Fans of STP and Velvet Revolver will hate this.

by SBobcat on 11/27/12Keswick Theatre - Glenside

If you are a fan of Scott you will probably enjoy this show. If you are fan of STP or Velvet Revolver, you should avoid this show as you will be sorely disappointed. Most of the set was pretty self-indulgent (apparently he showed up a few minutes prior to when he was suppose to go on, at least according to the couple in front of us who saw him), and really was poor lyrically - lots of repetition. His backing band (which I think were members of Pfish) were good, but it just wasn't rock music. He did some more familiar stuff towards the end of his set, but he changed it so it was hardly recognizable. He only did one encore song (Vaseline) and then promptly left. The audience was more entertaining at times than Scott. While its good to see him clean, he is just a self-indulgent performer and not really interested in performing for the audience that came to see him. But it goes back to what I said, if you are a fan of Scott you probably loved the show.

Scott Weiland did not disappoint !

by Mommazim on 11/27/12Keswick Theatre - Glenside

Scott was awesome as always. He did a whole new set for the show. I think some concert goers were disappointed that he didn't do STP music but I was not one of them. If you like Scott you like him no matter what he does ! Amazing vocals and puts on an incredibly awesome show !!!

    THE WORST SHOW EVER

by Yimi on 11/27/12Keswick Theatre - Glenside

This was probably the worst show i was ever at. To even take time out of my day to write this review is claim to how devoted i am to let anyone fortunate to read this not to waste your TIME OR MONEY on seeing poor ole Scotty. Terrible set list, back-up band was lame, and his vocal were sub-par.

if he comes your way GO!!!!

by KITKA on 11/27/12Keswick Theatre - Glenside

I have seen Scott many times with both STP and with the band he tours with on solo projects . I can honestly say this is the best I have seen him in years ! He looks healthy and looks happpy and like he"s totally digging what he's doing again - which is great to see for any Weiland fan, They played a lot of obscure STP songs and songs off of "Happy.." plus 2 very unexpectted and wonderful Janes Addiction songs . His band is top notch w/ Doug Grean on guitar , it was a fun and solid showing from Scott that nobody wanted it to end .

it's the most wonderful time of the year

by jvktr on 12/20/11The Paramount - Huntington

was very excited to see this show as it was scott from stp who i have listened to and have seen over the span of 20 years...I was thrilled on this very short tour he chose long island as one of the stops...i felt like i had to go....put on my very tacky christmas sweater vest and was ready for at the very least an originally different kind of night with a rock tinge on classic christmas songs, with fingers crossed for a couple of stp songs...that is pretty much what went down...classic christmas songs with a rock vibe and he sang she and vasoline from his stp list- the show was very cool, he was a little off at times, but I wasn't surprised. it is scott weiland after all the rock star....the venue itself made this a very intimate performance, a christmas tree on stage and a violin and horn sec tion....wish it went on longer as it seemed he was just getting into when it was over....

best of times, worst of times ..

by whyland on 12/18/11The Paramount - Huntington

The concept was genius. Several carols were done better than bublé or that wuss Groban would do. Then there were train wrecks and a flub in his own song. His voice was in good shape considering The musicians hired were phenomenal, the arrangements were great. Why would someone like Scott Weiland w one of the best rock voices do a show less than an hour? The open act could not get a mix right and he really should've had a bigger set an used those talents in awesome arrangements of stp songs. I wouldn't have cared if he used a freaking prompter but to cut a show so short and left us hanging with no encore.

    Scott Weiland's Holiday Show

    by Lisa516 on 12/18/11The Paramount - Huntington

I thought this show was great. While it's strange to think of Scott Weiland as a Christmas song crooner, he did a great job singing and working the stage. As a great unexpected surprise, he threw in some STP songs! He was pleasant with the audience and the venue was small enough so that we were front row and that made it an amazing experience in itself. Doors were supposed to open at 6 but they didn't let us in then- we came back at 6:37 and they still weren't open- we walked around at came back after 7 and doors were finally open. Not a big crowd so we were able to stand front and center!

by karlminc on 12/18/11The Paramount - Huntington

scott is about as good as it gets when u r talking about talented rock singers. However, it was clear that the band did not rehearse very much before taking the stage between tempo problems and forgotten lyrics they needed to spend a lot more time practicing

    Memorable but lacking...

by ConcertPilot on 12/9/11El Rey Theatre - Los Angeles

My gf and I saw Scott with STP in San Diego a while back. The band gave an amazing performance. When we heard Scott was doing a solo xmas tour, we seized the opportunity and the tickets. We both really like his solo stuff and thought seeing him on a solo tour would be an equally amazing experience. As the title suggests, this concert will definitely be one we remember but for all the wrong reasons. Doors opened at 8pm, Scott took the stage at just before 11pm; with no opening band, the audience was restless, confused, and bored. All could have been, wanted to be, forgiven but the mishaps and weirdness kept coming. Scott, seemingly drunk, forgot lyrics and forgot song parts. He would pause in between songs and begin thoughts (good thoughts by the way, support for troops, family, unity, etc.) that would end in awkward silences/pauses; good thing the band moved things along. There were some highlights however, Scott and the band sounded awesome performing Vasoline and Killing Me Sweetly. Nevertheless, by the end of the night we were left feeling sorry and concerned for Scott, hope he turns it around. I'll end on a positive note by saying the stage was beautifully set up and the musicians backing Scott were amazing. The musicianship, the talent, and the music is there; if Scott could only manage to show up, this tour would definitely be one to see.

scott weiland your watch is two hours slow

by rooster69 on 12/9/11El Rey Theatre - Los Angeles

I have gone to alot of shows in my lifetime but this show by far was the worst. doors opened at 7:30 and scott was spose to be on by 9:00 everyone waited and waited for scott to show up. the el ray staff had no clue on the start time eather. Its really sad when a artist such as scott really does not care for his fans anymore. I can understand one hour late but two hours then rush though a 12 song set that was so bad///// come on scott.//// your fans deserve more from you. I can tell you on this night you lost alot of fans you better get your ego in check before you are a opening act for carrot top in vegas,

I didnt know it was Scott Weiland Karaoke Night

by Almostgone on 5/20/11Gramercy Theatre - New York

Where to begin, waited three hours for him, then he played covers all night. I wasnt expecting him to play any STP songs but at least some solo stuff....Nothing. Doors opened at 7. And in true Weiland fashion he didn't go on until 1130pm. As a fan of his for years, I expected better. Trully a disappointment...

no matter what his condition, & i've seen him since "core", he is a true professional a true artist a tru rock'n'roller. whether he's doing STP or VR or his own stuff & his solo stuff is amazing, the floyd covers & cheap trick, GNR he never, EVER disappoints! if you don't see this guy, its at yer own peril. if you want a great evening of hit after hit, scott is the man.

OMG!!! Scott rocks!!! With STP or without Scott is a great performer! I am so glad that he performed @ Ventura Theatre as it is a great lay out for great bands like this. The acoustics are great and I love Scott's little strut. He and the band were AWESOME!!!

Very excited! and left after 6 songs

by MReeves on 7/15/09Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Was on vacation in vancouver, and 3was two blacks away from the event. He came out and lost a very energetic crowd very early. when the crowd lost interst, it turned to something more entertaining, a fist fight! and turned sideways to watch instead of the stage. Scott didnt notice. ANd when the fight was over, so was the entertainment.
