    Preschooler had fun!

by PaMom38 on 4/16/14Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric - Baltimore

Our 5 yr old enjoyed the show and it was a good production. The music was good and the story was easy for him to follow. There was some good audience interaction and the kids really seemed to like that, however I think it should have been encouraged more often. The kids really liked it when the characters asked them direct questions and they got to shout the answer. I also would have liked it if the characters made some appearances off stage, in the audience, as often happens in these types of shows. The actors were very good, singing and dancing was really top notch. There were some sound issues and it was hard to hear some lines due to acoustics. Character mics were going out sometimes and they had to switch to hand held mics. Only other complaint is very typical...the souvenirs are outrageously expensive. $15 for a scooby doo light stick. Tshirts were $25.

Not as good as I had hoped

by 93Mustang on 4/15/14Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric - Baltimore

The actress playing Dafney was totally beatiful and did a great job in that role. Kids seemed to like the show, but not enough to keep the adults entertained. Was hoping for more.

    Sound was unacceptable

by SmithJ2 on 4/15/14Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric - Baltimore

Cast was fine, but the sound for the show was awful. It was hard to understand what was being said... And it was even harder to understand the singing. Both my kids asked to leave at intermission, so I obliged (10yr old girl and 6yr old boy).

My five year old granddaughter loved the show and was able to keep track with the underlying plot. The only complaint was she thought the audio was too loud.

    Scooby doo was awesome

by Olivia27 on 4/15/14Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric - Baltimore

In the words of my 7 year old .. Scooby doo live was awesome ! She thought it was really fun and she liked shouting out GHOST everytime the ghost came on stage . As a mom I also enjoyed it .. My only wish is that the sound was a little better . I'm not sure if the microphones were turned up too loud or if the sound system wasn't checked correctly but it was a little hard to understand what they were singing and saying .

I would recommend this to people with small children. I think it was ok but not my favorite show.

    Scooby Doo Live

by Mom2127 on 4/15/14Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric - Baltimore

It was a wonderful performance. I have a special needs son who loves live shows. The story line was easy to follow. I applaud the words that were added to the screen; they were an asset. Thank you so much for making my son's dreams come true.

    Scooby-Doo

by LorraineL on 4/15/14Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric - Baltimore

It was great that Scooby Doo went on tour. Unfortunately the sound system/audio engineer was way below standard. As a professional musician I can honestly say this was a most disappointing experience from an audience member perspective. Some of the sequencing was out-of-sync, as well. We payed top dollar for, what are usually, very good seats as per sight lines and sound but it probably wouldn't have made any difference.

Like watching the TV show live

by cblue91 on 4/15/14Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric - Baltimore

This was my first time at the opera house and it was beautiful, you really couldn't have a bad seat in this place. The show was average, the actors and songs were great but it was like watching an episode of ScoobyDoo on TV. For the price I wanted more of a show bigger and better then what I got. My son liked it and said it was cool..as long as the kid is happy I'm happy.

While my son loves anything Scooby-Doo, this was rough. It is hard to know how much of it was the show and how much was the theater, because the sound was horrible. It was hard to understand many of the words. Also, the ending is bizarre. There is one "villian" unmasked, but then there is a convoluted explanation of how everyone else is involved.

Scooby-Doo Live On Stage was a Disappointment!

by Disappointedin on 4/15/14Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric - Baltimore

I selected this play because 12 years ago, around 2002, at the Hippodrome, we saw the Scooby-Doo play that came to Baltimore. That particular production was AMAZING. This play/performance was NOT so amazing. It was definitely more appealing for children 6 and under - it IS NOT a performance for adults. Where oh where is the Amazing Scooby-Doo production? Night and Day in comparison - these two productions. I'm very, very sad that I purchased tickets to this performance. 2 hours of my life I'll never get back. The sets are lame, the acoustics horrible - you could not hear anything, the story itself lame, the costumes a joke, as was the Mystery Machine. The play we saw 12 years ago had amazing sets, actors, sound was impeccable, overall a 10 with this current production a 1 at best. So I ask again - what the heck happened to the previous production???

    Scooby Doo

by MaegMaeg on 6/14/13The Peabody Daytona Beach - Daytona Beach

The musical mesmerized the 5 children I took which ranged from 4-7 years of age. It was interactive with the audience, and just all around fun to watch.

The Scooby Doo Musical was fun and most enjoyable for my granddaughter and me. The exception was the cost...very expensive and meeting the cast was not what we expected. My granddaughter wanted to meet the WHOLE CAST, and not part!!!
