreya and Atif! Just wish they had sang together as well! :)
The concert started out great with Shreya a very memorable concert. However, Aatif really stunk up the rest of the show. He didn't even sing, and ruined songs with his one ridiculous versions. He was a big disappointment. Thus this concert received a 4 out of 5 stars. Shreya gets 5 stars out of 5, Aatif get a -5.
Show started off a bit slow for the first 20 30 ish minutes. But soon after picked up with Shreya's amazingly beautiful voice. She connected with the audience and spoke basically on a personal basis - or so atleast it felt like. And then Atif rockkkked the stage for an unforgettable performance. A lot of improv with a lot of audience activity.
Program was good, except sound and light system was poor.
Started slow but picked up and rocked till end!! Atif show steeler
