SCORPIONS IN CONCERT:

German band Scorpions has been electrifying audiences since the early '70s with their signature hard-rocking melodic metal and power ballads. With the 2010 release of their 17th studio album Sting in the Tail, the band proved that age had far but mellowed them, kicking off another high-energy tour that has fans eagerly awaiting the chance to see them in 2014.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"What a blistering, incredible and energetic concert the Scorpions put on tonight at American Airlines Center. Wailing guitar riffs and solos, thundering rhythms, and of course Klaus Meine's signature, crystal clear, high tenor voice soaring across the arena…Tonight the teenage boy in me returned for one last concert with my favorite band ever."

"The Scorps sounded AWESOME and the energy was AWESOME. They were having so much fun on stage and it showed…They were very interactive with their fans by throwing guitar picks and drumsticks whenever they had the chance!"

"This band still sounds amazing, and their body of work is awesome…They put on a great show as always and I would love to see them again!"

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Scorpions are one of the most successful European bands in music history, having sold over 100 million albums worldwide. Formed in 1969, their early hard rock albums gained attention in Europe and Japan, but it wasn’t until they dropped more radio-friendly albums like 1982's Blackout and 1984's Love At First Sting that they found international fame. Over the years the band has developed a reputation for being an outstanding live act, with Klaus Meine delivering some of the most pitch-perfect live vocals in the history of rock.

    by Battman34 on 7/12/10Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

This was an awesome concert. They have more energy than men half their age. The band was tight, the vocals amazing. The Scorpions are real showmen. I would pay to see them again and again.

This show ROCKED and it ROCKED HARD!

by poppaslaw on 7/12/10Mud Island Amphitheatre - Memphis

What more can you say? Rock Sugar is incredible. Super Entertainers. RATT was in superb form. And the Scorpions, one of the greatest metal bands out there. There isn't a bad seat at Mud Island Amphitheater. One of the best concerts I've seen there.

    Scorpions Rocked

by GreenBeanDaddy on 7/12/10Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

They put in a full 2 hours. They play a ton of the old stuff, and didn't play "Still Loving You," "Rhthym of Love," or "I'm Leaving You" (which was a bummer), but they can still rock the house as if it was 20 years ago. Better see them while you can. I took my 11 and 12 year olds so they could appreciate what music used to sound like. Great show, with a strong opening act (RATT).

    Scorpion still rock!

by KelvinH on 7/12/10Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

The guys have still got it, from Klaus's distinctive vocals to Rudolph's amazing guitar work. Played some new stuff and most of the past hits - the only thing they didn't play that I would have loved to hear: Still Loving You.

    Scorpions were Outstanding!

    by avsfan67 on 7/12/10Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

Ratt was a pleasant surprise! I was a fan back in the 80's never saw them live. Not bad! Scorpions were amazing as usual! Third time seeing them and no different in 2010 as they were in 1988.

Scorpions & RATT kicked total ass!

by ToyGunn on 7/12/10Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

First of all RATT IS BACK. They sounded great and really put on a great show. Their new CD is awesome and I am so glad I got to see the original lineup minus the late Robin Crosby (R.I.P.); but Carlos Cavazo of Quiet Riot fame is a perfect replacement. Warren DeMartini is justa guitar god. Stephen Pearcey sounded like he did in his prime. That said, the Scorpions blew me away. They definately shown they are one of teh elite bands in the world. I have seen Roger Waters perform "Dark Side Of The Moon" live and I've seen U2 three times live; the Scorpions were better. No freaking joke.

    Scorps Finale

    by unclewally69 on 7/12/10Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

Matthias Jabs is a Dynamo - Non-Stop. Big City Nights flashed background sceens and the word 'Nashville' all across the front. Nice to really personalize the video. The new drummer James Kottak is awesome and he is from nearby Kentucky, so that was special.

Scorpions - Best sounding concert (Incredible)

by PKRocks on 7/11/10Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

Well gang.. what a show. Probably one of my Top 5 shows in the hundreds of seen. #1 definately on the sound. I always say that most never really experience a full rock show. I mean usually the sounds is not loud enough or distorted if loud. But this show was fantastic. When I feel the drums vibrating my chest and it still sounds crystal clear you know it's a loaded rock show. Highlights were the entire band doing several songs at the end of the catwalk, some 30 ft from us. A standing ovation at the end of the catwalk in the middle of the show. They dedicated "Send Me An Angel" to the late Ronnie James Dio, one of the best songs of the night. The drummer was on a platform almost to the ceiling the entire show. No "Speedys' Coming" or "Well Burn The Sky" but an awesome version of "Holiday" and all of the classics. "Coast To Coast" was clearly the most rocking of the night. I thought at the end of the show the audience was more tired than the band. Amazing for 60 year old guys running around the stage. If you can get a chance to see them on this tour before they go back overseas I highly recommend it. It was truly one of the best true Rock Shows. This is their last World tour so be sure to see it.

I'm sorry it took 20 years to see these guys!

by downonmyluck on 7/11/10Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

I've seen almost every big name band from the 80's and 90's, but these guy's put on the best show ever. They did what every band should do, entertain the fans. I've rocked with everyone from KISS to AC/DC,from Motley Crue and Poison and the SCORPIONS blew them all away. When every member of the band goes from front and center to working all parts of the stage that's what we pay to see. If the Scorpions rocked this hard in the 80's, I don't see how they lasted this long. Klaus Meine's vocals and Rudolf and Matthias guitars scorched my soul. Herman's drums set was tremendous, and the video show really took me back years to the days of real MTV. If you get a chance, every true rock fan should get " Stung and Blackout!" I applaud Klaus and the rest of the guys for remembering RJD. Just one last line Ratt still lets it roll.

    by cmichele24 on 7/11/10Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

My first time seeing this band live, and I wish I had seen them before this, their FAREWELL, tour. Great vocals and rockin music. These guys still know how to rock even in their prime. Absolutely amazing and I wish I could see them again.

    Awesome!

by Goobis on 7/11/10Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

Still rockin! Very energetic, lead singer still sounds great! Guitars sometimes drowned out the lead, but still sounded great. One of the better concerts I have been to in recent years.

Scorpions sound as good as they did in the 80's!!!

by BOCAMS on 7/11/10Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

I have seen the Scorpions 3 times in the last 25 years, this was by far the best show yet! The sound was tight, vocals were amazing and the drum solo/video montage has to be seen to be believed! If you are a fan, and live anywhere near a tour date, GO!

    Awesome!

by TazzyRycher on 7/11/10Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

Scorpions have always been my favorite band. They never disappoint when they put on a show. Klaus did throw out too many drum sticks. It was distracting at times and they kept going to the same people so it lost it's "specialness".

    The Scorps still have it!!

by Jakesgal on 7/11/10Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

I have to say that I was extrememly pleased with the entire Scorpions set. those guys still have it and didn't lose a beat all night long. The crowd participation made the show super fun and Klaus can still belt the tunes like nobody's business. You could tell they put their all into every song and it was a very fun, high energy night of music. I was so excited to see them again, last time was 1985. They were just as amazing as they were back in the early days, if not more so!! If I could've gotten away with it, I would have followed them to the next town =) I wish they would've had a different opening act. Ratt was OK, but it seemed like they didn't really want to be there. I felt kind of bad for them, they got no love from the crowd.
