Good show - kinda up and down, but fun to dance and the highs were really high... Got to go to the after show and met Jake and Babydaddy; even got a pic with each! That was the highest point! Woof!

My friend and I had a BLAST at the Scissor Sisters show at the Fox! The theatre is stunningly beautiful! We sat...well not really...we DANCED, but our seats were in the balcony! LOVED all of the songs and just thought the high energy of the band was carried through the entire show and the audience was loud and happy and just so fun! I hope they come back next year as I would love to see them again! Thank you to Jake Shears, Ana Matronic, Del Marquis and Baby Daddy.....they put on an AMAZING show!

  • Scissor Sisters rocked!

by Jgladdy on 9/14/10Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

The scissor sisters show in Oakland was the best! They are one of the most energetic bands I've ever seen. I love their brand of disco-inspired music. Also the crowd was amazing, with so many cute gay couples and smiles all around.

Such a great show!! Really high energy even though Jake Shears was sick. The new album is awesome and you can tell they love what they're doing up there. So, so good!

  • SCISSOR SISTERS -- POWERHOUSE SHOW!!!!

by gregb on 9/14/10Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

I've only seen the SCISSOR SISTERS once before at the Fillmore a number of years ago. Since then they have built a reputation in London. The new CD Night Work which apparently they are touring in support of is one of their best. Disco / dance music which has resurfaced with LADY GAGA & KYLIE MINOGUE and some others...is really what the SCISSOR SISTERS are all about. Right from the moment they walked on stage, the FOX THEATRE in Oakland turned into a party. Cheering...screaming...and dancing took over this night. Brilliant performances by JAKE & ANNA as usual. Anna whenever she took over the microphone for a few words can't help but make you laugh and enjoy yourself. Jake (as buff as ever-- how old is this guy and what is his secret?) danced his way through song after song. The show is brilliant. I am thrilled that the SCISSOR SISTERS will be OPENING for LADY GAGA in Spring 2011. ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS OF THE YEAR!!!

  • Great Party

by StealthRab on 9/14/10Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 3 out of 5

What a scene! Met a lot of people, had great seats, good vides. Sound wasn't great - not the band's fault.

  • Fun night out!!!!

by majorconcertgoer on 9/14/10Riviera Theatre - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was GREAT!!!. Very high energy and the crowd was totally getting in it as much as Scissor Sisters were..Saw them years ago and loved them then and loved them even more now!!! Usually love the venue they played at, but this time the only negative thing about the show was that it was 1000degrees in the venue and made for a very hot/humid night of dancing to the Scissor Sisters.

  • Scissor Sisters rocked the house

by garwain on 9/14/10Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

This was a great performance with no lip syncing. Totally entertaining. Almost everyone was out of their seat in the balcony. And the sound system was excellent in the Fox Theater. The band was fantastic. The opening act was a bit luke warm but pleasant. Good voice with songs that reminded me of the Pet Shop Boys.

  • Fantastic show

by oliverv on 9/14/10Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

Scissor Sisters did not disappoint. I have all their albums, and had watched concert footage from London, but this was my first time at a Scissor Sisters concert. Very high energy from the group and the audience. Played all favorites and new songs. I was in front of stage, so not sure how the acoustic was. Effects (light and laser) were great. And all band members and back-ground singer are hot and good looking, especially in their outrageous outfits!

  • Awesome Show!

  • Super Fun!!!

by beltanegoddess on 9/14/10Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

Completely enjoyed ourselves at this show on Sunday night. The group was full of energy and we danced, danced, danced the night away. Definitely going down as one of the most fun shows ever and I'll make it a point to see them again should they come back to the Bay Area in the future.

  • Lovely venue; poor sound

by Anonymous on 9/14/10Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 4 out of 5

The Fox Oakland is an exotic and beautiful venue. Unfortunately the sound was not mixed properly so the instruments were good (but too loud) and the vocals lost. The vocal quality was shrill. We were in the balcony.

Rockin. We were up dancing the entire time and their energy never ceased!

OMG!!!! The Scissor Sisters were awesome!!! The crowd was amazing and the sound, unbeliveable. I will see them every time they come to San Francisco.

  • Scissor Sisters - Better than Ever

by SFKylieFanatic on 9/14/10Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

I first saw the Scissor Sisters in 2004 and after six years, not only has their latest album, "Night Work" outdone their previous albums, their latest show has outdone those original shows I have seen. The energy on the stage was fast, dancy and fun. There are not a lot of frills, and it does have a cabaret feel to it. Jake brings a Freddy Mercury vibe to the stage and the band works well together. There was not a dull moment during the show - especially with mics falling in the pit, and pic stands falling all over the place. I would have liked to have seen maybe one more costume change. Perhaps, they can take a page out of Kylie Minogue's stage book, since they tend to work together here and there.

  • time to put on a rock show

by sfkooks on 9/14/10Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 4 out of 5

I feel like the Sisters lost a bit of what makes them special. It was almost as if they said, "ok, it's time for us to put on a rock show" and then followed a rock show rule book. The show felt very rehearsed and not very genuine. I have seen them about 6 or 7 times and they used to seem to be having a lot more spontaneous fun instead of this ridiculous choreography they did on stage. Also, the closing rendition of Filthy Gorgeous was not good at all. They should have stuck with the original arrangement.

  • Scissor Sisters rocked the house!

by Jillzie on 9/14/10Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

What made the show so great is the band's frequent interactions with the audience. The band is so pro-sex, anti-discrimination and they just want everyone to dress-up, explore and have fun! Hard to beat that kind of attitude!
