About

SEVENTEEN on Tour

Are they a boy band or a small militia? Even for K-pop, a genre known for its large ensembles, SEVENTEEN's size is big: 13 full-time members vie for space on each track — and in each video. But that surfeit of talent isn't a weakness. If anything, it's made this cheerful, shambling group insanely productive and versatile. Since their 2015 debut, they've released a small tsunami of EPs and a handful of LPs, and the members have become a driving force creatively. Their biggest inspiration? The urbane but still appropriate sounds of ‘90s hip-hop and R&B. These guys swagger, but underneath that toughness, they love a good pop hook, which makes them extremely fun to see live. The band undertook their first Asian tour, Shining Diamonds, in 2016. Just a year later they were on their first world tour, Diamond Edge, followed by 2018's Ideal Cut. In 2019 they returned to the road for the Ode to You world tour.

SEVENTEEN in Concert

The group, like most K-pop boy bands, came together under the auspices of a label — in this case, Pledis Entertainment. They learned the craft of entertainment in a low-profile way over several years and, in 2015, scored a monthlong reality TV show on MBC called Seventeen Project: Debut Big Plan. Then, after a debut showcase on live TV, the group went pro, quickly launching their first EP, 17 Carat. A certain amount of creative control was baked in from the outset: on Seventeen Project, the group was subdivided into hip-hop, vocal and performance "units." The idea was that, with enough training, the group would become a self-producing outfit — writing songs, choreographing and producing. The group's deft blend of ‘90s hip-hop, R&B and pop has won them legions of fans, as well as awards, including best new artist awards from the Seoul Music Awards, Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards and Golden Disk Awards. Billboard even named them one of Music's Hottest Young Stars Under 21 in 2015.

This was the smoothest and best concert ive ever been to. The staff was polite, the venue was clean, and everything was explained well. It was easy to get around and from what i saw, the artist was treated well.

    Simply Amazing

by Phoenix on 1/13/20Prudential Center - Newark

I have been waiting for Seventeen to come back to the states for a tour. I missed them the first time they were here and as far as the east Coast we hadn’t seen them back here until this tour. The show was phenomenal! The seats were a great price, great view, and comfortable ( not that we were in them much lol). The Prudential is as always an easy venue to get to and I wish more kpop promoters would use it. They did get more strict with their bag rule, which was In my opinion a way to boost locker sales, but as always the staff were wonderful. I was so happy that they had mercy to sell but they had so few booths that it was impossible to get anything before showtime for most of us and after the show they were packed again. I would’ve purchased a light stick but they sold out so I just bought one online. I really do hope the boys come back, we were down a member, so I’d love to see them all again soon.

    Fantastic but a bit unorganized!

by Nash on 1/13/20Prudential Center - Newark

I showed up to the event a half-hour before doors opened. When I got there no one knew what line was the correct line and there was no staff outside to ask. After waiting for a half-hour at 7 (when the doors opened) a staff member came out to notify us that this was the incorrect line. We were directed to another door where we waited an hour to get into the building. The line was painfully slow. Unsure what took so long but it was a relief when we finally got out of the cold and into the venue. Other than that the night was amazing!! Seventeen was fantastic and put on a perfect show!!!

    FINALLY

    by A. C. on 10/22/19

Finally Seventeen is coming to the US for a tour that is bigger than just the most major cities. My girlfriend and I have been waiting for over two years for this opportunity, and I bet many others have as well. I am a Vernon and Soonyoung Bias and am so excited to see them, thankfully it was not $300 plus for the cheapest tickets; I was really scared things would be extremely expensive but it was not. Please support them they have such great choreography, and energy and I hope they pierce the US market with this tour and continue to come back!!!
