  • Renzo Loves Elmo

Great family show, cost was in line with the show. the Tshirts and souveniers were cut and within reason for price. the only draw back if I had to pick one, the popcorn was a lil stale but the show itself was GREAT for both adult and child and it was interactive which was great. I thought just the rigth length of time to keep the attention of even my 2 year old. LOVED IT

Sesame Street Live 2011 was a pleasant update to the old show. The kids were entertained by the characters, whereas the adults remained interested due to the choice of music.

It was an adorable show. My 5 yr old daughter loved it. Unfortunately her 2yr old brother doesn't quite have the attention span yet. Our family are big Sesame Fans.

We took our 1 yr old son to this and he was beyond thrilled! The show was great without being over the top and the seats were great and worth every penny! I would definitely recommend this to anyone with young kids it's a great outing for a reasonable price! My son loved every second without needing to understand it.

Show started right on time (important for parents and their kids). The 90 minutes was just enough elmo before my 2 year old started to tweak:) Good for the money.

All your kids' favorite Sesame Street characters appear in this high-energy show: Elmo, Grover, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Oscar, Baby Bear, Telly, Bert, Ernie, Count, Abby, Zoe, and Rosita. Although Elmo has his own "Elmo's World" scene for the big Elmo fans, I was pleasantly surprised that the whole show is not centered around him. The songs are plentiful, including the classics such as The People in Your Neighborhood, non-Sesame songs that will make adults smile, and new songs written for the show. The plot is that a new music teacher comes to Sesame Street, but her instruments have not yet arrived. So the Sesame Street gang decides to surprise her with music of their own - using objects that sound like instruments. The show runs for 1 hour and 30 minutes, including a 15-minute intermission (so really 1 hour and 15 minutes of show time). Just beware of the salespeople who know how to get the kids to beg for a $10 Elmo balloon or $8 snack. Also there are a lot of flashy and colored lights, and some kids may be sensitive to that.

  • It was ok

by whattheworld on 9/14/11BI-LO Center - GreenvilleRating: 3 out of 5

First of all the cost is ridiculous. By the time you pay for tickets, gas, your already spending alot. We got popcorn and a drink. I did not pay any attention to the drink price because I was looking to see if they had a souvenier cup for my little girl. $5.75 are you kidding me. I can buy 6 2liters for that price . Come on. The merchandise was also ridiculous. The guy beside me bought an Elmo balloon., his kid let it go and he had to buy another. 20 bucks for a balloon, no wonder people cant afford to go out with families and have a good time. Thankfully my daughter has never been one to ask for much, I would rather go to the store and buy it than pay those prices, but if she would have asked I might have gotten her something and thats how they make so much they run up the price knowing parents will feel emotionally obligated to buy and if not the kids see the parents as the bad guys. The show overall was ok, I wish there could have been a way for my daughter to dance along. She loves to dance but if I put her in the floor she could not see them so she stood in my lap. Why did I pay for her seat again. Last comment, I wanted to film it so she could watch it at home and dance, we went to bush gardens recently and saw them it was very cool and we ate while the put on a show and she got to meet them all. The had no problem with us videotaping so I dont understand why the big deal. That was in June and daily she still watches her bush gardens dvd and dances. That was worth the money.

  • Perfect for a 2 year old

by Anonymous on 9/13/11BI-LO Center - GreenvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I took my 2 year old daughter to see Elmo and she was so excited. She got out of my lap just to dance, she could not sit still. I didn't realize there was a 15 minute intermission and at that time a vendor brings out giant $10 Elmo balloons. We should have left at intermission simply because 45 minutes of Elmo was the perfect length of time. She started to get fussy during the second part. Overall, a great experience!

The show was perfect for my little one. It kept her entertained throughout and she really enjoyed when the characters would come on the floor to interact with the audience.

  • Fun with Elmo!

    by circusgoer324 on 9/13/11BI-LO Center - GreenvilleRating: 4 out of 5

We took our 2 year old son to the show and overall it was really nice. He danced and sang along for the majority of the time. I know it can be kind of tricky putting on a show that's long enough to feel you've gotten your money's worth and still be aware that kids get cranky after a while, but the overall length of the show was ok. My son, along with many other kids started getting restless towrds the end, but that's to be expected!

Taking my two-year old granddaughter to see Sesame Street Live was an unforgettable experience and the memories of her excitement and enthusiasm watching the show were priceless. My husband and I were so glad that we were able to have a show of this caliber within driving distance so we could give our granddaughter a fun and exciting time.
