Was much better than the re views that I have read! Good show and a good time.
I hope Scott continues to create and perform awesome music as he's been doing for the past 20yrs. I can't wait to see him again.!
The whole entire show was great. Scott rocks! Please let me know anytime he comes to town.
All rock fans know the story behind Scott Weiland. He started with Stone Temple Pilots. Wrote some of the best rock songs ever. Had a falling out with the band and formed Velvet Revolver. Wrote two more amazing albums. Not to mention his solo stuff is great. Yes he has a drug problem. Yes some of his shows are shaky. But this guy is one of the best singer/songwriter/frontman of all time. Go see him!
I love Scott , he's one of the greatest musician alive. STP is not STP without Scott. I don't understand all the criticism about his performace , the man delivered and he performed awesome as always.
I've seen Scott a few times and he always brings the house down!!! He's one of the most talented musician alive, I hope that he comes back again.
I loved Stone Temple Pilots and even loved Scott singing with Velvet Revolver, but this concert was horrible. He didn't know the words to his own songs and basically had a breakdown of some sorts right on the stage. It was awful to watch, so much so that we left before the show was over. The opening act was the best part of the night. Sorely disappointed.
Scott Weiland was awesome! The opening acts were great too. The only issue was that between each act, we had to wait 30 minutes plus. Doors opened at 7. 1st act was on at 8:00 ir so and played for 30 mins. When they finished we had to wait another 30 mins for te 2nd act. Then they played for about 30 mins. Again we waited 30 more minutes for the main show. We almost left because we were so sick of waiting. Glad we stayed though bc the show was great!
TWO opening bands! Afterwards, Scott "performed" for an hour and 15 min with much of that being him fidgeting with equipment. For a tour touting that he would perform songs from the 1st two albums, which total 23 to choose from, covers of Jane's Addiction and The Doors weren't necessary, but were performed. The band was not in synch with his singing and the sound quality was bad that you didn't recognize some of the songs until he got to the chorus. The look on most of the audience faces told the same story. Many people asked for refunds. I will NEVER see him again unless the original group gets back together. In fact, I should've opted to see STP with the new lead singer from Linkin Park instead of attending this debacle.
Scott Weiland never fails to amaze me. I've seen STP many times. The band he is with now is a poor imitation. However, Weiland was fantastic.
He was extremely inebriated the entire concert. the music sounded good though.
I too was a bit concerned about the concert after reading a lot of negative reviews, but was quite surprised by the results. If you've seen STP before you know how Scott performs onstage, Scott was Scott ! There were times when he seemed under the influence and other times in complete control. His voice sounded fine to me. No his band is not the Deleo brothers but they did an admirable job. GO SEE THE SHOW !!! His setlist included a couple of covers from David Bowie and The Doors, I would have liked to have heard a few more songs from Core and Purple albums, but you never get to hear everything you want and the STP songs he performed rocked. We saw him at a small venue and the place was packed and he definitely acknowledged the crowd on a number of occasions. SEE THE SHOW !!!
The show was amazing! I've seen STP before- at a large arena- and nothing could beat this more "up close and personal" intimate setting! Scott Weiland came out on stage on time and performed very well! He was exciting to watch and I can honestly say, I was disappointed when it was over! I had heard so many not so great reviews- and on that night- none of them were true!
I thought Scott rocked it! I thought the band left alot to be desired. He played all STP plus some Bowie, Janes Addiction and the Doors. He is a showman. That hasn't changed. Just so sad to see him in this small venue with a mediocre band when he used to sell out whole arenas. Worth the $ if you are a fan.
Came on way late (big surprise) after having 2 opening bands instead of 2. Setlist was only 13 songs long and since the tour was titled "Purple at the Core" I expected it to be littered with songs from those two albums including the hits.. Got 3 tracks from Core but no Sex Type Thing, Creep or Plush. Got 5 tracks from Purple but no Interstate Love Song. He mixed in a couple of solo tracks along with 4 covers. Nothing from Tiny Music at all. The sound was muddy or his voice was just not on point but either way between the setlist missing his biggest hits and the sound quality it was not enjoyable. I'd give him a skip and see the new STP - at least they will sound good and play the songs you want to hear.
Scott and the band were on point!!!! As advertised.
The doors opensed at 7 p.m. but Scott didn't go on until 10:30. We left before then after getting tired of standing around an being blasted with noise from the opening bands we didn't even know were going to play that evening. Waste of money. I never got to see Scott play.
I got pissed of because the Title of the concert was "Scott Vineland featuring the hits from the classic albuns Purple and Core" but he did not play the 2 most famous songs; Creep; Plush. Besides that he played only 70 minutes that I consider a short movie. He also played two cover songs.
Played a lot of early STP. He sounded great, and his new band did a superb job. Awesome!!
Scott looked good and was all over the stage but "Purple to the Core" made me believe it was going to be the hits from the first two albums. We were disappointed that he didn't do Sex Type Thing, Creep, etc etc. The Wildabouts were neither wild nor were they all about the stage. Just stood around. Also seemed like a short show. We thoroughly enjoyed the opening act, The Last Internationale.
