    Good fun for the kids

    by mom2ZachaRyan on 7/13/09Tacoma Dome - Tacoma

I took my two boys aged 21 mo and 4 1/2 to this show. It was the 2nd Elmo show for my older son. Both boys really enjoyed all the songs and seeing their Sesame Street friends big and in person. There was a lot of dancing and smiles. It wasn't one of those shows that you suffer through for your kids sake. It was a very cute story line and enjoyable for adults also. (at least for this adult)

    Colorful with a Green Theme

by VenturaMomofTwo on 7/13/09Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

Our six-year-old and two-year-old were both enthralled, seeing their favorite characters dancing and singing, surrounded by flowers, bees, beetles, and the ladybug string band. The sets were colorful and amazing, and we loved the "green" theme, which fit right in with the recycle/reuse unit our daughter's first-grade teacher did this year.

    Disappointed with Sesame Street Live

by ldstwinmom on 7/13/09Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

I took my 21/2 year old son to see the matinee show of Elmo's Green Thumb. He loves Sesame Street and Elmo's World, so I thought he would enjoy the show. He seemed to enjoy the show, but there was no interaction of the characters with the audience. The music was all 80's music redone with different words, very disappointing, unengaging, and unoriginal. I have been to other shows that were much more engaging with the audience. Even the short live muscial numbers at the El Capitan Theater (Disney) in Hollywood are more original and engaging then this Sesame Street production. I was very disappointed. I was waiting for the show to end and my son had a hard time staying engaged in the show.

    Sesame Street LIve Elmo's Greenthumb

by sethsmomper on 7/13/09Tacoma Dome - Tacoma

The show flew by. I took my son when he was 2 1/2 and again when he was 3 1/2. The songs were fun for kids and adults. The characters were fun, positive, and kept kids' attention.

    Dancing in the Aisles

by JaydeeJayEm on 7/13/09Tacoma Dome - Tacoma

The girls absolutely loved it. Would have been better if there was more room for the kids to get up and move when the songs were being sung. Great overall performance!!

Elmo's Green Thumb Gets a Big Thumbs Up!

by Liesl on 7/13/09Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

My husband and I took our toddler to see the new Elmo Live Show in May. She loved it! We thought it was a very entertaining show to hold her attention for an hour and a half. We would love to take her again to see Elmo next year.

    Elmo's Green Thumb was great!

by Diddies on 7/13/09Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

We love all of the Elmo shows - Elmo Makes Music, When Elmo Grows Up, and now Elmo's Green Thumb. The shows are entertaining for both kids and adults. I am always impressed by the choreography and the fact that the characters dance constantly! It's great to watch. There is never a dull moment in the show or a moment when you get bored. The Elmo shows have captivated our attention from start to finish. We always buy the CD's afterward also - it's fun to listen to the songs in the car (over and over again!) after we've just seen the show.

    Cute but not great

by ElmolRocks on 7/12/09Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

This is the 3rd Sesame Street Live show I have been to with my 2 1/2 year old daughter Out of all of them this one the most underwhelming. It had minimal set decoration which made the show not as exciting. The story it self was way over an average toddlers head. But....if your child is an Elmo fan or Sesame fan they will not care about all that. As long as they get to see Elmo and the other characters they will be super happy.

    What a waste of time!

by HarborGrandma on 7/12/09Tacoma Dome - Tacoma

We took our three year old grandson and convinced other family members to attend with us with their children/grandchildren. They were all bored and had a lot of trouble staying focused on the show. The story line was weak and the children did not enjoy it. We would have been better off just taking them to a movie.

by lilpenguin on 7/12/09Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

This was our first Sesame Street Live show. My daughter (2 years old) really enjoyed it. The show was very entertaining with lots of singing and dancing, what every child loves! We will be back to see next year's Sesame Street Live show.

    Elmo's green thumb

by Trad on 7/12/09Tacoma Dome - Tacoma

It was cute for my 6 years old but my 2 year old was a bit overwhelmed! The intermission was too long and kids were restless during the 15 minute break. The show was really colorful and sang cute little songs. I will take my kids back but won't arrive any earlier than 10 mins before show since they had no activites to keep kids busy so can't sit in seats for too long. Show was around hour and 15 mins but with break it was about 20 mins too long.

    SSL is Toddler's Dream!

by Laura805 on 7/12/09Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

What I thought of the show doesn't appeal to me as much as what my child thought of the show. My toddler LOVED it! It was a surreal experience to watch her overflow with joy and excitment at seeing Elmo and the other Sesame Street characters.

    Elmo's Green Thumb was awesome!

by Ebby on 7/12/09Tacoma Dome - Tacoma

My sister and I take my young niece every year and it just keeps getting better & better every year. I encourage anyone who has a child in thier life, or is a child themselves at heart, to go!

    Elmo's Green Thumb, great fun!

by Cams on 7/12/09Tacoma Dome - Tacoma

The show was fun and all the kids around us really enjoyed the characters, singing and dancing. The entermission in the middle of the program was way too long. They seemed to be using the time to sell merchandise, however it made the small children loose attention. The break was nearly as long as the segment and we had to leave shortly after because the waiting period was just too long and the kids were restless. We noticed a lot of families having the same experience.

    Elmo's Green Thumb

by CaryMP on 7/12/09Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

Took my 3 and a half year old who really enjoyed it. The characters, music and set were great. The show kept my child's attention throughout. My only recommendation is that patrons with younger children should be prepared for a long show and intermission. This was something my child was not used to but handled pretty well.

    This show was OK

by cancan on 7/12/09Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

I brought my 2 boys to the show and my 2 1/2 year old lost interest after 20 minutes and we were sitting in the 8th row. I wished there was more audience participation to keep them interested. It felt very flat and 1 dimensional. I saw Sesame Street 3 years ago and my son liked it when he was 2. Last time there was more special effects and audience participation. Finally at the end of the show, the music was upbeat and my boys started dancing and loved the confetti cannon finale.

A must see for the kids !

by ElmoFan on 7/12/09Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

I have taken my 3 yr old daughter a few times to see the Sesame Street Live shows, even my 12 yr old doesnt mind sitting and watching the show. I recommend getting tickes as early and as far in advance as possible as the closer the better, especially for the little ones but the characters are big enough to get a good show either way. I enjoy the show even as an adult as it makes me feel like a kid again, Sesame Street has grown up with me as well and I feel like the people that put it together did a really good job with the costums as well as the sets that keep changing as when I take my kids I enjoy the show but even more the looks and expressions on their faces. I would recommend it to everyone.
