Fun show, great venue

It was the tail end of the tour for Scott, and for me, i saw him the third time that weekend, and he was amazing! he is the consumate front man, his vocals were great, and his stage presence was amazing. if you haven't seen Scott, either alone or with STP, You truly are missing out on something wonderful.
The show was great. Scott sang some songs off his first solo album along with some Stone Temple Pilots. The show had a great mellow vibe that was relaxing and entertaining at the same time.
The show itself was great! This was the first time I've had a chance to see Scott sans STP& although it had a different feel than an STP concert, it was still rockin'! Scott was friendly, talkative, and looked good. He even sang a few STP favorites! But mostly he stuck to his new stuff off "Happy" which I really enjoyed. The only negative thing about the night was that we had to wait almost two hours between when the opening band finished and when Scott came out. There was no explanation as to what caused the delay, nor any apologies once the concert started. Overall I had a blast! I've been to 4 STP concerts in the last year and this solo concert definitely held it's own among the group performances.
The show was outstanding The sound was great location was great and some hot chicks were there like Sam from sam records!!!!!! The show could of been a little longer. Went to show in hollywood it was amazing i will go to all Scotts shows Dont miss any STP shows they are the bomb.
No matter how many times i see Scott Weiland, I just can't get enough. he is sexy, exciting and just totally rocks.... Can't wait until he plays anywhere in Cali cause I will be there...
I've seen STP years ago, and they were great. Scott Weiland by himself is definitely not STP. The music was not great at all. The performance was dull. That would explain why there were so few people there. I've seen tons of shows at the Showbox (Market) which is my favorite Seattle venue. If you have a big name like Scott Weiland and you can't sell out the Showbox, there must be a good reason. One of the worst shows I've ever been to. Keep in mind that Paolo Nutini, Pepper, and other not as well known acts have easily sold out the Showbox which only seats about 1000! In a nutshell, Scott Weiland sucked.
Concert just did not do it for me, the band members were not energized nor was Scott W. as he has been in previous performances. The guy can be just amazing up on stage, not this time. The venue's lighting and general atmosphere is very dated. They need to get with the times and update! The bands equipment and set up seemed a little weak. It was disappointing that they could not play some of the Velvet Revolver music.
Scott Weiland Band: AMAZING. They were really tight live and didn't fail to impress.
I have seen Scott many times with STP, Velvet Revoler and now solo. He has been totally waisted at previous shows and was not giving us fans the show we deserved. This show rocked, his band was awesome, he was sober and really into the crowd. His voice was primo and I would definitley see him again. One small issue, the show was too short, she should have played a few more songs!
I bought tickets for this show expecting to see something as impressive as what went down with Stone Temple Pilots at Bumbershoot 2008. Unfortunately, the only thing that was the same was Scott's tardiness! The show began so late that he only was able to perform for a little while and then the venue (The Showbox) had to shut down due to city curfew laws. Scott was mediocre at best, and seeing him in this small venue just felt awkward. He seemed "washed up" and definitely worked the crowd much better at Bumbershoot. I will not see him again live unless he's with STP -- and in a large venue.
Hearing Scott Weiland would be doing a solo show at the Showbox, I knew I wanted to go being a long time Stone Temple Pilots fan. Although I am a fan, I had lowered expectations for the show...as anything could happen. I wasn't too impressed with the STP show at Bumbershoot last year, but then I realized it was the location I was sitting in. As soon as I moved everything was perfect. The Showbox was great for the most part although they made us stand out in the thunder and downpour of rain beyond when the doors were to open. It was worth it though to get a spot near the front. The opening band, The Color Tuning were quite alright and they had a good live performance engaging with the crowd (as best as any opening act could do). Scott came on stage a bit late. I didn't keep a setlist since I could see one on the stage. They did stray from that a bit the list a bit but they did keep some of my favorites like "Mockingbird Girl" and "Barbarella" from Scott's debut cd, 12 Bar Blues. They also decided to keep some of the big STP songs like "Vasoline" and "Interstate Love Song" as well. "Interstate" was saved as the lone encore song complete with bubbles. Yes we got strobe lights AND bubbles. There was probably a song or two from Velvet Revolver days. A majority of the songs were from Scott's latest sophomore album, Happy In Galoshes. Scott's voice changed a bit since he first appeared on the music scene, and with this latest release I guess it reflects in a Dylan-esque style. Just take a listen to "Tangle With Your Mind" for example. It's an odd comparison to make, but I hear it. What I was a little surprised by was how much musical interlude there was within the songs. Scott ran over to this little machine (no idea of what it could be called) and manipulated the buttons which set off different lights on it. I don't know. Could've done without that part. I was also a bit disappointed when Scott first came out. His microphone wasn't working properly so he was barely audible even up close. They worked on it during the song which just basically ruined it with all of the feedback. Overall if you're a big fan of the Stone Temple Pilots or Scott Weiland for that matter I think you'll be pleased with the selection of songs and performance in a more intimate club tour rather than large scale arenas.
The boy still has it after all these years. STP wouldn't exist without this frontman. As a solo artist Scott shines. The set was genuine and heartfelt
even though it started late his performance made up for it!!! a combination of his own and STP songs made it a night to remember
I was very excited to see Weiland in such a small venue as I have seen STP many times in arena size shows. The opening band "The Color Turning" was a great suprise. I bought both their cds at the show. After they left the stage a projector then displayed a cheesy "text Scott" ad on the back wall of the stage. I was very sad to see such a shameless plug for another 99 cents out of each of us. Although the chance of winning "a candle burned in Scott's studio" may have tempted some, I just wasnt feeling it. How far has such a great musician sunk to use such tactics? I hope it was his managers idea, so I can hold on to some respect to our fallen hero. After thirty or so minutes of standing watching this display in nearly empty club Scott and his band came out and kind of forced through some very low energy tunes. Audio was amature at best and song selection was weak. At least the five we stood there in horror through.
disappointing show - scott wasnt quite there mentally, life goes on - to a better stop next time.
show was great. they played quite a few STP songs. I would have rather heard more of his solo songs but was great
I was interested in seeing how Scott fared on his own, especially since his performance at Bumbershoot was really good. However, the highlight of the evening was the fact that he was less than 15 minutes late appearing on stage and things went downhill from there. He didn't seem to know the playlist or didn't want to follow it. He was more interested in dancing and swaying to the music than singing and his guitar and bass players stepped in repeatedly to get things back on track.
My buddy said this would not be a show I would appreciate and he was right. There were no more than 100 peeps there. I feel sorry for Scott
