    Elmo's Healthy Heros was

by ShieldsMomma on 7/20/11Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

Fun for our 2 year old. We didn't sit close to the stage because we were not about to spend over $150 for 1 child and 2 adults. So glad we made that choice. We were on the top deck she sang, danced and enjoyed herself as much as she would have anywhere else. We spent about $60. Tickets were $15 for all 3 of us. Plus the service fees and taxes and the parking. Wish there was more for kids to do before and after to enjoy the entire Sesame Street group!

    Right on

by furbly on 7/19/11George M Sullivan Sports Arena - Anchorage

Took my almost 4 year old grandson. He sat through and enjoyed the entire production. I am a little hard of hearing but found the sound very easy to hear. The performance was very good and all characters perfectly animated for such bulky costumes. It was a wonderful production to see and I would recommend it to all Sesame St. fans. The ticket and seating staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. Everything seemed very well organized and staffed.

    Beat my expectations!

by akjak05 on 7/19/11George M Sullivan Sports Arena - Anchorage

I had some reservations when buying the tickets (about $135.00 for the 3 of us) for this show. I decided our son would only be 3 once and was hoping for a fun evening out. This show turned out to be AMAZING! I switched between watching the show and feeling like a kid again...to watching our son's face (mouth dropping open, cheering and dancing). The show lasted about 90 minutes (well worth the ticket price). Intermission was at a perfect timing. The cost of the balloons was ridiculous ($10.00 per ballon). We chose 4:30 pm show on Sunday (the last day) as it was the best time to work around his naps. I think if that time slot was on a Saturday...I would have been tempted to buy another set of tickets to attend again :)

    Elmo's Healthy Heroes was great!

by Jamma1 on 7/19/11George M Sullivan Sports Arena - Anchorage

I bought the tickets for my son and daughter-in-law so they could take my grandson to the Sesame Street Live show. My grandson is 19 months old and watches Sesame Street on TV. I personally did not attend. However, I watched the videos my son took of my grandson going into the show and during the show. They said he was completely and totally absorbed in the show during the entire program. He loves music and dancing as well as working with letters and numbers. During the show he was in the front row of the 1st level above the floor, so a bar railing was in front of him. My son said he was on his feet the entire show dancing and waving his arms and participating in the music, etc. They said he never sat down, but intently watched and participated with everything the characters did. The videos they showed me documented his total absorption in the program. He just had an amazing time and was just exhausted afterwards. It was the best thing ever and he just loved it. He's still talking about it, 3 days later. I almost didn't get them the tickets and I'm so happy that I did. It was a wonderful time for all of them.

    Memorable experience

by Anonymous on 7/19/11George M Sullivan Sports Arena - Anchorage

Perhaps the best choreography I have seen. Spend the extra money to meet the characters. An experience, I'm sure, my grand-daughter will remember for a long time. Bring extra money, because you WILL buy the memorabilia.

The show was super cute. The staff was nice except for hhe popcorn lady. She was a grump. My only issue was all the way overpriced items inside facility.

    Magic for the little ones

by Invictika on 7/19/11George M Sullivan Sports Arena - Anchorage

Good show for the young ones. The price I paid for the "Sunny Day Pass" is high and so are the Marketed Items for kids. However, being able to be in the front row my kids got to hug/high-five the characters, so it worked out.

    Very Entertaining

by Anonymous on 7/19/11George M Sullivan Sports Arena - Anchorage

I loved it, and would highly recommend it. I do think that 1 1/2 hours is a bit long for children. The kids were getting a bit loud and antsie throughout the last 1/2 hour. But well worth the money.

    Fun, BUT...

by 36542 on 7/19/11George M Sullivan Sports Arena - Anchorage

Show beginning at 7 was a little on the late side for our family. Thought the sound quality was crappy- couldn't understand half of what they were saying. At $16.50 the show was affordable (we thought) but when all was saud and done it was over $70 for my husband and I to take our toddler to the show. Also, $10 for an Elmo balloon is robbery. We won't be going again if the sound quality is this bad and fees (plus $6 for parking!!!) add over $30 extra to the price. It had great potential. Seeing our little guy light up when his favorite characters came out was almost priceless. Almost.

    Kept the Kids Entertained

by Grammaya on 7/19/11George M Sullivan Sports Arena - Anchorage

Amazing that a show can be that great with "boring" health messages, but Sesame Street did it right. It had a plot that tied together all the messages in the end. There was always action on the stage and some audience involvement to exercise the youngsters. The stage was always colorful with detailed sets.

    Sesame Street

by 6kids on 7/18/11George M Sullivan Sports Arena - Anchorage

The actual show of Sesame Street Live was amazing. Healthy habits were taught and reinforced. My kids loved seeing their favorite characters in the "fur". My only complaint was the exploitation of the kids when the vendors brought out a bouquet of helium Elmo balloons during intermission and then charged $10.00 a piece!!! The intermission occurred just before Elmo "saved Elmo's world" and so the kids were supercharged with Elmo fever and then to have the balloons brought out just about sent them over the top. Since the price wasn't advertised AT ALL we figured we would just get one or two for a $5/each tops (especially since we'd just spent over $400.00 just to get the entire family into the show). How do you take your kid up to get a balloon and then deny them it when, after it is handed off, you find out the price? Although this is effective merchandising, I think it is very poor taste. If you go to the show, make sure you prep your kids or be prepared for these kinds of surprises.

    Sesame Street Live

by Buttercups07 on 7/18/11George M Sullivan Sports Arena - Anchorage

My 4 year old enjoyed the show. She thought it was awesome. The last time Sesame Street Live was in Anchorage, they did the same exact show. If they come again sometimes in the futire, I hope they play a different show.

    Great family show!

by SC82 on 7/18/11George M Sullivan Sports Arena - Anchorage

I took my nephew to this and he absolutely loved it! The only thing I would change is for people that purchase sunny seats, let them know the characters they will be getting pictures with. We had Bert and Ernie and my nephew was not impressed. He ended up not wanting his picture with them because he was waiting for big bird or Elmo or Grover. Had I known it was Bert and Ernie, I probably would have passed on the photo opportunity. Overall, great show!!

    Great first show for kids

by Toteair on 7/18/11George M Sullivan Sports Arena - Anchorage

I took my daughter who will be 3 in a couple months. This was her first show of any sort. She was amazed by seeing all her favorite characters "live" and sat well through the show. The songs and dancing were fun and most kids didn't start getting restless in their seats until the last 5 or 10 minutes.

    Elmo's Healthy Heroes

by AlaskanMeg on 7/18/11George M Sullivan Sports Arena - Anchorage

Overall the show was good and my kids (ages 4 & 1 1/2) loved the show. However, it would have been nice for the show to go through without taking intermission. My 1 1/2 year old was ready to go 10-15 minutes before the show ended, which would have been perfect timing without a break.

    Loved it

by redelmo on 7/18/11George M Sullivan Sports Arena - Anchorage

My daughter loved watching Elmo and his friends, since she was able to dance around and clap her hands when they played the music. I would recommend going to see this show with your young ones, or with relatives.
