    So clever, entertaining and funny!

by lisalisah on 8/9/10Cadillac Palace - Chicago

Shrek the Musical was wonderful! The story and the music were really great. My daughter (11 years old) and I laughed pretty much from beginning to end. There was a lot of energy, and you could tell that the cast was enjoying their performance. All of the performers did an awesome job! It was such an enjoyable show! I would definitely recommend this show!

    Shrek Musical excellent!!

by Grimwood on 8/9/10Cadillac Palace - Chicago

If you enjoy musicals or the original Shrek movie, then you will LOVE this musical! The actors, musicians, and other miscellaneous crew members (such as for lighting and helping backstage in a variety of tasks) all worked together for achieving a most spectacular performance! The costumes were phenomenally made. I would say more, but that would lead to spoilers, which I'd rather not give here.

Shrek the Musical had a plot. We really enjoyed the music. The cast was enthusiastic. We had a great time. It was for every age but there were minor swear words.

The costumes were awesome, the show was flawless and every joke that I had loved from the movie was included in the play. Just when I thought I love the show the finale blew me away!

    Not too bad

by SabrinaG on 8/9/10Cadillac Palace - Chicago

I'm a big Shrek fan and I expected a bit more. It was entertaining though and not exactly like the movie so it was nice to get some different stuff in there. Still, it could have been better. I thought it was better than Wicked but not as good as Spamalot.

Shrek the Musical is Great Family Fun!

by Educatortech on 8/9/10Cadillac Palace - Chicago

I was unsure when taking my 2 year old what to expect, but the musical was AMAZING. There is some real talent in the cast (especially Shrek). The puppets (especially the dragon) are amazing. It maintains the comedy and draw of the original Shrek movie while adding some additional elements that really add to the production. I highly recommend for anyone wanting some solid family fun to see Shrek. Word of caution - buy the Gingerbread Man puppet early in the show if you want one as it sells quickly and then your 2 year old might be disappointed as well.

    Shrek was incredible!!

    by Beckyis2 on 8/9/10Cadillac Palace - Chicago

For my birthday, I decided to make it a family day and took my 2 daughters & their husbands along with my husband and our 5 grandchildren to see Shrek. My grandchildren range in age from 3 to 14. We all LOVED it. (My 3 year old grandson took a bath and slept with his Shrek ears on when we got home.) It was great entertainment for each of us. We made wonderful memories.

    Great for the Family

by TBru on 8/9/10Cadillac Palace - Chicago

Shrek is a great show if you enjoyed the movie or have some children you want to enjoy the theater. However, if you're looking for a good date night or don't do well around children, I recommend you stay away. My wife and I love kids so we didn't mind the kicked seats and having to let our neighbors out of the row to take their small children to the bathroom, but you might.

Shrek The Musical, a great family show!

by Anonymous on 8/9/10Cadillac Palace - Chicago

It was wonderful to have a show that every age can enjoy. Took my 2 grandsons and daughter. It was a delight to see the smiles on their faces and then to hear my 37 year old daughter giggling was a blessing for a grandmother/mother! Even this grandmother thoroughly enjoyed it! There were a few cuss words.

    Shrek was awesome!!!

by Wardenann on 8/9/10Cadillac Palace - Chicago

Shrek was the best musical I have seen to date. The sets were fabulous and the actors/actresses were fantastic. Their voices were perfect and had great harmony. My kids are 3 and 5 and loved the show. The dragon was everyone's favorite part -- her voice is by far the best in the show. We are from Indiana so the time difference made it hard for my 3 year old to make it past the first part but he loved what he saw and is still talking about the dragon. There is not a bad seat in the theater but I recommend the Loge seating. We were in Row C on an aisle and had family in Row A. These are the best seats in the house if you ask me. There was no one sitting in the left or right sections of the Loge so you also had a clear view from there. There are seat pillow/cushions in the basement for the little ones if they need a boost to see. My 5 year old sat on one because she said it was comfy!!! Dress is casual and theater was cool enough you could wear a light sweater. Highly recommend anyone to see this musical!!!

    Shrek does not disappoint

    by Qcgrad75 on 8/8/10Cadillac Palace - Chicago

Take a great movie maintain the characters and the story line add some additional insight into the characters, unforgetable music, special effects and creative playwriting and you have success. Skrek the Musical was enjoyable for young and old and captured the audience from the beginning to end.
