The show was charming, witty and throughly enjoyable!!!!!
acting was very good. story line was great. sound could have been better. staff was helpful and friendly.
Cast made this an amazing experience. The set decoration was perfect and set the tone for a Holmes-esque evening. The magician was especially good in her role. It was a wonderful way to spend the evening.
The twists and turns made the story very engaging, and it held me right til the end. This was probably the most enjoyable play that I have seen in recent years.
Brilliant update...faithful to the original character and story arc...acting (especially Holmes), story, set design, costumes, use of technology, all integrated into a superlative and spell binding production. Reminded us of the long-running "Woman in Black" production in London, high praise indeed, but this was even better in terms of weaving modern issues into the story (e.g. depression, violent peace advocates, Holmes talking about his feelings for Watson, weather influencing behavior). For someone who loved watching Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce at 11:30 on Saturday nights during high school, this brought back some familiar thrills and great memories.
The play was entertaining, engaging and fairly well-acted. The Holmes character, I feel, was a bit overplayed to the point of being silly (the incessant staring up at some unknown object.) If he was supposed to be thinking or contemplating something, the gesture was simply too much, over the top and too frequent. The campy directoral twist, which I thought I would not appreciate, was, unexpectedly, well done in other instances.
This play was well done, FUN and moved along at a quick pace. If you are a true Sherlock Holmes aficionado you will be pleased by the actors portrayals of their characters, the dialog, delivery and story line. This was a most pleasant way to spend an afternoon!
The play was very engaging. The actors were convincing. The plot was solid and the ending a surprise. It's the best play I've been to in years! If you don't have tickets, get them now, as this play is not to be missed!!!
NO SHERLOCK HOLMES FAN SHOULD MISS THIS. IT HAS HUMOR, SUSPENSE, WELL ACTED AND DIRECTED. DESPITE THE REVIEW IN THE AZ REPUBLIC OF 10/25, THE PLOT MAKES SENSE AND IS BELIEVABLE.
Enjoyed the show. Very much true to the tradition, although not quite as clever as the most of the Sherlock Holmes adventures.
