SCORPIONS IN CONCERT:
German band Scorpions has been electrifying audiences since the early '70s with their signature hard-rocking melodic metal and power ballads. With the 2010 release of their 17th studio album Sting in the Tail, the band proved that age had far but mellowed them, kicking off another high-energy tour that has fans eagerly awaiting the chance to see them in 2014.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"What a blistering, incredible and energetic concert the Scorpions put on tonight at American Airlines Center. Wailing guitar riffs and solos, thundering rhythms, and of course Klaus Meine's signature, crystal clear, high tenor voice soaring across the arena…Tonight the teenage boy in me returned for one last concert with my favorite band ever."
"The Scorps sounded AWESOME and the energy was AWESOME. They were having so much fun on stage and it showed…They were very interactive with their fans by throwing guitar picks and drumsticks whenever they had the chance!"
"This band still sounds amazing, and their body of work is awesome…They put on a great show as always and I would love to see them again!"
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Scorpions are one of the most successful European bands in music history, having sold over 100 million albums worldwide. Formed in 1969, their early hard rock albums gained attention in Europe and Japan, but it wasn’t until they dropped more radio-friendly albums like 1982's Blackout and 1984's Love At First Sting that they found international fame. Over the years the band has developed a reputation for being an outstanding live act, with Klaus Meine delivering some of the most pitch-perfect live vocals in the history of rock.
Still a great band with a lot of energy; awesome show!
I went there to really see Cinderella, since I have followed them since they came out. But I knew a few Scorpions songs and stayed to hear them. They put on a great show, to include a huge video screen behind the drummer. They showed a lot of enthusiasm and really got into the music.
Absolutely amazing! A great night of rock from a wonderful band!
So glad I finally got to the Scorpions. It was the best show I have ever seen... they are so dynamic on stage. And, they sounded great!!
High octane, kick a** show. The new songs are great and they played many of their old hits. Light show blended well with the energy. Rattak the drummer had the crowd going.
Even though there was a torrential downpour, the concert rocked.
This show is amazing show even special guest was cinderella bands really loved shows . And I hope cinderella and scorpions would love come next year pnc.
One of the last Monsters Of Rock. Reminder how the old school Rock sounds like.
The Scorpions are still putting on a powerhouse show ! They are there to entertain and not do you a favor like so many bands out there today . If they come around to the New York area again I will def. go to see the show and recommend the same to anyone who wants to see what a true rock show is all about . They put on an unbelievable performance and def. had a good time doing it ,which is what makes seeing a live band like the Scorpions a must !!!
Unbelievable energy for a band that has been around this long! Great show, great sound, enjoyed it immensely! Cinderella was a good opening act as well.
The buildup in my head was tremendous. The night perfect buddies and beers! But ..... Klaus blew out his voice first song. I gotta say - he did not run nor hide and apologized over and over. Very very professional!!! Short night (No one like you - got skipped) but I understood. Scorpions IS and will ALWAYS be one of the best bands live. Just a tough night!
Great Show Lots of Energy from Klaus and Rudolf, Rain and G20 Traffic a downer though
A great show! Cinderella was stellar in opening. Tom Keifor is a real multi-talent, taking on the steel guitar, saxophone, piano in addition to traditional front man duties and guitar playing. Scorps were full of energy from pillar to post. These guys made you enjoy it because you could tell they enjoyed it so much themselves. You couldn't wipe the smiles off of their faces. They played all the hits and some more obscure interesting selections as well.
Cinderella and The Scorpions were both great! Thanks to both bands for giving us one more chance to enjoy them live!!! I already have tickets for New Orleans and I can't wait!
The Scorpions pulled out all the stops on this tour and played their hearts out! Flawless & Loud in New Hampshire! Hope they add a Boston date before heading back across the pond! They are still ringing in our ears here!
I GREATLY ENJOYED THE SHOW. I WOULD RECOMMEND THE BAND AND THE VENUE TO OTHERS.
can not believe the concert is over. i have been going over every song in my head to remember ever image of this unbelievable rock concert. i wish the Scorpions played a few more songs from the new album. they did not talk about it being the last tour for the band. maybe it isn't. i am 50 yrs old and had my 20yr old metal head son with me. he realized what great metal bands came out of europe during the 70's b& 80's the Scorpions being one of the best. tight set for a bunch of old men. the boys can ROCK with the best of them. All my heart and love to the band for all the great ROCK. GOD BLESS THEM ALL.....ROCK AND ROLL FOREVER...PEACE AND LUV..
First off the warm up band and the weather. As 80's hair band Cinderella took the stage @ 7:45pm and started their set with second wind the clouds started to roll in and the rain was soon to fallow. The rain soaked 12 song set included the bands hits and was performed to a half full house. Cinderella sounded great and had good energy on stage but are more suited for smaller venues at this stage in their career. The Scorpions are still a main attraction and rocked the beach for a quality 90 minute set.
after all these years i didnt think they would rock like the 80's but they did and even better
Although Cinderella played and it was POURING... Scorpions came out at exactly the same moment it stopped raining! Then they had the crowd going all night long! Unforgetable.
